  1. Eli has started the first 6-8 games of seasons very well. We need him to step up in the second half of the seasons this year.
  2. Steve Smith hugging the sidelines for the 1st down at 3rd and 11 with about a minute to go is the most underrated play I have ever seen. Tyree got a ton of attention but if Smith doesn't make that play, or goes out of bounds after about 7 yards instead of hugging those sidelines I think we lose the game. 4th and 3-4 with the game on the line would have been tough. This play was huge!
  3. As Manningham, Toomer, Smith, Plax and Hixon (based on camp so far) seem to be locks to make 5 out of the 6 spots, who makes the 6th (London, Hall, Moss, Tyree, Jennings)? I know Moss made a play or two the other night but this kid is useless in my opinion and won't bring anything once the season begins. Its hard for me to say cut the superbowl hero but Tyree is injured and DJ Hall is unproven and I believe Jennings can make some plays. I know he is a longshot but who would you want our 6th to be? Who do you THINK the 6th will be as well.?
  4. For some reason I don't buy into this injury being a way for him to get a contract. I think the guy has had his fair share of injuries in his career and perhaps there is something wrong with his ankle still. When she would we worry? When he misses the 2nd, 3rd, 4th preaseason game? From reading his book, he (and the Giants organization) are very hush hush about his injuries and I'm thinking something might be wrong. Anyone agree?
  5. my song pick of the day (prior to kickoff) to get the 2008 season flowing and get you guys bouncing off the walls. We right here by DMX. LETS GOOOOOOOOOO G MENNNNNNNN IM SO PUMPED!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. The grand slam Marte gave up the other night in the 9th ended my hopes on this season - 6 1/2 back from 1st 3 behind boston. Trouble
  7. I have boxed for the last year with a trainer and have officially become addicted to tghe sport. Let me tell you though. Margarito wants NOTHING to do with Mayweather. He knows he will get rocked but is trying to get the fight for the big payday. Margarito can take a hit and he throws more punches in a match than anyone but he is slow and doesn't throw hard. He is not quick enough to keep Mayweather backing up all day like he did with Cotto. Even though Cotto lost the fight he showed in the early rounds he is way quicker than Margarito (he just got tired from taking too many punches even though they were soft). Floyd's defense is amazing and he won't get backed up all day like Cotto did. Margarito doesn't have the power to knock Floyd out.
  8. Ok, we all know us fans suffered through prob. the hardest game we have ever had to deal with in the Giants blowing a huge lead in the playoffs to the 49ers a few years ago. With that said (and I didn't want to bring it up cuz i didn't sleep for 2 days after that) how many of you thought "that was our year"? I am just curious because that loss cast a shadow on us but before that game the Giants were practically unstopable. I thought we were serious superbowl contenders. Ron Dixon came out of nowhere and was averaging like 20 yards per catch in those final few games and had several big catches for us. Does anyone else besides me remember feeling like that season got away and we had a real shot at the dance? Just curious...
  9. thanks for the help. By the way I am attending Widener Law in Harrisburg PA. Wanted to stay in NY but didn't quite have the LSAT scores to do so. Hopefully transfering after a year
  10. its in harrisburg (straight up country) - I don't know where I would even go to find a sports bar.
  11. Here's the deal. I will be attending law school starting August 12th (unfortunately in PA). I am a diehard G-Men fan and cannot stand the idea of missing a game (let alone the entire season). Is there any way I can watch the Giants games live from my computer somehow? I was thinking about getting a comcast (or some type of tv package), but if I can get something of good quality on my computer I won't mind (and I won't have to pay for all those other NFL games I won't watch that aren't Giants related). Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
  12. If anyone has it can you post one of 2 brutal hits Omar Stoutmire had on T.O. in the opening game a few years ago Giants vs. San Fran (i think). He had one of the best hits I have ever seen on Owens. Props if anyone can find it.
  13. u mean 8 game win streak : )
  14. Without a doubt i would have to say Jesse Armstead. And outside of football Patrick Ewing.
  15. Admiral awesome... just out of curiosity why did you send me a name and password. I thought I was in a league already? Just clarify that for me if you can thanks. P.S. - awesome to finally see someone besides me appreciates the wire.
  16. I have been at some bad one's as well - The playoff meltdown to the Vikings where we lost the game when we failed to recover their onsides kick, the bears game last year, the sehorn's pants falling down game vs the lions, giants philly playoff game in philly last year, redskins game this year, the game against dallas where simms threw the halftime pass to LT, the ravens superbowl win, etc... . I did happen to be at the vikings giants 41-0 NFC champ. game though. That was the best game I have ever been to. The stadium was rocking. 14-0 before the Viks even started their first posession.
