I said they were hitting him hard...JUST RIGHT AT PEOPLE. He didnt give up many hits because the balls they were tagging were being caught. Rasner faced two batter and was gave up 2 hard hit balls, to assume that had he not gotten hurt the game would have gone differently is grasping at straws. If the Mets did not tatoo that pen, then maybe Shoenwiess is not in there to make a blowout close and the pitchers that nailed it down are in there to keep a tight game close. Utterly ridiculous to say they "should have swept the Mets". I can make a case the Mets should have swept the Yankees based on the fact that Jose Reys with the bases loaded, after 2 walks and a base hit failed to come through. Had they done that vs a rookie pitcher maybe he gets blown out at that point. Cn't say that though, because it did not happen.
