Ballentine in concussion protocol.

Recommended Posts

On twitter/NFL.com etc.

Oh well let the rook sit, Beal should be coming off IR next week.

What's with these concussions though? I thought this "no more lowering the head" on tackles rule was supposed to help this, I think the NFL is heading for record number of concussions in a season.

Or the NFL has told teams to just crack down on this and sit players showing any signs regardless.

It's definitely weird. I don't remember ever seeing so many players with concussions.

I do think that part of it is that the league is checking for the concussions and is aggressivly holding guys out... much more than a team would be.

Yeah could be that the NFL is saying if a guy shows concussions signs and nothing is done about expect some big fines.

From the article on NFL.com they said that Ballentine was telling team doctors he was having headaches, so they put him in concussion protocol.

In good news Sam Beal should be playing this weekend, is designated to return.

I'm pretty sure he's only allowed to practice, can't return till week 8.
