BIGBLUE01
Umm we don't have the day off like down in the States but we do celebrate it. Oh cool. Yeah, I work from home mostly, but my office is closed tomorrow. So the whole day has been proclaimed a "bask in the glory of my Giants" day. No work tommorrow AT ALL. TaylorBanksCarsonVanPelt
Well good morning folks....great setup to work from home BigBlue. Even if I did not have an official holiday today I would still be off. My kids are off; am Black; plus I am the boss at my facility (Social Work Therapist for formerly homeless families) and my overall supervisor is a friend who gives out "mental health days like candy". LOL. Too bad he is a JJJ-EEE-TTT-SSS fan....poor guy.
Treehugger
Umm we don't have the day off like down in the States but we do celebrate it. We do? First I've heard of it. Why would we celebrate a foreign holiday?
BIGBLUE01
We do? First I've heard of it. Why would we celebrate a foreign holiday? He's from Canada Tree, you're from Australia. Its not a FOREIGN Holiday, its more of an equal rights holiday. You do have Blacks Down Under, right?

I don't think Aboriginal Australians were even listed a human beings until sometime in the 60's.

It think in Canada people know about MLK day but it isn't considered an observed day.
