It's such an odd move outside of maybe the Cowboys getting ready to cut Dak next year when they are in cap hell and he costs north of 30 million?

A 4th round pick is peanuts for a 23 year old that cost the 9'ers all those picks and has/had such potential. Maybe the 9'ers coaching staff just couldn't get it done with him? At worst he's a viable #2 in a different system, at best someone in Dallas turns his career around. Plus he's got 2 years to go until his 5th year option and a possible 2 tags after that. If Dallas plays this right it's a great move for them.

I mean maybe but you got to figure if they thought Lance would have any chance of becoming something they'd keep him around.

It's not like Darnold is a much better option.

One of the last GM/Owners and there's a reason why.

Imagine being McCarthy sitting in his office and getting a notification saying the team you HC for just traded for a QB lol

Then again McCarthy has been on the hot seat so he's likely gone.
