  1. How many times has this been posted?
  2. if that's what it takes then fuck them!
  3. I don't have insider and I'm at work so I can't listen to the report on espn.com. Do you know who they want for him?
  4. Anyone know if this trade is going to go through? If so what are we offering up for him?
  5. Not only for us... we should email them to the asshole at NFL Live.
  6. We are predicted to finish third because the experts that are making the predictions are complete idiots. They are basing their predictions on the fact that we had a horrible playoff game and not on the fact that we had a great season and offseason. We'll see what happens when the season starts, and once again those same experts will removing their feet from their mouths.
  7. Okay... I am getting really tired of hearing people complain about these voluntary workouts. I couldn't finish reading the article because it's sickening. Maybe it's me, but I only needed to see the ball come out of someone's hand once to know how they threw and where I need to be when they threw, so all this talk about timing doesn't mean a damn thing to me. On top of that he's making it seem like Shockey and Burress skipped workouts to go and party. If anyone followed the situation last year, there was a bunch of crap about Shockey skipping the voluntary workouts and he responded with his best season of his pro career. I am a firm believer in needing to help oneself before you can help someone else. Shockey was underperforming when he was training with the team, and we know what happened when he trained in Miami. Now I don't know about Burress because I haven't followed his career, but I'm sure that Manning appreciated the 7-8 TDs that Burress caught last year as well. Also if my memory serves me correctly, Toomer didn't go to the workouts either, so what's the deal with all this ill will towards Burress and Shockey? Other than that, from what I was able to read before I became sick to my stomach, this guy doesn't seem to understand that it takes time for a QB to develop and considering that Manning threw 24 TDs and had his team win the toughest division in football in his first full season tells me that he's progressing nicely. Granted his production sputtered at the end of the year, but the causes (mechanics and predictability of play-calling) of that can be corrected easily. Besides that there's enough time in training camp to work with his teammates. Some people may not agree with my POV, but that's their opinion and they're entitled to it. I just don't believe that this "problem" with the receivers skipping workouts is as serious as it's being made to be. Also Eli Manning will be amazing in the future and will be great this coming year. That's my two cents.
  8. I know, but I refuse to give Carolina or anyone else for that matter the nod over the champs until they are dethroned. Don't get me wrong... I can't stand Seattle, but the fact is that they are the NFC Champions meaning, regardless of how lucky they are, they are the team to beat in the NFC. And they will be surpassed by us.
  9. Oh no I'm not denying that Carolina is good. I'm just saying that it's retarded to say that the Panthers or any team in the NFC for that matter should be considered to be better than the champs. This is exactly how I feel about the NFC East. It is absurd that anyone should be considered to be better than us when we are the defending division champions. As far as their RB/OL situation goes, you're absolutely right, but my point here is the same as before. No one wants to say that Carolina ran all over us due to us having close to or over 50% of our defense injured, so why should I give them the benifit of the doubt when their RBs and OL were performing well enough to get them to the NFC Championship game. Seattle out played them and in my mind Carolina shouldn't be rated higher.
  10. We were outplayed in that game until the 4th quarter. What I don't get (besides the obvious disregard for the team that is coming into the season as the defending NFC East Champions) is where they come off thinking that Carolina is better than Seattle. Yeah Carolina beat up on a Giants team that was nowhere near full strength, and then beat Chicago, but when it came to Seattle, Carolina got there asses handed to them. Now most people would say that I'm basing this (my argument that Seattle is better than Carolina) on that one game, but everyone is basing the entire 2005 season for the Giants on the playoff loss so what's the difference? The other thing is that they said something to the effect of "Someone has to win this division (NFC North)" What is that all about? Chicago was 12-4 last year and they were the 2nd seed in the playoffs. It's not like that division is horrible. Also what were the Jags doing ranked 17th in the league when they were 12-4? Although overlooked a lot, Jacksonville was amazing last season. The NFL analysts on ESPN are full of crap and have no knowledge whatsoever. That was made completely clear today as I watched Merril Hodge on ESPNEWS say that the Philadelphia Eagles would finish the season 9-6 and just miss the playoffs. No that isn't a typo, he said that they would finish 9-6. They're pathetic.
  11. Don't take this as me not being happy that you finally get to watch... but I still can't! The game is gonna get blocked in the NY area and we don't have SNY on Dish Network. I hate working when the Mets play! :brooding:
  12. He looks jacked, but he also looks short. I think it's Barber. Offense As far as what we need to improve on, I believe that our overall "predictability" needs to be dealt with. I think that with Moss and Carter (pending if he can stay healthy) we have a lot of creative offensive options. I see a lot of reverses and WR screens to start the season off and later on (meaning around weeks 4-6) we'll start to see the Giants start to stretch the field more often. If Eli can refine his mechanics and become more consistent, we could be looking at the most dominant offense we've ever had. Defense I'd like to see the secondary get some picks... and seeing how stone hands is gone and we have a few ball hawks back there now, I should be satisfied. I'd also like to see our LBs stay on the field, and I'd like to see someone on the DL besides Strahan and Osi unleashing hell on the opposing offense. As great as they are, 92 and 72 shouldn't be the only people on the DL to be feared. Special Teams Seriously, the only thing here that I can think of that really went wrong was that stretch where Feely was cold in his FGs. That should be fixed so nothing to really complain about here. Thanx for giving me time to slightly evaluate areas of concern.
  13. Shockey's circus catch against the Chargers. Toomer's TD against Seattle. Plax's one-handed catch against SF. Barber's run vs. Dallas (hard to explain but he was knocked up into the air and then hit again and somehow got his feet back on the ground and kept going.) Barber's game against KC 95 yard TD by Barber against Oakland Plax's TD vs. Oakland Gibril Wilson's hit on Brad Johnson Shockey's rolling TD against SF just to name a few.
  14. So this starts off as a comment on the top 50 players in the NFL and you turn it into a pissing match about Shockey. The years that Shockey came to the VOLUNTARY WORKOUTS his production suffered, but the two years he went to Miami (rookie season and last season) he came back a beast. You will see the same in Burress this year. As someone eluded to eariler, Shockey has had three Pro Bowl selections in four years with four different people throwing him the ball, and two completely different coaching staffs. And I'll save you the time of typing this... Fab 4's response, "The Pro Bowl is a popularity contest." Fan voting is only a portion of the selection process, meaning that three times... Shockey was put into the Pro Bowl due to his production, not his popularity. Also I seem to recall the four of you complaining... or rather bitching about Shockey skipping the Pro Bowl to heal injuries that he had been playing with for most of the season. Please STFU or leave.
  15. Because I feel the need to try and save this board from their constant flow of garbage.
  16. Ron Dayne was a Heisman Trophy winner and as far as I know, EA can't see into the future, so how could he have known that Dayne would be a bust. Everyone thought that Dayne was the BPA at the time. Eli Manning WILL be the best QB to come out of that draft when he fixes his mechanics. And don't even start that "Roethlisberger has a ring" debate cause the Steelers were on the edge of greatness before he got there. Eli outperformed Ben when they met in 2004, and although a missed Def. PI cost us the game(Toomer getting tripped), a blind man could see that Eli outplayed Ben. As far as William Joseph goes, we needed a Defensive Lineman that year... not a RB. Why the fuck would we have drafted Larry Johnson just to have him sit on the bench and complain about not getting in? Stop complaining or go be a Cowboys fan.
  17. "You're not gonna catch 100 balls in this offense." Bill Parcells.
  18. I'd say Jax over NO. There's three teams in Florida, and they're the ones that are the most ignored.
  19. Didn't Philly have some new guy slated to start tonight?
  20. Welcome to the boards.
  21. I'll be there and I'll clap out of respect, but when Eli runs out of the tunnel it'll kinda be like this... :worshippy: :worshippy:
  22. Then we should send him out on top. Strahan should retire as a Super Bowl Champion just like Bettis did this year.
