  1. Usually....usually.....I can keep the pressure well within normal, even if I skip the meds. But I'll be damned is I can't get that heartbeat below 90, usually it's around 100-110 no matter what I do (or don't do). But with the Gman loss and the Yankees going to the series, my heart can't take it.
  2. On the bright side, the Yankees are goin' to the series. And they'll win it.
  3. Execution was sub par to say the least.....again. Except this time it was the O. Too many dropped passes and turnovers. And just where were the blitzes that Sheridan said he'd learned his lesson from last week? Last week's loss was bad, this was disturbing. Gmen gots some work ahead of 'em, no doubt.
  4. Rik's current blood pressure: 173 over 94 Heart bangin' away at 119 beats per minute. Not good, not good at all. FUCK.
  5. I picked a helluva day to forget to take my heart medicine.
  6. That's the Arizona Head Bob. Everyone's doin' it.
  7. True Giants football. Out come the Rolaids.
  8. Damn, Kurt completed to Breaston. We're doomed.
  9. Well, we all know you don't know jack anyway.
  10. You're right, European soccer fans are extremely loyal. It's not just for the love of the game, but it's a day out with the boys, a chance to get away from everyday life. For some it is a way of life, seriously. Goodell, try as he may, will never, ever be able to tap that market. He's got a better chance of Jesus himself sitting down in his office with a nice Latte`, telling him the immaculate reception really was a reception. Plus, if Raider fans have a bad reputation, wait til he gets drunken hooligans turning up each week. (***DISCLAIMER: Not all soccer fans are drunken hooligans, European fans are just more famous for it and I'm just using it as an example.END DISCLAIMER***). All Goodell needs to do is take a look at what a financial disaster bringing Beckham in to try and boost U.S. interest in soccer has been. Aside from giving us more photos of Posh Spice, it really hasn't done much to boost interest in the sport, and placing an NFL team in London wouldn't generate more interest in the NFL. I think interest would stay pat, and possibly decline with a full time team. Just take a look at the NFL Europe experiment. Although I will admit, if I still lived over there I'd still be a die hard Giants fan, but I'd cream my panties at the thought of having the NFL in town for a full season. But I doubt Goodell gives a rat's ass about displaced fans.
  11. Before the season started I figured that game to be a lock for the Gmen. If Denver keeps playing like they have been, we're going to get a beating of Saintly proportions. Granted, that game is 6 weeks away with a bye, but they'll only have 4 days to prepare for it, not including travel time. It'll be a challenge.
  12. Now there's the BB01 we all know and love. Where ya been, Cochise?
  13. When you score a TD every possesion, there's little need to kick a FG.
  14. It's the Bronx-cum-suburbanite in me, what can I say?
  15. If the Giants were in it and weren't getting their asses handed to them, yeah, I could live with a 1 TD loss better than a 21 point beatdown. I agree they were better prepared and the better team won, and although we got hit with some really shit calls, we probably still would have lost. While a loss to KC would have caused a global mass coronary amongst the Giants faithful, it would have been likened to the Browns game last year, and hopefully the Gmen would have regrouped and moved on. Of course, that is just a hindsight observation and very easy to say now, but you get my point. A loss is a loss and sucks no matter how it gets spun, and I certainly don't think 1 loss constitutes the end of the season.
  16. I agree. I've worked my game plan plenty of times after downing 14-17 pints.
  17. You make good points, but I think everyone is in the crapper because of the way we lost, not the loss itself. We all predicted a close, albeit homerific, outcome. Had we lost by 3, maybe 7, hell I'll go as far as to say 10 even, it would be better than getting our asses handed to us. I don't think anyone thought we were going undefeated, but let's face it, the Saints are better than Tampa Bay, KC, and Oakland all rolled into one, and if we are truly the better team, we should have won. I think that's what everyone's so upset about. Most of us had the Gmen at 12-4 - 14-2, and that's still attainable. It just sucks we laid an egg this particular week. I think I'd have rather lost a 'trap' game to KC and gotten a loss out of the way.
  18. Forget Arizona's 'high powered' offense, our D is going to be so fired up, Warner won't know what hit him. He's going to see grocery bags circling around his head like stars. Giants by 17. If Philly loses next week, (which I doubt seeing as Washington are the Raiders, part duex), they begin a horrible downward spiral that we will take advantage of. If they beat the Waiders, we lose a zero TD game 6-9 on two Tynes misses. San Diego's a tough call, with that whole "we hate Eli for dissing us, thank God we have Rivers" thing. But this one's at home, Gmen by 10.
  19. I think this was more on execution and the fact that the Saints O-line had a great day. This was a team loss all the way around, although, I think Sheridan was gun shy about blitzing.
  20. So with Dallas on a bye, the division stands as it was last week. No? Aside from the pain of watching the high school version of the Giants get waxed, I suppose I can live with that.
