I'm one of those (well probably all of us) who thought keeping Coughlin was a huge mistake. I love getting rid of underperformers but TC should've been the first to go. Whether Tiki wanted to stay or go is another issue.. right now I couldn't careless. I like Jacobs. This season was a soap opera and for us to see our team making headlines negatively, it was too hard on us.

That's a lie. Reese made a comment about trying to convince Barber to come back and Barber said on his radio show "NO".. among other words. Obviously this writer is trying to show the other side of the coin which is perfectly fine. I agree with some of what he said but I still think Barber should've handled his retirement with humility.

That argument has a lot of credibility to it although those injuries were there before coughlin got there. A combination of strech excersizes like Yoga and not overworking the players can do wonders for a team's health.

Absolutely. As Giants fans we do love Tiki but when this self-promotion started early in the season and now this... it leaves a bad taste for us fans. The guy is acting like he did us a favor.

Tiki was a very good player. He played for us and we paid him handsomely. Let's not forget he was mediocre at best till his last 3 years. I'm not mad at Tiki for leaving.. that was his decision but to be a whore about it, I find it very annoying. I think we tend to think to highly of athletes. The guy was a running back, I don't expect him to be the 2nd coming of Mike Wallace. He knows America loves drama so he's making his splashes and looking like an idiot in the process. Tiki, you played for us, you did a decent job, we cheered for you because you were wearing Blue. Now if the New York Giants had taught you ANYTHING, it's to be classy.

When you unload 4 highly paid athletes (Tiki, Luke, Lavar, and Emmons), you have room for both Briggs and either Clement or Samuel. And still have enough money to sign blue collar players for depth and your rookies as well.

The injury had everything to do with it.. coupled with this huge pay of course.

I see your forward thinking. I just have a gut feeling the Giants will go after a prominent LB in FA and will get a LB in the first round. I merely pointed out that we have the room to make big moves in free agency that's all.

O'Hara shouldn't command that much salary. The way I see it, we unloaded Tiki, Lavar, Emmons, and Luke.. that's 4 highly paid players.. and you're telling me we can't bring in Briggs and either prominent CB (clement and Samuels) in FA?

That maybe the case but where's the wisdom in shoring up your OL with rookies? I think the Giatns are eying a prominant LT though.. I'm just not sure who's out there.
