  1. Oh damn sorry to hear that... Get well soon cause our ride ain't stoppin before we're crowned as World Series Champions
  2. Hopefully this year ends better than the last time all of my teams were doing well. 2000-2001 season Giants NFC Champions Destroyed in Super Bowl Mets NL Champions Destroyed in World Series Florida State University ACC Champions Destroyed in National Championship :brooding: NJ Devils Eastern Conference Champions Lost in 7 in Stanley Cup Finals My Lakers NBA Champions but my Bulls sucked that year.
  3. Damn Straight ... now Exit has to make new sigs
  4. My job sux ass... it's my manager that's the coolest in the world. We have 2 rows of LCDTVs and corporate decided that ESPNHD was the best out of all of the HD channels so we have to have it on. Doesn't help with football though cause we don't have any of the local channels in HD and we're usually getting ready to leave the store by the time MNF is getting good.
  5. I wouldn't be opposed to the bionic calf idea . Seriously though, didn't Lowe end up with a calf injury in Game 1 too? The question is what's happening on the field at Shea?
  6. Granted I wasn't watching in HD but I didn't have any problems. My problem is with ESPN's broadcast. I was watching the Yankees game at work yesterday and the game went to commercial between innings and when it came back the count was 1-2 w/ 1 out.
  7. They said that you guys have a lot of bullpen injuries and that's why Penny came in. I dunno... it worked for us so I'm not complaining.
  8. Alright Let's Go Wagner! On a side note... ESPN is one big ass jinx.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised... but this time the outcome will be different. 20 years later the Mets are World Series Champions again! I can see it now. :worshippy:
  10. Where was I crying? If anything your reply shows that you are a part of the massive group of classless, ignorant retards that they were talking about in the article.
  11. Crybabies? I'd say it takes a real bitch to take out the frustrations they have over a damn game on the fan of another team. I didn't like Michael Irvin at all but I thought that it was pathetic when the fans in Philly were cheering when he was injured. Same thing with the Dawkins hit on Ike Hilliard. Late hit and the fans cheer. The refs throw a flag and they boo the call even though the replay showed the hit was late. Hilliard got injured for the season and the fans cheered. Now I don't know how the displaced Eagles fans are, but the ones in Philly are pathetic. And it stands true for the Phillies fans as well. Cheering injuries and starting fights cause your team blew a 17 point lead shows how classless they truly are.
  12. Well we ain't gonna know what we have until Lewis calls a blitz for Arrington instead of dropping him into coverage on every play.
  13. Tim Lewis needs to let Lavar unleash hell before we can decide whether he's a bust or not. Lavar Arrington/Coverage LB = Michael Vick/Pocket QB.

    BURRESS

It is very encouraging, but his quote about giving up points can be applied to Tim Carter as well. Carter doesn't drop that pass and he scores. No doubt about it. Even Tyree can be added to that. Granted I don't know if he would've scored, but if he catches his pass in stride it's a helluva lot more than 33 yards. BTW... Where was Sinorice Moss yesterday?

    BURRESS

Alright look... I'm addressing everyone in this post. 1. Regardless of how you look at it, benching Burress for the rest of the game was fucking retarded. You don't take the best receiver on the team off of the field and still expect to win. Taking him out wasn't making an example out of anything or anyone... it's saying we quit. I agree that maybe taking him out for a series could've fired him up, but it was more detrimental to leave him out. I'm not disputing Tyree's performance here either. David Tyree is a friend of the family so any time he's on the field I'm proud of him, but you put Burress in his position (or Tim Carter's position for that matter) and we probably score on both of those plays. 2. Shockey was completely justified in what he said BUT not where he said it. He's correct... we were out coached. We've been outcoached in every game since the Panthers game. The problem is how he went about it. Think about it for a second. In Shockey's defense... every game you hear about how we want to get him involved early because he's the emotional leader of this offense, but when does he catch his first pass? When is the first pass thrown to him? He can't help the team if he doesn't get the ball in his hands. Now that being said, I DO NOT AGREE with how he called the coaching staff out. It wasn't the right way to handle his frustration. Go to the coaches... not to the media. 3. I'm sick of hearing all this bullshit about how Arrington isn't living up to the hype. I can't stand Troy Aikman but he said it best when addressing the situation yesterday. Tim Lewis claimed to be following the same plan that Washington did when Arrington was a Pro Bowl LB, but I don't remember seeing Arrington drop into coverage on damn near every play in Washington. Now I haven't seen every play of every game this year, but I only remember seeing Arrington blitz ONCE and that was in the Colts game. Playing Arrington the way we are is the equivalent of making Michael Vick a pocket QB. It's retarded. Bottom Line. 4. While we're on the subject of defense... What the fuck is going on here? Why is Fred Robbins the only one that's getting penetration? There's no reason for this. Strahan couldn't have dropped off that much in one year. What the hell is going on with Osi? Is there some reason that we are ALWAYS OUT OF POSITION? If this doesn't get fixed Tim Lewis needs to get fired. 5. Do we have to go through Tiki Barber telling them to give him the ball again? Does our coaching staff really need to be told to get the ball in the hands of the team's MVP? Are they not smart enough to know this already? 6. Going back to the Shockey situation... (and this is directed towards the fans). What makes Shockey calling out coaching different from Barber doing it last year? Like I said before... he was correct in what he said... not who he said it to. Same goes for Barber. Having the media involved makes for a bad situation, but SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE. There's more, but I'm tired of typing now.
  16. Shouldn't be mentioned in this. He's begging for the ball and not getting it. On top of that he's playing hurt.

    Fark This

I dunno... people keep saying that I'm from the Matrix in that pic but that's too obvious.
  18. Link (Sept. 20, 2006) -- Quarterback Eli Manning of the New York Giants, defensive tackle Tommie Harris of the Chicago Bears and kicker Ryan Longwell of the Minnesota Vikings are the NFC Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for games played the second week of the 2006 season (Sept. 17-18), the NFL announced. OFFENSE: QB ELI MANNING, NEW YORK GIANTS Manning led the Giants to a historic comeback in a 30-24 overtime win over the NFC East-rival Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field, helping New York overcome a 17-point fourth-quarter deficit en route to the win. The victory marked the first time the Giants, trailing 24-7 entering the fourth quarter, overcame a 17-point margin in the final stanza since Nov. 15, 1970, when Pro Football Hall of Famer Fran Tarkenton led the club out of a 33-14 hole to defeat the Washington Redskins, 35-33. This time it was Manning guiding the club to a key win. After the Giants drew to within 24-14, Manning led a 33-yard scoring drive culminated by a 22-yard touchdown to Amani Toomer with 3:28 to play. Then after the Giants retained possession with 58 seconds remaining and no timeouts, Manning led the team 63 yards in six plays, with kicker Jay Feely forcing overtime with a 35-yard field goal. Manning's mastery continued in the extra session on the final drive, finding Plaxico Burress for the game-winning 31-yard touchdown pass. In the fourth quarter and overtime, Manning -- who finished 31 of 43 for 371 yards, three touchdowns and one interception for a 111.7 rating -- completed 20 of 26 attempts for 233 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. In his third season from Mississippi, this is Manning's first career Player of the Week Award.
