  1. for about a year now, ive been screamed at by all my friends for saying that. they dont understand how u can love the yanks, as i do, and then hate jeter. the reason u hear that is because kay worsjips him. for actually being someone who understands baseball ya dont even think about sayin nomar. if you want to name a shortstop that was better then him u could find two. at the time of the big four in shortstops (nomar jeter a-rod and tejada) arod and tejada used to be better. now a-rod has moved to third and id prefer jeter on my team over tejada. u cant say hes the best of his era. unless his era is the past 2 years. nomar was so much better in his day with boston. before he get hurt and all the excuses started coming, nomar hit 30 home runs a year and over 120 rbis. he batted number 3 or 4 in the lineup, right with manny in a time before the emergence of david ortiz. jeter is a good player, dont get me wrong, but not fantastic.
  2. dont classify all yankees fans like that. I HATE DEREK JETER!! he is a showoffy prettyboy and people love him because he is "eye candy". i cannot stand all the shallow fans who think he drove them to 4 WS wins. i am so tired. jeter never won and never will win an MVP. jeter also never won a gold glove because a-rod won them at short stop. arod hit 48 homers last year and has 2 mvps, one with the rangers. jeter has wat the 200 hits a year thing. i mean yea that shows consistnecy, but not mvp calibur. i remeber wen the yanks got arod, all the fans started comparing him to babe ruth, as the greatest player of all time. now those same fans jump on him every time arod makes an out. if jeter grounds into a double play with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth to end a game, its like "o thats ok jeter, all ur gay lovers will still give u a bath after the game". if arod did that, he is malled by media and fans with the whole" hes not a yankee thing because he doesnt get an rbi or hr every time he comes to bat." it is so bias against arod in a situation like that. i thought everybody said arod "earned his pinstripes" when he hit 3 hr and 10 rbis off of colon last season. who ever made the definition of a yankee anyway? is it all being clutch? aaron boone beat the red sox with the walk off shot in the ALCS Game 7 in 2003, is he a yankee? bucky dent never did anything cept beat the sox in the one game playoff in 1978, is he a yankee? dave winfield won batting titles and consistently had great seasons, is he a yankee? arod always has huge seasons, but he is never held to the same standards as other players. as a yankee fan and anti-jeter, i do not understand how people judge players as harshly as they do arod. he is on your team root for him. like the gianmts fan root for bonds even through all of the steriod allegations, yankee fans should still be supporting arod through everything, even if he hasnt been as consistent as he is supposed to be. thats all i got to say Torn084 out
  3. im happy and all because he is my starting quarterback, but i know that he had an advantage because he was the biggest name involved in the case. moe williams is not very well known, so now he is screwed
  4. i would trade a-rod for wright, pedro, and some minor league talent. or at least a bat and a bag of balls cuz he cant hit with runners in scoring position.
  5. or FITM at Metszone.net can help u out, right plax?

    Paps...

give the kid a chance. he has really good stuff and he showed it last year 34 innings 34 srikeouts, francona would b crazy not to leave him in cuz foulke is done
  7. actually it was a 16 game hit streak after he missed 57. but even if rollins did break it, there would always be an asterisk next to his name saying" over two seasons"
  8. well dolphins start the season on the road in pittsburgh. beating the reigning champion is not the easiest thing to do opening day, not to mention the first game of the football season.
  9. hey, you can be both. i love the yankees, and i make fun of them every chance i get too. i know all the stats and stuff, but i dont hesitate too diss them. in fact, boston can have damon back, i want bubba crosby to start
  10. the star ledger is always gonna pick yankees and mets. no offense, they picked delgado to win nl mvp. hes gonna have a good year, but i cant see it being of mvp proportions
  11. actually as of monday, i am a cool yankees/brewers fan but i know what you mean, all my friends cant deal with it. especialyl bigdfan21, a troll but hes gone now. everyday he argues with me
  12. i dont see the big deal about enter sandman they can both have it
  13. yea more metsy fans are needed, not really. most people post in everything, like me. im even on metszone.net and im a diehard yanks fan, so juzz get people here and they'll post everywhere
  14. no im in new joisey. but i watched alot of the WBC and kept on track with my stats online. i no im a loser
  15. matt cain, the number four starter, closed for team canada in the world baseball classic. he could step into the role if needed
  16. at this rate. prince fielder will have a .000 batting average, 0 home runs, 0 rbis, 0 hits and 648 strike outs. and i have him i nthree fantasy leagues :brooding:
  17. on this other board im on, phinfever, tx dolfan made one. it came out really nice. its culpepper in a dolphins jersey holding out a ball, with dolphins logos in the back, and green and orange tiled background colors
  18. dont forget chad johnson and steve smith
  19. wut program do you need?
  20. this is a great deal for the indians. sizemore looks to b a great player in a season or two. they signed him 6 years at 23.45 million. thats less than 4 million a year.
  21. would have been nice in maimi across from allen. still going after law tho
  22. opening day september 7, 2006, miami dolphins will take on the pittsburgh steelrs in heinz field. i am so hyped for this game. culpeppers first victim will be the reigning champs. what better way to b welcomed to a new team? plus, thanksgiving vs. lions. we already have more games planned for tv here than last year (4 this year, 3 last year). gonna b so amazing
  23. beltre is gonna return to form this year i predict .305-35-117 in a lineup that will depend on that. delgado could make a run at mvp, but i am not too convinced. if the mets werent too stupid to realize 22 isnt too young to hit 3, wright would b top 5 candidates
