  1. The Giants shut down the run fairly well. Granted he looks like a beast, but he couldn't beat us by himself. If we handle our business we SHOULD beat both the lions and the vikings
  2. right? Moss looked fast as hell. Should throw him in on kickoffs and see how he does.
  3. I see us losing to NE, either Philly or Washington and maybe one other game (Bears or Bills away). 10-6 or 11-5 is my prediction
  4. The Cowboys are better right now. However, and I know I'm going to take alot of heat for this.... I am NOT sold on Green Bay. I feel like it is only a matter of time before they start sliding. No run game, they lack playmakers, they are simply overachieving like the Jets did last year. I think they are a GOOD team, but not the team everyone is making them out to be. If we got to play them again, I'm sure the result would be different. My top NFC teams 1. Cowboys - Have a realistic chance of going 14-2, 15-1 2. Giants - I have them losing to Philly, and NE for a 11-5 record 3. Green Bay - Gotta give it to Brett and the Pack D. Lack of a run game won't hold up in the playoffs though. - 11 - 5 4. Saints - An up and down team, but a team I would hate to see in the playoffs as quick rb's make me scared when they play the Giants (example - Westbrook, Bush, etc...) - 10-7 5. Seattle - always play us tough in their place... they don't look like the same team this year though and injuries have hurt them - 9-7 6. Redskins - I'm still convinced the Redskins are a solid football team. They've lost 2 games in the last few minutes, or else they're sitting at 7-2 right now. Very good defense. - 9-7 7. Detroit - Not going to keep their streak up. Gotta give it to Roy Williams though, he's an incredible receiver. With the NYG, Green Bay twice, Cowboys, Chargers and Vikings on their schedule, I see a cold ending for them - 8-8 with a chance at 9-7
  5. I look forward to this game. I think the Giants will come out hungry. Hopefully we have Steve Smith back at that point. It is essential that we cover Roy Williams. I think come Sunday there won't be much doubt as to who the better 6-3 team is. - Also, on a sidenote.... I know all of us Giants fans have grown very impatient with Moss, but that one pass he caught on 3rd and goal from the 20 it was a little dump off and if he didn't get tripped up by that one defender, he had a decent chance of scoring. The guy (although not a good wr by any means yet) should be returning kicks!! (Instead of a 240 pound rb). Anyways heres to next Sunday and some POSITIVE comments... Giants 36 Lions 20
  6. I disagree with a few of your points... 1. The blitz WAS if fact working, specifically in the first quarter. I felt like we completely abandoned it in the second half. 2. Jacobs ran well. He missed a few holes in the first half, but I feel like he played a solid game. 3. The play calling however I agree with you on. Even the few plays that worked out (2 draws to jacobs on 3rd down) - Even I was able to predict they were running that play beforehand. It is so easy to see with them. God forbid we had confidence to throw the ball on a 3rd and 4-5. Also, not a fan of runs on 2nd and 10 (not going to lie). And where was the play action all day? 6. Despite what you may think, Madison did not have a terrible game. He basically shut TO down in the first half and one of the safeties missed his help assignment deep on TO's post pattern. He should have only given up one TD to Owens.
  7. if Butler doesn't mess up on his deep help on Owens and we didn't get a TD and a return to the 2 yard line called back its a different story... but I guess everyones entitled to their opinions.... I'll give you guys what you want... "The Giants will go 6-10" and Eli won't throw another TD all season - happy?
  8. I hope we're not looking at another Moss in Smith (The guy has been out since the Green Bay game)
  9. I mean the Eagles worked them with their mediocre receivers - Plax could def have a huge day
  10. Actually all we need is better O-Line play, less penalties and get a little safety help on Owens... we can pretty much shut down the run on most teams we play. This game, like I said, should have been a 4 point Dallas win at best. How do you figure we can't hang with them? (Especially after watching the first half of today's game?)
  11. I don't see the Giants having problems with Detroit
  12. It's not my fault im in law school and can't get on here every 2 minutes. Yet theres no denying my points and the state of most of the "fans" minds on this board.
  13. Anyone who says he blew the game is a moron. If anything the refs blew the game but if we have to point to players it would prob. be Boss, Snee and whoever covered the flat (Butler maybe) on the 2nd deep ball to Owens. There was no safety help because the guy slid to the sidelines instead of covering Owens deep like he clearly was supposed to
  14. the thread creator is a moron. Look around the NFC. We're going to be 10-6 at worst. Dallas could possibly go 15-1. So go cry in a hole because we lost to a very good team u moron
  15. It's sad that there are so many posters on this site that claim the nonsense that goes on with giants.com's forums. You guys are equally as much fair-weather fans. We lost to a team that is 8-1 and has a realistic chance of winning 13, 14 or even 15 games. Eli didn't manage the game well and took a lot of bad penalties that hurt us, but he is nowhere near the reason we lost (He played fairly well). Shockey had a huge game and Jacobs played well. IMO the refs had several awful calls including the holding calls on the kickoff return and Jacobs touchdown and the noncall on Romo passing the line of scrimmage on his first touchdown pass. We hurt ourselves with stupid penalties. This game should have been a 4 point win by Dallas AT BEST. We can roll with them. We can beat them in the playoffs. I'm not convinced that we can't finish 11 and 5 or something along those lines. The season is NOT over!
  16. Yes - The Giants did not play well. Yes - There were many drops and missed tackles. Yes - It wasn't pretty. No - We are not in trouble. We played in freakin London on a swamp of a field. We are 6 and 2 and on a 6 game win streak. Our defense is playing great. We have a much better team than the one that played Dallas in the opener. We only need to go 4-4 in the second half to grab a playoff spot (maybe even 3-5 would do it). We WON'T have another slide in the second half. We are healthy! We are getting Steve Smith back. Jacobs, Ward and Plax all have time to heal in the bye weak. Stop your complaining. As far as I'm concerned no team stands in our way of a superbowl appearance other than Dallas. I can't take the pessimistic fans.
  17. Having 0 superbowl wins, a quarterback who throws up under pressure and the equivalence of Division 3 wide receivers on your team is whats really lame...
  18. sure ball control is essential but with Coughlin's strategy of special teams play I doubt the Giants break a KR past midfield this season.
  19. I move from GMB and still can't get away from the clown formally known as badegg
  20. Don't like the move at all... If we need roster space theres plenty of less promising people that cut have been cut.
  21. Moss is absolutely useless. I'm growing tired of the Moss experiment. Steve Smith has proven throughout the preseason that he can be a legit 3rd wr. I feel like he will add another dimension to the offense especially on 3rd downs with Plax drawing all the defensive attention.
  22. i bet you like plax... def looks like he burns alot in the offseason (along with half the league).
  23. Those 90's days are long gone... were currently in the have yet to play to our potential (on paper) level. If we get good quarterback play and the jacobs/ward combo works out, and the d holds we can do damage
