  1. So random but.... I just noticed the Mechanicsburg PA. I'm from NY but I'm doing grad school out here in Harrisburg... weird coincidence. Kind of a culture shock out here in the country... We're in steelers town too so I'm jealous of them right now... Glad to see your not on that bandwagon.
  2. What a magical game... The second I heard about ariving in Arizona for the "funeral" dressed in all black followed by the Plaxico prediction I just knew we were going to win this game. Has to rank in the top 3 biggest upsets of all time.
  3. Oh my god - The way he called that Tyree play. AWFUL... What would it take for an enthusiastic call there? Does Tyree need to grow wings and fly to catch it?
  4. Just wondering cuz he's a big cubs fan and Giants fan and obsessed with the Ric Flair woooo
  5. Oh without a doubt has to be the best superbowl of all time... The play with Tyree.... the 3rd and freakin 11 and Smith tip toes the sidelines... amazing stuff
  6. Insane... Especially the avoided tackles... Also take note of the Smith 3rd and 10 play... it never gets any attention it was a sick play
  7. By the way - How in the hell did that play just happen?!
  8. I wouldn't say I've moved on - But I am taking it way better than normal. If we didn't win the superbowl the year before and we started off 11-1 damn right I would be losing sleep for weeks over us blowing it yet again. But that superbowl win gave me some peace of mind atleast for the next few years I think. The painful "laying egg" moments don't seem as rough after poping in some of those 2007 DVD's
  9. It did. But the D still played pretty freaking good most of the year. I think alot of people even forgot about Osi. For the first 8-9 games we had the number 1 D in the league. It hurt late. But I still think Plax is the man who cost us a ring. Our D couldn't have played too much better than they did for 3 quarters against the Eagles. By the half I think the Eagles were averaging like a yard per play and they were still winning. Terrible offensive showing for us.
  10. Man looking at NE's final drive... if we lose because of that that would have been too painful... the entire D was gassed. They really left all they had on the field that night.
  11. Go check it out after the replay of the 4th quarter. Its 6 segments - about 50 minutes long. It mostly covers the playoff games but goes through various high and low points of the season. The commentary by the three is awesome. You can tell how much the superbowl meant to Strahan. Its a must see.
  12. The America's game DVD's cover the superbowl's with commentary from the players and coaches on their season. The Giants one was done entirely by Manning, Strahan and Coughlin. They had it in segments in the multimedia section of giants.com - its excellent. I want to buy the DVD and watch it all at once though.
  13. Thanks! Watching now - Best day ever. Do you know when the America's game DVD is coming? I haven't seen it in stores or avaliable on i tunes for download.
  14. Maybe Eli can personally negotiate a contract with Jacobs
  15. I'm not talking numbers or production here. The fact that he didn't show enough to touch the field hardly at all is what scares me. He was a pretty big name coming out of college and if it weren't for character issues, he was projected as a first round pick. I would think that kind of talent could get you on the field a little.
  16. What do we have in him? I'm not going to sit around and watch this guy do nothing for 3 years and still pull at any excuse I can get to defend the guy - like some do with Sinorice Moss. This guy needs to step up and show something next year. I don't care that he missed alot of training camp or whatever. When you sign Derek Hagon at the end of the season - thats not a good sign. Manningham can't even get a few plays on the field with Plax out and Tyree on injured reserve? This one doesn't smell good. If Manningham showed the coaching staff anything, I would have thought they would be able to work him into the rotation. This could have allowed Hixon to return kicks and punts - An area where he thrives. Did the Giants make a mistake with MM?
  17. He has the big time ability to create separation but I can only see him really thriving on the team if we have that big time number 1 wideout that we had in Plax.
  18. The scary part about his possible return to the NFL (assuming no jail time) - There is a very good chance he would remain in the NFC East (but not on the Giants). Both the Redskins and Eagles have, for a long time, needed a big standout wr.
  19. I don't think anyone is "supporting" his criminal behavior. They are simply pointing to lack of consistency across the board in regards to the criminal justice system and sentencing.
  20. Thanks on the list... SOme of it may be old because Fitz has definitly been extended. Agree with most of your bolded picks except Hines. The guy's a possession receiver and is slower than Amani at this point in his career. Roddy White, Greg Jennings are beasts.... you forgot Brandon Marshall.
  21. I'm talking about after another season... considering there aren't many options this offseason.
  22. Tony Pisano's top 50 corners of 2008... 2. Corey Webster, New York Giants Season Totals: 66 attempts, 3.92 YPA, 65.15 Forced INC%, 1 TD, 3 INTs My two cents: Did Corey Webster seriously not make the Pro Bowl? I have come to terms with the Pro Bowl being absolutely meaningless, but that is just ridiculous. There wasn’t an NFC CB to even come close to the level on which Webster played. He led all CBs with a 3.92 YPA, and a 65.15 forced incompletion percentage. The only TD he allowed was to Terrell Owens in a week nine victory The stats don't lie
  23. Anyone know of any? If the Giants suffer through a weak 2009 production from their wideouts, what will there be avaliable for us to scoop up?
