  1. First game I ever went to was Giants-Eagles in old Vet's Stadium...Giants won...got called every name in the book on the way out of that stadium...was December 27th, 1998 I believe. Was 18 years old, froze my ass off, but remember it like it was yesterday.

The best game I ever went to was the Giants-Carolina game just a year or two ago when the Giants opened the new stadium. It was the first regular season game in the new stadium. As our seats were all of 25 rows from the field in the lower section behind the end zone, the best seats I've ever had by far, and the fact that it was a new stadium, and the fact that we were tailgating all day as opposed to just coming in for the game...it was the best by a long shot.

The only other two games I've been to were a Giants-Dallas game and the Giants-Cardinals game when Kurt Warner came back to play against us after playing for us. I've never witnessed, in person, a Giants loss.

  2. Maybe Herron is a player but they have to get a more dangerous running game. But that is a great draft. Getting Iloka late, he could be a starting FS for them, and Sanu is going to be a good complimentary player for Green. They say Still is inconsistent, but I saw an overpowering player on his game vids and he's going to be an impact player for them soon. I like him adding to their front seven in that tough AFC North division. And you have to like Zeitler, very safe pick, going to contribute right away, step in and add some pop to their running game and help Dalton, too. Good guy to get with Ngata in the division.

Hell, I like the Charles and Prater picks too...Prater more for depth purposes, but Charles could be an impact player this year too.

I don't know much about Marvin Jones or Brandon Thompson, but if the rest all contribute as I think they have the potential to do, this will be a very, very good draft to them and could potentially put them in competition with the Ravens and Steelers. That said, the Steelers draft wasn't anything to scoff at either.

  3. I did not look at the actual poll, but if the Bengals aren't on there, I wouldn't give it much credence. Cincinatti kicked the living shit out of this draft. Sure, any of them could potentially be busts, but given pre-draft rankings and the general consensus on how these guys will translate into the NFL...they've got 6-7 starters in one draft to add onto what they're developing with Dalton/Green on offense.

    Dre Kirkpatrick, CB

    Kevin Zeitler, OG

    Devon Still, DT

    Mohamed Sanu, WR

    Brandon Thompson - DT

    Orsen Charles, TE

    Shaun Prater, CB

    Marvin Jones, WR

    George Iloka, S

    Dan Harron, RB

  4. If we want to bring in an FA OT at vet minimum after the draft, I'd be game for that.

While Beatty certainly wasn't a liability, his coming off an eye injury and the lack of a body of work...are concerning. Sure, the Giants have more information on it that any of us and I'll root for the team regardless, but my conservatism and desire to have a backup for every backup...makes me a little uneasy at the OT position. Again, I'm not asking them to go out and sign the biggest name and I'm certainly not leading any sort of charge, but I'd be lying if I said that I wouldn't feel reassured if they did pick up an additional guy at a low risk contract, especially now that they didn't draft an OT in the earlier rounds.

  5. If we trade Osi to move up to get Fleener I feel We have talk to the Rams not the Browns. Because Fleener will be gone @34

No doubt that Fleener is drawing interest in Indy...but they have so many holes that it'd be tough to pin them to a TE, even if said TE does have a connection to their franchise QB.

  6. I'm still working scenarios in my brain on how we can end up with either Rueben Randle or Coby Fleener. It's improbable, but I would be ecstatic if we got one of those two guys.

I know Osi and some others are big on Stephen Hill that's still around. But Hill isn't a fit for us, I don't think.

Getting high enough in the 2nd to get Randle, Hill or Fleener at this point seems unlikely....unless there's truth to the Osi/McCoy/pick trade

  7. Still like Egnew (TE) later on.

Still like CB here in the mid rounds, be it anyone from Donnie Fletcher up to Josh Robinson. My only requirements are a sub-4.5 40 time, at least 190, and 6'0 tall.

Still looking of an OT and WR too.

So, in the 2nd, if Glenn, Martin, Adams, or Massie are there at 63...that'd be my pick.

In the 3rd, Brandon Hardin (FS) is interesting, Greg Childs (WR),

In the 4th, I'm intrigued now a bit by this Greenwood (CB) kid. Good size and speed, but played at a D3 school. Might go with him at the compensatory 4th.

With the other 4th, I'm liking the size/speed of Jaye Howard (DT)

Anyway you slice it, there's still a lot of talent to be had in this draft.

  8. What about we trade Osi and a fourth to swap picks with the Rams and get Steven Jackson too? Or is that asking too much... they get a top-end pass rusher and an extra 2 and 4, and we get Fleener and a bruiser to pair with our three speedsters at RB?

I don't want Steven Jackson, nor Colt McCoy.

  9. Heard Shefter on Mike/Mike this morning mention the Giants as a possibility for McCoy. He stated that he was only speculating and had absolutely nothing to document it. I'm guessing this is what ignited Twitter.

I would be royally pissed off if we traded ANYTHING for McCoy. He's not the worst QB, but he'd clearly be a backup and we have one of those in David Carr.

  10. Can you carry cap space from one year to the next?

Yeah, you can this year, but I can't say for sure about next year into the year after. I think it may have had to do with the lockout last offseason or something to that effect. There was news about it when the salary cap limitations were placed on the Cowboys and Redskins...saying basically that due to the carry-over, they had two years to cover the limitations placed upon them.

  11. Same here. With all the players still on the board I though it was Martin or konz. Oo wells. Reese hasn't really mess up on a first rounder before. So let's hope for the best.

With having Baas, Snee, Petrus, Boothe, Diehl...I think the interior OLine is good enough that Konz wasn't going to be the guy. I thought for sure it'd be Jonathon Martin or Cordy Glenn, especially once Doug Martin went the pick before.

  12. The morning after, I'm still on the fence with the pick. He's got great abilty, but comes with significant reservations (fumbles, pass protection). If he can improve those two things and still run the way he has, than I'll be happy with the pick. But right now, I'm at a B or B-

  13. Bradshaw is in no shape to play right now. Wilson is going to get plenty of looks. I see Bradshaw, Wilson, and Scott as the new rotation.

Oh, there's no doubt that that should be the rotation...Ware should without a doubt be the odd man out.

Not sure what you mean by Bradshaw not being in shape to play right now.

  14. Love this pick. Two playmakers in the backfield, now. And someone to finally catch passes out of the backfield, too. I have thought he was a better prospect than Doug Martin for quite some time, so IMO, we got the 2nd best RB in the draft with the 32 pick. IMO, you can't beat that, I don't care how many top 15 rated offensive lineman were still on the board, we got one of the top 3 RBs.

I will appreciate the receptions out of the backfield...that much I am looking forward to. But I will approach this one cautiously because unless the fumbling and blocking are improved, he won't get the chance to catch out of the backfield.

  15. Just read that Wilson sucks ass at blocking...awesome.

Blocking and ball carrying both need improvement....can't say I'm overly stoked about this pick. I might've gone more towards the OLine with Glenn, Martin, and Adams all on the board

  16. If we spent our 1st on nothing more than a kick returner....or even primarily on a kick returner...I'll be pissed.

He needs to run the fucking ball and not fumble it. That's his job and has been, ever since he put the RB next to his name. I didn't see David Wilson KR/PR anywhere.
