  1. Not sure...guessing it's 20% on whatever he gets this year to avoid the net of 0 if RB market crashes 20%
  2. Here's hoping new ownership is worse than the last!
  3. Yeah...I agree...though I'd offer the generational talent caveat. You think you got Barry Sanders available, you take that guy. And I think that was the mindset around Barkley. He is a classy guy who works hard and had all the talent in the world coming out. Don't regret he pick at all despite whatever underperformance folks point to. But too, the game has changed a good bit. RBs are devalued. Running in general outside of the QB position is much less of a focus. The run and pass have switched in importance. So yeah...don't need the bell cow anymore taking 25-30 touches a game.
  4. Not opposed to taking a RB...but Barkley isn't exactly washed up either. Don't think there is a RB of the future anymore. By time future gets here, teams move on to younger and cheaper
  5. First year tag is average of top 5...which is where the 10m comes from. 2nd year tag...think you are right at 20% added...so average top 5 and add 20%...tagging next year could save Giants money cause average of top 5 might actually decease...so might not even be 12m. Would be a dick move though to your team captain to tag 2x. But yeah, I am in the 3 year, 36 mil camp...fully guaranteed with a max 5% annual clawback if he misses more than 4 games. Or we tag him again...as much as that would be unpopular with the team.
  6. Giants offered 12m per. He wanted more. Did not sign. Giants tagged him for 10m. In meantime, the RB market value continued to crash and now 12m seems a bit too high compared to rest of RBs in league so Giants took 12m off the table until Barkley lowers his asking price
  7. He wants 16m...Giants said no. Saquon panties in a twist...but he did work out when DJ hosted his deal
  8. I think that only hedges against needing to draft a certain position in a certain round...but I still think it would be a big mistake not to get at least 1 IOL in the first 3 rds.
  9. I like DJ Turner...and Skinner at Safety...but there are guys like Corey Trice later at CB that I find intriguing. I like Stromberg at C too if we wait til 3rd to get IOL
  10. Don't see Hyatt dropping out of the first...figure KC would snag him if he is there at 31. Johnston would be my pick too if WR is the 1st rounder...but I really would love to trade down to top of first and grab our C or G. Having Barkley and a running QB, I think having athletic and deep offensive linemen is worth the draft capital.
  11. Just puts more pressure on LJ to sign/play.
  12. So Dex is looking at 25 mil per...at least...with probably 75% guaranteed So hit him up with 5 year, 125 mil...with 100 mil guaranteed
  13. Richie James and Kadarius Toney...both good fits for that offense. Guessing James is gonna be 4th WR and KR/PR
  14. Agreed on Hardman. If he just became the intermediate, find a hole-sit down, make a 1st down grab kinda guy...I think he could do better than being a true number 1.
  15. I'm feeling a trade down in 1st and still get IOL..could feel differently tomorrow...but we seem to be missing out on a some of the WRs picking at 25 and they're good, but not worth trading up for. Some of the mid round CBs may fall to 25 and be intriguing...guys like a Joey Porter...but I have seen him as a top 10 projection too, so I dunno. I think late 1st is prime for top flight IOL talent. Like I said...just a feel at this point
  16. Even before Feliciano...it would've been a mistake to not get IOL in first or second round in my opinion. IOL, CB, WR in 1st 3 rds.
  17. I mean...at some point you have to rely on guys to step into that starting role. Flott was improving before he got hurt. Robinson is okay as a 3rd CB or in a rotation. Jackson is fine as a starter. I think we are okay-ish. Maybe with some better LB play, we can hide some of the secondary deficiencies. And it isn't like the offseason is over. Still time to address it with a June 1st cut maybe. I think losing Love is gonna hurt us at some points throughout the season. Again, he was solid and a role player. Not setting wirld on fire...but a reliable starter.
  18. Didn't look that close...just thought there would at least be interest in the CB market...thats all
  19. Might just be a matter of not seeing players worth signing...
  20. All it did was convert this years salary, which was guaranteed, to signing bonus, which is guaranteed. Not committing more guaranteed from the looks of it. Just spreading out THIS years cap hit. Cutting him next year will only cost the total amount of the converted amount less the amount prorated to this year. Its a no-brainer given no other guaranteed money. It does kick the can a bit...because if Waller is on team next year...his cap hit goes up by the prorated portion of THIS year that got pushed to NEXT...but still negligible
  21. Yeah...rds 1-3 are still some combo of WR, secondary player, IOL for me. Haven't looked too much at draft this year yet...too focused on my office's reorg...but gotta dig into it here in the next week...
  22. More quality depth...fringe starter. I still think a top WR in draft is a need as well as IOL. Little surprised we didn't push a little more for Slay or Bradberry or another CB...but we can't get it all.
  23. Ginna be interesting which of the WRs will stick come opening day.
  24. Nice having Ward back. I like having a fiery, vocal guy...particularly on defense.
