Gspotter
that's part of the equation but placement is also part of the equation too, not sure if that's what I'm seeing here!

He also seems to be a bit erratic in his direction . although the ball does look like a dead bird falling out of the sky , perhaps he will create a few muffed receptions this way. Treehugger
An AFL kicker should be able to send the ball out-of-bounds 50+ yards down field with no problem. It'd be a flatter trajectory but being able to accurately send a ball downfield to a teammate on the run is what the game is all about.
Storm
I'm not too worried about directionality...it seems Feagles is staying...whether or not he's still a Giant come opening day is yet to be determined....I wouldn't mind keeping two punters...especially if Jy Bond can potentially take over kickoff duties, as well...totally different skills though.... Filed at 1:28 p.m. ET NEW YORK (Reuters) - The New York Giants have gone Down Under to sign punter Jy Bond, a former semi-professional Australian Rules footballer. Bond, 30, was signed by the Miami Dolphins in April but released in June. He then trained with fellow Aussies Sav Rocca of the Philadelphia Eagles and twice Pro Bowl punter Darren Bennett, the Giants said in a news release on Friday. Jeff Feagles, a 22-year NFL veteran who is now a free agent, has been the Giants punter for seven seasons. Storm
"Jeff Feagles, the Giants’ incumbent punter, told the Daily News today that he “absolutely” intends to return for his 23rd NFL season and expects that he’ll play his eighth season with the Giants. Feagles is an unrestricted free agent, but he said negotiations are currently ongoing even though the Giants announced the signing of punter Jy Bond." Feagles isn't even on the roster anymore No Feagles He can "Absolutely intend" to do what ever he thinks if the Giants don't offer him a contract he's done . Do you think He will stay? we will then have 4 Kickers, 2 place kickers and and 2 punters ...how many teams would even think about carrying 4 kickers into a season that's a waste of 3 spots( if you ask me personally) but not all kickers are punters and not all punters are kickers. that athelete is a rare breed. Anyway the writting is on the wall. Feagles had a great career as a punter he is done and he deserves to retire . He has been in the league for 22 years and is 44 years old . The only way he returns is if Jy gets injured .
Storm
Listen man, I'm simply reposting exactly what the previous article said. Feagles says talks are ongoing, I'm inclined to believe him. I'm not quoting something I made up... It's called training camp competition, dude. He very likely will get the contract...doesn't mean he's on the team but he might beat out this dude. Hence, the thought of 3 kickers...it's not unheard of.
Nas
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANLvMsb-eUA watched the first clip and somethings I didn't like... his technique is off.. he takes too many steps with his head down... you're not gonna get that much time after the snap.. to kick the ball. Also he's wearing summer shorts now.. game time it's gonna be cold, he'll be wearing pads.. and the ball is much heavier in the winter. That average is not impressive given those traits.... Having said that I'm a horrible punter myself... like more horrible than this guy. The punt really goes up.. good hang time.. but it lands only 10 yards away... wtf. Also wanna add.. I hope I'm proven wrong.

Nas
It's that leg extension! I do kick the ball a bit too fast... I can't time the kick to go any slower... fearing it would impact the strenth of the kick.
boohyah
I see nothing special there, And there's nothing to say that the Giants won't go after another punter, other than this guy. I believe that feagles is probably done as a Giant. he didn't have a good year last year, not at least as good as other year. I think they may be willing to risk runbacks if they can pin the opponent back a bit further. Field position killed us last year. It is doubtful that JY Bond will ever do kickoffs. As tree said, he is an Aussie Rules player who is more suited to kicking the ball out of his hands, in fact Aussie Rules guys never kick the ball off the ground. And the Giants would be foolish for keeping 2 punters.

Direction is good enough. No need to 'Directionality' (Sorry I couldnt contain the English Prof in me much longer) How you been Storm? Reese seems to be soiling himself recently.
