I will give Loretta the fielding credibility, but I think you are over stating his hitting. Loretta is not a power hitter by any means. While he seems suited to the two hole (.311-1-22) it is not fantastic numbers. This team relies on pitching and defense now, as said by the Boy Wonder, Theo Epstein. The Sox do what they have to in those departments, and get just enough offense to put them ahead. Sure, some nights the bats will explode, but usually that is the case. As for Loretta, he is doing his job both ways.

first of all its not an "o" at the end its a "zero". Second, i never said he wasn't a good player. U must have misunderstood me. He is a great player, but I just don't care for him. Although Loretta is filling the gap nicely, if u keep having 6-7 past balls a game, ur not going to win because that will lead to bigger problems. But the Sox got an amazing deal out of this becuase they got loretta, and ended up with mirabelli again.

He isn't really hurt. While I can only speculate to the durability of his legs, this is a reoccuring injury. I was listening to Mike and Mike yesterday and they said that the tendon behind his knee moves up closer to the knee cap every once in a while. It happens about 2-3 times a season to Jorge. This just might be a little more extreme case than usual.

He is pretty much theonly guy in baseball who can catch for a knuckleball pitcher a.k.a tim wakefield. Mirabelli was on the team for about 3 years, but the Sox did not sign him in the off season. Once the Sox saw how ineffective Josh Bard was at catching the knuckleball, they traded bard and cash to the Padres for Mirabelli. That was the game that he was escorted in a police car from the airport just to make the yanks-sox gamer on time.

I would love to have Wilkinson on the Dolphins, but DT is one of the few positions that we are overstocked in, especially with the promise of young Manny Wright.
