  1. yeah thats how I feel at this point anything can happen . I mean the hell with all these big names whining about how they want outrageous amounts of money for mediocrity. why should we try to get other teams cast offs and head cases . We need to have the capacity to develop our players and build them up to fit out system and play style. All the big names had to start some where a lot of big names were no-names coming out of college. So who knows we may have some Diamonds in the ruff now and get more Diamonds in 3 weeks.
  2. yeah and he had his chance to start and he proved he couldn't get it done . How long was he at he helm in Arizona? Either way it doesn't matter now. I was just observing out loud , sorry .

  6. Possible Eli Backup? Giants Will Meet With QB Fiedler Posted Apr 5th 2007 12:22PM by Dan Benton Filed under: NY Giants, NFC East, New York, NFL Free Agency The Giants interest in Jay Fiedler has become an annual thing. Each of the last two offseasons they've had a bit of interest in him but nothing ever materialized. Maybe the third time will be a charm. According to KFFL, citing John Murphy of Yahoo Sports, the Giants will meet with the free agent quarterback in the near future. John Murphy, of Yahoo! Sports, reports unrestricted free-agent QB Jay Fiedler (Buccaneers) will work out for the New York Giants, according to his agent, Brian Levy. One thing the Giants have been lacking in recent years was an experienced veteran quarterback to tutor Eli Manning. Instead they've had guys like Jared Lorenzen and Tim Hasselbeck behind him; neither have seen the field more than Eli. Fiedler is familiar with Giants Stadium, the pressures of New York and the NFL. If they could finally lock him up, it'd be a very solid and very smart move.
  7. Giants, Timmerman Talking By Hazem Kiswani | April 4th, 2007 Print | E-mail Timmerman - media.scout.com The New York Giants have been in contact with Adam Timmerman, the ex- St. Louis Rams offensive lineman, according to sources close to Timmerman. Timmerman’s agent and the Giants have had some preliminary talks, and will continue to speak over the next few days. Timmerman, 35, is a former pro-bowler, who would help bring some short term solidification to the Giants O-line, while the Giants continue to develop young prospect Guy Whimper, and look at options in the draft. To me, this is the biggest news of this slow off-season for the Giants. If they bring in Timmerman, it opens even more possibilities for them on draft day, and gives them a pro-bowl interior lineman, although he may only have 2-3 years left in the tank. Timmerman is very good in pass protection, and can help diffuse some of that interior pressure that constantly got to Eli last year down the stretch. If they can grab Timmerman at a fair price, look for him to start next to Diehl on the left side of the line, and anchor an already very good Giants offensive line. Note: The Giants are keeping an eye on the situation with Lance Briggs and the Redskins, and from what I have heard, are in frequent contact with Briggs’ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, who has a good relationship with the Giants front office. I will update as soon as I get anything further on that situation.

  14. NO people will remember cause when anyone in the media wants a soap-opera story that no one else has they will go to a "NO-NAMED" source and start stirring the pot. the 2006 soap-opera will not go away if the media keeps it up with the Anonymous quotes. it will just turn into soap opera 2006 v2.0 for 2007.
  15. Yes it was out of context I see that now sorry, Poz would be a great addition no doubt . I was talking more about in the lines of Carlos (cement shoes) Emmons who had recognition skills but just no mo go. He could not react on his recognitions fast enough.(his body just couldnt do it anymore) Poz appears to have(some) speed, work out warrior and game recognition in him . When I read what Boohyah wrote all I could picture is that he would rather have an Emmons as opposed to a Poz. thats is reason for my reply. Maybe I read it wrong?
  16. come to think of it didnt he play for the little giants? lol
