  1. Very rare? or Sometimes? Ok! Italian Dog says: ......in the end, it is a very rare occassion that an officials bad call loses a game for a team ("Very rare" is a bit stronger than "sometimes") Platinum is very rare. Sometimes the Giants win and sometimes they lose.
  2. Why not? the words 'very rare' and 'sometimes' need a little clarification. So my question is are refs calls VERY RARELY affecting outcomes of games or are their calls SOMETIMES affecting the outcome of games? There is a difference.
  3. What is "confirmed" is that NOTHING is confirmed! Regular season games (albeit are important) BUT this playoff season is a totally different animal. Anything could happen Mr. Egg. Example: Tampa Bay rested it's players 2 weeks ago lost the last two games....question? Does that confirm that the Bucs cannot find a way to beat the Giants? Giants played their asses off vs the Patriots and played a tuff game vs. Buffalo to clinch a Wild Card. Does that mean the Giants can't beat the Bucs because they so called 'barely' beat the Bills and play all of their starters vs the Pats? Washington Redskins: Is it confirmed that they'll beat the Seahawks based on their hot streak? Seriously, that's why they play the games. Egg can talk all of this jibberish all he wants....but if he could predict outcomes of playoff games like it seems...maybe he should give me the winning lotto numbers for tonite...it is Saturday.
  4. No one says shit about that dirty ass Woolfolk....because this is the perfect franchise! As soon as us Giants fans complain about it....silly m-fers wanna talk about us 'whinning' and 'conspiracy theories'. (shit, I wont even mention that Rodney Harrison....) That guy coulda ruined Jacobs' career Should be the REAL focus. And based on the media, Patriot fans and some posters in here it wasn't anything to complain about. Our team should just get better and stop using this for an excuse. Like I've stated in other threads....I've lost a lot of respect for the Patriots after the Giants game. They are dirty. The eye poking was the most serious of all their dirt. And they were doing shit in the game (i.e. holding, leg whipping and late hitting) that wasn't even necessary IF they are so 'perfect'.
  5. Question: Do you think that the fine for Woolfolk was just? And do you beleive that HE should have been ejected or at least flagged for that 'accidental' poke? If you gonna flag #81 Toomer for a 'tripping' on the sidelines...(replay shows it never happened) why not at least flag the poking? Smell that? And nowhere did I say 'conspiracy'. I believe my words were coddling the Football darlings...... :worshippy:
  6. Italian Dog says: ......in the end, it is a very rare occassion that an officials bad call loses a game for a team Which one is it? Just asking? Rare? or Sometimes?
  7. I will talk about it. We deserved that 'missed call' v. the Eagles. And you are right. Bad calls happen to all teams. Hence it's why I say not every team plays every week and blows out an opponent in so that a refs 'bad call' affects them. But when a game is tight, there's been plenty of times where 'bad calls' affected the game...including Giants games and Patriot games. Question: How many great teams would you say there are THIS year in the NFL?
  8. Question: (I'm just taking an example from a game). For example the Giants are on Defense...playing the BEST perfect team on the planet....it's the fourth quarter....the offense is facing 3rd and 6...QB drops back to pass...gets sacked...brings up 4th down right? Oh no! Holding Defense - - - 1st down Offense. Replay shows that both reciever and DB bumped each other. Mind you in the third Quarter , the refs overlooked a WORSE "holding" situation (the takedown by the DB on a WR in the end zone before the ball arrived). Back to the 'perfect team' staying alive on that drive..... Offense stays alive....gets three points out of it. My question is what makes you think that 'holding' call did NOT affect the game???? And that's just ONE example. Lots of refs calls affect the game. Every game isn't a blowout. Sure lots of games come down to a play or two AND plenty of games come down to a refs 'call' or two also. NFL network even has a segment where the Assistant commisioner of the refs explains these effed up calls that affect games.....why? If it's so rare that calls affect the outcome of games....why have a segment on it??? SO....what makes you think that 'holding' call did NOT affect the game????
  9. It's coming! And Burress will be suspended the next game SHOULD the Giants beat the Bucs.
  10. My point EXACTLY. I mean the Steelers IF they were to play exactly the same for 16 straight weeks (in their Superbowl winning season) what would u have? Teams get hot, teams get cold...it's the NFL. "Oh we were 10 and 6 during the regular season, we won the last 4 of 5 remaining games....why should we hope to win in the playoffs...after all were only 10 and 6..." Read that out loud Egg and see how silly that sounds. I guess only 13-3, 11-5 or 16-0 teams should 'care' about the post season. Obviously (according to Egg) only 'good' teams need apply!!!
  11. With the exception of a Miami, didn't MOST teams go thru ups and downs during the season? (minus NE and Dallas too). Washington (in the beginning of the season) wasn't that hot.....but now they are. Reguardless of who they played they are HOT! Tampa Bay has lost 2 out of thier last three games (I believe) but yet you seem to think the Giants will have trouble vs them? Why should anyone think that based on your theory of "why should that suddenly change after 16 weeks?" What would be your theory IF the Giants knock off the Bucs? Or Seattle knocks off the Redskins? I'm curious? And if you are 'dead on' with your theories and beliefs???Who should I bet on to win it all this season?
  12. Jerry Porter on the right team could turn 'it' around a la Randy Moss. I say that team is the Giants.
  13. Thank God someone FINALLY said it!!!!! Fuck the Patriots...I'm not buying into that 'Superior team' nonsense!
  14. Asterics + Steroids = Asteriods
  15. Nothing against YOU. I am merely pointing out the NFL's love fest for the Pats and the Giants hatred. It's the NY medias fault in a sense. They are so critical of everything the Giants do and the rest of the Nations media follows suit. It rolls over to the game, officiating, etc...tie that in with the 'perfect' season and there u have it. I aint mad with ya....just venting in General. And just because a player shoves you to the ground....your retailiation should be poking an eye? Again, just a comment....nothing to argue about.
  16. That's why we have a message board. Venting is good. P.S. Fuck New England!
  17. But as we all know...the Pats are a "perfect" team and the greatest thing since sliced bread (sliced bread: overrated) and the Pats are Jesus and the 12 disicples.....anyway we all realize that some games played will be closely contested and can go either way....why the FUCK should a fucked up call decide it? Or a NON CALL affect the outcome? Of course I would have loved for the Giants to blow them Pats out of the sky....but the game was a tight one. Pats gave up 35 points to a so called lousy offensive team with a so called 'struggling' QB. So that statment about not allowing the refs to decide it could have went against the Pats and the WHOLE fucking planet (excluding Giants fans) would have been up in arms IF the Giants would have won on some bullshit call that went against them. For example....there was a point where the Giants D line was getting to Brady. Forced them into a 3 down situation. We get the sack....but wait....whoa....hld on....there's a flag! Defensive holding on the secondary. Reply showed that it was ticky tack. But yet it was called. During that same series....Osi was being held and I believe Strahan was taken down to thew turf. No holding on them???? My thing is what if there was a no call, Giants forced them to punt, and we end up winning by 3 points? Instead the penalty gave the Pats life and I think THEY scored 3...... .....NE 38 - NYG 35
  18. This may sound like a 'retarded' comment....but how can you love the Red Sox and be a Giants fan too? Just curious????
  19. Ok Chris....errrrrr Since we can say that was pass interferance. What about the NO CALL against Plax? Plax's so called 'push off' was slight and before the ball got to him.....the NEXT thing that happened was Plax being 'taken down'. Was that Defensive PI?
  20. The booth (Chris) explained it away by saying ***if Wilkerson would have turned around, maybe the ref doesn't throw that flag*** then he critiques the coverage scheme because of a LB on a Moss type. More Hating on the G Unit!
  21. I wont go that FAR.... (Cowboys/Pats SB....ewwww!!!). But that's what I am saying! But I betcha Burress gets a fine for the "worst officiating in his 8 yr carreer" he's experienced comment. And nothing will happen to Wilfork.
  22. Good morning.... ...and BTW, Fuck the Patriots.
