  2. The man Jackyboy once claimed "Was the next Jerry Rice" looks like he's done. Glad he played how he did for the Giant's shame that he fights back from two ALC tears just to be ended by another one.
  3. Losing Ware in FA and now Lee to injury. That defense is just devastated now. Especially with Claiborn playing like he doesn't deserve a cent of the Cowboys money.
  4. To be fair you're the one who kicked it all off. Regardless though, this isnt the site for personal attacks, well this isnt the section anyways. Most of that is left to P&R and general. I hope everything turns out good for you and you recover well, with how passionate you are on these forums I'm sure you'll have no problem kicking cancers ass as well. We need you over in the P&R section keeping all those pesky libs straight.
  5. Settle down dude, it's the internet. Next time someone says something to you on the internet and you feel the need to defend yourself on an internet forum, take a good long look in a mirror and reevaluate your life. You're taken it just a bit to seriously.
  6. This isnt the P&R section. No need to fly off the handle.
  7. This is the internet Pdoub, the appropriate response would be to call him a "faggot" and explain the numerous times you have had intercourse with his mother and or wife.
  8. Let the two fight it out for the starting job and keep the other on speed dial in case the other gets hurt during the season. I do miss the Hynoceros swing pass though.
  9. I don't see this of as big as a deal as I think the writer makes it out to be. Johnny Football is going to be bringing much more press and turmoil to the Browns when they start losing and the media and fans are calling from him to start and then his head when he fails to deliver. Bob the Generation of Three had a media circuit going on in the Redskins camp when he was drafted but no one even lifted a finger to say what type of affect it will have on the team. But a third day back up DE, "OH FUCK LORDY LORDY WATCH OUT HE'S GONNA RUIN THE TEAM" I do agree with you though, if you have any opinion that goes against what is considered PC for the year you basically ruin your career.
  10. He's played well on special teams. He had what two blocked punts last year? He has speed that's for sure and if he can prove he should be a starter I can see the Giant's swinging JPP over to LE, especially if JPP is still doing his best disappearing act on the field.
  11. I really dont see what he said is wrong. It's like you can't have an opinion anymore if you arent with the main stream opinion.
  12. Now it's no secret that Eli isn't the most gifted QB when it comes to putting the ball where it needs to be on a WR, he does make the plays when it counts and in some games he's deadly accurate but most of the time he's the Eli we all know and love. After drafting Odell (actually any player drafted for that matter) I began to read up on his college career and what experts who are more knowledgeable in evaluating talent then I'll ever be say on the kid. I know the pick has gotten some criticism saying that Odell isn't the tallest WR and that the Giant's have a similar WR in Cruz, however I find the opposite of which to be true. Cruz is a WR who needs another WR to make him special, he needs to be able to slip behind the defense to pick up yards and Cruz does this by abusing nickle corners and LBs who have the unfortunate task with trying to shade him. Odell is a WR who can make plays by himself and is a threat in short passes and stretching the field, not to mention many of these experts feel he is arguably the best route runner in the draft, something a west coast system needs. Odell I feel has the talent to play any position on the field X, Y or the slot WR and MacAndfries is going to have fun using him like he did with Cobb or Jones in Green Bay. The main idea for this thread though is that Eli isnt the most accurate WR throughout the game but can hit the throws that matter and after watching this video and seeing how many passes that Odell has to adjust for, either being overthrown or in a bad spot, it's easy to see why the Giant's had him ranked so highly on their board. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtZ4j3jx7pg Catches at 0:24,2:07,3:26, 6:20 and others in that video show how like Nicks he uses his body and adjusts to poorly thrown or placed passes. Once he makes the catch he turns that play into a big play with his ability of being able to shake defenders and use his speed and size to his advantage. Look at some of the return plays and some of those runs after the catch and tell me this isnt something the Giant's have been lacking in the last 10 years.
  13. Everything I read said he can play all three WR positions on the field.
  14. I don't have a problem with them not taking a TE, outside of Ebron and some of the second round guys none of them are really standouts or starters, atleast from a draft perspective. I would like to see some FA TEs come in, I know we got Kellen? That journyman TE who I can see starting the year. I have no faith in Robinson, I hated the pick when we drafted him and I don't think he will become anything more then a serviceable backup but for a fourth round pick that's what you would want anyways. I'd like to see a push for Finley is he's healthy, reuniting him and MacADoodle will be nice to have. At the same time I don't think TE is a pressing need as some are making it out to be. We have a plethora of Oline players who can come in and block in heavy packages, plus with drafting Odell the Giant's are embracing the west coast offence with having a roster of WRs who can stick to short passing routes. Besides with the Giant's luck of getting guys like Boss, Ballad and Pascoe, maybe they get some FA walk on to be an unexpected surprise.
  15. He can be coached. Besides I like when the secondary has a mean streak, makes the WRs less comfortable knowing someone is trying to take their head off.
  16. I actually think they will use him more as a edge rusher than anything else outside of special teams.
  17. He set himself up for the failure last year there's no denying that. But hes drafted solid prior to that, in 2007 every single player helped in the SB win, from Bradshaw, to Boss to Ross. All of them helped with the win and without them the Giant's dont have the miracle '07 run. He's drafted guys like Nicks and JPP, DeOssi has been a rock on special teams, Prince is the clear number 1 CB on the team and will be for years (unless he decided to go all diva). Kenny Phillips and Chad Jones would of held down the secondary if both of them didnt come to career ending injuries. He's missed on most of not all of his mid to late round LBs but I think that has more to do with the fact that fuck the Giant's just cant seem to coach or get any LBs to work. Guys like Brewer and McCants at the time were solid picks, I remember Kiper going ape shit that the Giant's got Brewer when he did since he could of been the next all time great tackle, but when you pick late round you're taking a gamble regardless. I'm not giving JR a pass because he's set himself up for failure with ignoring depth at the O-line, however I don't think him or the coaches expected Snee to turn into a cripple and Beatty to do his best turnstyle impersonation. No GM can predict what will happen to a team, and people act like every other team out there gets value out of every single selection they make. I remember for a time when the NE couldnt draft a single starter in the first three rounds of the draft and the common joke was they should just trade back until round four.
  18. Once again, show me a single team that has had every single draft pick contribute every year since they have been drafted. It happened in 2007 when JR hit lightning in a bottle with the draft that helped us win the SB but honestly I think that's the only time I've ever fully seen a draft contribute. Some teams release their first round pick acouple season after they are drafted.
  19. Because all fourth round pick on every other team turns out to be a perennial pro. Infact I think the Giant's are the only team in the history of the draft not to have every single draft pick not make the HoF by the end of their career.
  20. The funny thing is, he's not even the worst of it over there.
  21. He posted it here in one of his many "farewell" threads. I belive it's BParcells## whatever the last two numbers are I forget but he pops up in threads over there from time to time and you can tell it's Jackyboy. Saying we should of drafted Johnny Football since Eli isnt a westcoast QB and Coughlin wont allow westcoast plays to be called. How Andre Brown is the best back since Jim Brown and how we let our entire offense walk when we let him go. The usual Jack stuff.
  22. Good lord has any one else been to that other Giants board. You know that other one...... Talk about the kids having the weekend off and posting any little thought that comes into their head. Plus Jackyboy is still over there saying the same silly shit he always goes on about.
  23. He has a 2nd-3rd round grade on him, if you go by those. And there is a run on RBs in the fourth. Who else should the Giant's have taken?
  24. This pick pretty much sends Cox out the door. Wonder if they think Wilsons injury is worse then it is and it will take him into the season for recovery.
