gateb
Dolphins | Team has best offer to Arrington on the table Mon, 10 Apr 2006 18:05:58 -0700 ESPN.com's John Clayton reports the Miami Dolphins have presented the best offer for free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins), but it's not close to the $54 million he's asking for and that's why his visit with the Green Bay Packers could be interesting. Giants | Team does not have an offer to Arrington on the table Mon, 10 Apr 2006 18:03:59 -0700 ESPN.com's John Clayton reports the New York Giants do not have an offer to free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins) on the table. The Giants never came close to his asking price, at least seven years, $54 million. The Miami Dolphins have the best offer for Arrington, but it's not close to $54 million and that's why the visit with the Green Bay Packers could be interesting. Packers | Team visits with Arrington Mon, 10 Apr 2006 18:03:36 -0700 ESPN.com's John Clayton reports the Green Bay Packers visited with free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins) Monday, April 10. Signing Arrington or free agent CB Charles Woodson (Raiders) may be what QB Brett Favre is looking for before he commits to playing the 2006 season. Arrington left without an offer while the Packers decide what to do. Arrington was excited enough about the visit that he wanted to talk to Favre. If he signs with GB, he gets what he deserves. Not finiancially wise though. He'll get close to what he wants, but also will be on a team that will be out of contention for the next two years or so. I wonder if Lavar knows that... mstrahan22_1/2
i think that's way out of our price range. does anyone else think he will be the best linebacker in the league for the next 7 years? because that's what he's asking to be paid like. gateb
Well, there will be someone else that comes into the market that unreasonably will be asking for more money than Lavar and Peterson. I'm hating the Seahawks so much right now for the deal they gave Julian.

gateb
Well, if healthy and living up to potential, Lavar could be one of the best in the league. He could put our defense at the next level. Talent wise, we could give even the best offense fits.
BIGBLUE01
You know, the fact that he can come here and stick it to the Skins alongside another former Skin Pierce, should be the deal breaker right there. If healthy, he is one of the best. Does he want a ring, or more money?

Guest Floyd The Barber
how quickly the tunes change after the FAB 4 brought you the "skinny" on this entire circus ordeal weeks, possibly months ago, that Lavar would not sign here in NY, still the ignorant refused to accept this and thought of every avenue to prove that he would... do yourself a favor from here on in and save yourself alot of drama...listen to the FAB

gmenroc
I dont want this guy for anywear near 54 mil Not really keen on 7 years either; I was thinking 4 or 5 year deal (as long as it didn't end in the same offseason as Pierce's deal) at about 2-3 mil per year, throw in a 6 mil signing bonus and some play-based incentives (total of 14 to 21 mil + incentives over 4-5 yeas). I was glad to see we at least tested the waters with Arrington. It appears that money is a bigger motivator for Arrington than actually winning. Didnt you say he was going to Miami? Now you have changed your mind and its GB? Im changing my mind too.... I dont want him, he is a cancer, and he will only get hurt and spend the year on IR.... "Lemmingslad"...we have all come to expect more from you...Sad, so very very sad Normally, it is only a matter of days after the fist game is announced that the rest of the schedule is produced. Miami seems to be stepping up to end the Arrington fiasco: LavarToMiami Arrington will love opening the NFL season - unless he is already on the IR by then. Looks like the bumbling bench jockey is headed to Miami. The Giants don't seem to have the least bit of interest where Lavar ends up.

To be honest I would like him on our team But not if we have to sacrifice the signing of a DT and for that kinda money he would be our last FA signing of the year. Good to see you finally got work. if you happen to be referring to the 2 gentlemen "collecting" there pay, then yes, thank you...ironically, Lockhart and I, happen to hold similar positions in real life...many people are in debt to us, monitarily and other purposes, and when we collect, we collect convincingly... how did you break it to your wife, when you came out of the closet ?? perhaps you can write into the series screenwriters and give them your real life depiction...then again, if your wife looks anything like Vito's, which is a safe bet, id think about an "alternate" lifestyle as well... HOUND
Well, if healthy and living up to potential, Lavar could be one of the best in the league. He could put our defense at the next level. Talent wise, we could give even the best offense fits. People have been saying that exact thing about Arrington since he came into the league. Wasted potential, career underachiever ... I think those terms more aptly describe the guy.
