How many times can you restructure contracts before either you come up to a REAL cap hell with a ton of bad contracts, or the players get sick of restructuring each offseason and say "No we are not restructuring again." How many times can you restructure contracts before either you come up to a REAL cap hell with a ton of bad contracts, or the players get sick of restructuring each offseason and say "No we are not restructuring again." I don't really understand it too well, but from what i gather, they convert salary into signing bonuses, letting them spread it over the remainder of the contract. Of course, if that player goes down with a career-ending injury, then they're screwed, because that bonus money all comes back at once. Plus, because they spend all their money on starters, their backups leave a lot to be desired, especially since they tend to trade away their draft picks. Yeah, the Skins are old and going to get a lot older.. they won't be able to keep the young players, with these ridiculous extensions they have been giving to the older vets.
