We can't be sure they didn't get the best out of him. The problems with Simmons were brought up at the draft. Where do you play him?. Anyway, it's a good move for us because of the low risk and like I said, he's probably situationally. I doubt he'll be up for any big multi year deals at the end of this. But the Eagles are doing this for years and it pays off.

Prince was average with the Giants and in Chicago. He had a decent career, nothing special.

It's totally worth a 7th to take a chance here. But the whole " he was used wrong" reminds me a bit of Jaylen Smith. Great athlete, Dallas used him wrong, comes to the Giants, great athlete, can't read gaps. Simmons has been in the league 3 years and as a first, should have improved the Cards D. But it hasn't happened. He's not going to take snaps off Mc Fadden or Beavers, he'll be situational. What's to like here is the Giants keep building some serious depth.

Well got to see United - Wolves, brought the wife on this trip and amazingly for a person who still has little idea what's going on out there, she enjoyed the experience. Decent win although Wolves didn't show a whole lot of fight since they are safe. Then after that game, took a taxi to watch the Division 2 Playoff between Salford City and Stockport County. Gettleman wasn't a stupid GM overall. . The problem was that towards the end of his tenure, he was more concerned with thinking he was the smartest guy in the room as opposed to working to make the club better. He wouldn't move with modern times. His early round draft picks were fine, but as was said earlier, when you are picking in the top ten you should hit most of the time. The later rounds on the other hand were a dud, hopeless and it led to our depth problems. He never fixed the offensive line, again more interested in telling the press he knew more than they did with his special project linemen. I was on board with him at the start but tired of him. They should have dumped him the same year they dumped Shurmur and maybe then we could have started this project 2 years ago and not have to go through the Judge mess.
