  1. Your crazy.... 1. He has said in interviews he wants to play atleast 3 more years at minumum 2. He can still play 3. Some people think he can't play because apparently he is expected to be able to cover Westbrooke one on one - Im fine with the Giants bringing in a diff LB on third and long in obvious passing situations but Pierce still remains one of our pretty solid players.... Do I think he should get more money and the new contract that he wants - NO. But to bring this topic up is living in fantasy world. If anything I want Jesse Armstead to be the new linebacker coach.
  2. Ross is good - I don't completely understand the heat he gets on the boards. Have people forgot that this was his first full season as a starter?
  3. Also - Kenny Phillips played solid in his time as a rookie but was anyone else a little bit disappointed in him? I mean he played pretty good but all the reports out of training camp had him pegged as the next Ed Reed. I don't think he even had an interception. He did look good in his tackling and blitzes but I would like the kid to get his hands on the ball more next season. I didn't see that closing speed from sideline to sideline on the deep ball that everyone raved about in training camp. If this guy can become half of what Polamalu is in terms of teams not being able to throw the ball more than 20 yards on our defense without risking a pick then I'll be very happy.
  4. Your right I did forget TT - odd considering I noticed how well he has played and have been a big supporter of his. I wouldn't mind drafting more LB's but it seems we draft linebackers every year and none of them have the impact he hoped for. I honestly believe LB and WR are our only weakness. Address those two positions and add some depth in the secondary and we're golden.
  5. Their dropping like flies... unfortunately the front office didn't get the memo that only called for Gilbride being allowed and encouraged to leave
  6. Instigator. Why do you spend so much time on the Giants boards when you aren't a fan of the Giants again? Atleast declare the NFC East team you root for so we can understand your bitter attitude towards the Giants organization and its fans.
  7. Feagles is prob. coming back. Kicker is a concern though.
  8. I like Kiwi alot but I wouldn't be surprised if he decides to jump ship when his contract is up. The Giants are making this guy move around to a diff. spot every year. With 8.5 sacks in his first full season as a DE he might make for good trade bait before he leaves the team in free agency and we get nothing for him.
  9. I think McFadden, Ross, Webster and Dockery, Phillips, Johnson/Butler can form a great young secondary. He would be a great and young addition that would allow us to drop McQuarters and Madison (I hate to say that cause I love Madison) - but those guys are old.
  10. This is true.... FOR NOW... If Eli continues his TD-INT Ratio from 2008 I will be more than pleased. His play from the 2007 playoffs up until now gives me faith
  11. He has only thrown for 20+ touchdowns in 5 years out of his 10 year career.... Eli is already 4 for 4. That caught my eye.
  12. Bryant McFadden DB - Steelers Karlos Dansby LB - Arizona
  13. He's a good qb no doubt.... Not HOF numbers in my opinion and doesn't get it done in the big games. Also, I question his training and commitment to conditioning somewhat. Everyone has seen him tire out at times. He had to let the clock run down to the 2 minute mark in the first Giants game because he was too tired to get another play off. He has put on weight throughout his career and I question his commitment to busting it in the weight room. Add that to the fact that he likes to talk a big game and dance around and I can see why alot of people (including Eagles fans) are ready to start from scratch.
  14. He's a lock in my opinion after bringing the Arizona Cardinals to the superbowl We're talking about a team who has barely sniffed the playoffs in its entire history. 3rd superbowl appearance, multiple MVP honors and a superbowl winner. If Peyton keeps going one and done and is already a lock to be a first ballot HOF with one ring (yes I know he has put up sick stats) then Warner has to be a lock.
  15. I don't think its fair to call Boldin a T.O. Jr. . What Boldin did Sunday is something that T.O. does on a regular basis. The guy consistently is yelling at his coaches and players, has called a former qb gay, accused another qb of being jealous of him and the reason for him being suspended and eventually released from Philadelphia, seemed to care more about his superbowl stats than the team losing, got into a fist fight with a teammate in Philadelphia, accused Tony Romo and Jason Witten of conspiring against him and creating their own plays, etc... etc... It is unfair to compare Owens to anybody else who has ever played the game. He is a selfish player who puts himself before the team, thinks he is God's greatest gift, and in all likelihood suffers from a personality disorder of sorts.
  16. Obviously they are downplaying things just like all NFL teams do. The Giants did it with Shockey so this should come as no surprise. The fact is that Boldin has wanted out of Arizona for awhile now and I think he is a lock to leave. Now it just turns to whether the Giants will be smart enough to get a deal done.
  17. His name has been thrown around alot on the board. I don't know. Its easy to fall in love with his size but he is a Rutgers WR - that must be taken into consideration.
  18. I guess you have a point - well played. The good part about Kelly is that his contract would not be high due to where he will be picked... maybe a diamond in the rough.. We'll see. All I know is I do want to see atleast 2 wr's drafted.
  19. 100% agreed... I was just thinking... if either Tampa didn't blow it vs Oakland we would have faced a Minnesota or Bucs team in the divisional round followed by Arizona... I would have liked our chances... Even the Eagles matchup though - we should have won.
  20. I remember wanting Plax so badly when he was a free agent AND despite some of your guys hate for him now because of his 2008 trouble filled year, lets not forget that he carried the team on his back in 2007. Boldin IMO is even better than Plax and younger than Plax and can bring the Giants offense to a scary level. I don't know why historically the Giants have not locked up big time wr's but this one would be huge. Trade a first and a third or a first and a second if necessary to get this deal done. Wr and LB are our only weak areas on the team and with Boldin, Hixon, Steve Smith - I think we would only have to focus on linebacker really in the draft.
  21. Cowboys are really trying to buy a ring these days... Anyways let them throw 10 mil a year at a guy whos approaching his mid 30s. Im more than happy to have that deal go through.
  22. Considering the Redskins offered two first rounders for Chad Johnson - I don't see Boldin going anywhere for less than a first and second...
  23. Lewis and Owens in the same locker room... the perfect ingredients for a fist fight... YES PLEASE
