  1. If you are going by the production of the ballerina that would certainly explain why things are quiet. I just hope that the Giants are still relevant when the Cowboys come to town in December...
  2. Dog, good to see a familiar face. What happened to this place? Did Brees drop a bomb on it, or are all the fair weather bandwagoners hiding in Arizona? That is, of course, where Bandwagon Giants fans hide. Is it not?
  3. You've got a 250 pound big mouth ballerina at RB, a second team RB who is too small to carry the load, and a defense that got tourched by the only good offense they faced, and gave up 200 yards rushing to another that was playing, at least on that night, without a QB. They need something more than a no-name WR catching the ball with his head this year. So much for Giants smash mouth football... And, by the way, the Canty signing was brilliant.
  4. Better late than never, BB. After taking 4 or 5 months off it's good to see that some things never change.
  5. I agree with Lynch. They suspended him but they should lock him up too.
  6. The pick will most likely be in the 30's? So the Giants are going to finish in the top 3? If that is the case, why go after a known malcontent and a troublemaker? Are you telling me that -- after the GENIUS Jerry Reece had all these "awesome" drafts and when you have the 100 million dollar man at QB and the most physical RB to every play the game -- you are still 1 guy short? Still 1 guy short? That is laughable. Let's not forget that Marhsall is no TO -- on or off the field. At least TO takes care of himself and does not get arrested. Marshall put his fist through a TV last year and seems to be in court every other month. I smell DESPERATION in is this thread. You have some defensive injuries so now you realize the Giants may have to score a TD or two this year. Your QB -- the 90 million dollar man -- played like crap every post season except 1. The WRs from all of your "awesome" drafts are...well...unremarkable. Hitting the PANIC button in August. I love it.
  7. When the gun goes off in a public place like a night club it pisses people off. When it comes to plea bargains and the decision on whether to go to trial, the state -- the prosecutors -- almost always have a great degree of discretion. I believe the prosecutors in the Lynch case AGREED to lower the charges. Had Buress been sitting in a car and the gun had not gone off Burress's attorneys would have had a little more to work with -- even if he did still violate the letter of the law. However, the gun goes off in a nightclub, everyone gets pissed, and the state digs in. The gun going off in a nightclub gave the mayor the platform he needed to take a hard line.
  8. The voice of reason -- Burress got what he deserved. And you can't compare it to Lynch, because with Buress, the gun went off in a public place. On the Stallworth issue, for what it's worth, I read somewhere that the family of the victim was okay with the plea bargain and didn't want to go through a trial. They wanted closure as fast as possible. How much the $ they received played into it -- we'll never know. But under most laws prosecutors have great discretion and will often consider the feelings of the victim's family. It is rare that you get this result in a DWI case, especially when there is a death involved, but the fact that the family apparently did not want to go through a criminal trial, for whatever reason, played a big role in this. Had the family said -- nail him to the wall -- there is no way any professional athlete avoids a trial and serves this kind of jail time.
  9. My first official post after my yearly hybernation and this is how I am greeted? A faggot? Do they really permit language of this sort on the new and improved boards? I'm appauled. BB, I have mellowed some this off season. This new version of Badgg is less confrontational. But we are not getting off on the right foot. By the way, when you "cemented" yourself as a Giants fan, was it before McConkey caught that ridiculous pass deflection or was it when Tuna was actually holding the trophy. I am doing research on bandwagon fans and...
  10. The one and only reason the Yankees are not going to the World Series. The entire Angels lineup is presently hitting over 300.
  11. Who said, from the beginning, that Mr. Burress would be in jail? I feel safer all ready
  12. Question: Does anyone have the first part of the play? Did Warner calmly drop back, look off the coverage, step into the pocket and, with the presence of true field general, unleash a perfect strike to his number 1 WR? Or was he frantically running around -- a chicken with his head cut off -- like another Superbowl "MVP" we all know and love... :hah:
  13. The Cards were 1 poor pass getting trapped on the helmet away from possibly winning the Superbowl. If the Cards were a fluke...
  14. If you were already such a big fan, than why was a Superbowl necessary to "solidify" or "cement" anything? And before you start crying and cursing, let's not forget that it is you that often likes to make these wild bandwagon bandwagon accusations...its you that likes to make bandwagon fans a topic of conversation... The problem you are now facing is that the only real evidence on this board of ANY member being a bandwagon fan is you "soldifying" or "cementing" yourself as a Giants fan AFTER or AS they were winning their FIRST Superbowl... Now feel free -- ask me if I have ever been to Dallas -- because you've got nothing else...
  15. At the time of the first Superbowl, it was just between the Giants and the Broncos, right? Or was there another team still in the mix?? :g:
  16. I'll take that as late in the third period...very late...not exactly a surprise to me...dipshit...
  17. Your response is nonsense. But, speaking of fair weather fans, tell me Bigblue: In what period of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals did you "cement yourself" as a Pittsburgh fan? Inquiring minds want to know? :g:
  18. It's good to see Jerseygiantfan posting the media predictions once again...We all know what this means... :violin: Except for that improbable and magical year in which a no-name player who never really accomplished anything worth noting on the professional level trapped a ill-advised "pass" against his helmet, the media's predictions regarding the Giants have not been too far off base. Truth hurts... :crybaby: The Eagles have been the dominant NFC East team and if they could just teach their players to catch some of McNabb's airballs with there helmets they too would probably have been "world champions" at some point... As far as the Cowboys go, I prefer 52-17 thumpings in big games with no circus catches. That being said, it worked so well for Eli, I hope they are focusing on trapping balls against their helmets in OTA's...
  19. I guess it's good for the Giants to be known for ending dynasties one at a time, especially when they'll never be known for creating one. At least not when there are colored TV's and helmets with face masks. So be proud of the fact that they injured one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game. Bravo! Me...I'll take 3 Superbowls in 4 years over an injury any day of the week. But that's just me... :dance4:
  20. Every now and than, in the early months of the preseason, I must momentarily step away from my message board vacation to adress an important issue. BIGBLUE: Perhaps the Dog has not revealed his team because he is waiting until the 4th quarter of a likely Superbowl victory until he CEMENTS himself as a "true" fan. Isn't that your philosophy -- no sense in CEMENTING yourself as a fan until your team actually wins something, right? Just keeping it real, Bigblue. :yahoo: Enjoy the rest of your offseason Giants fans.
  21. Speaking of execution on offense, I don't think you can blame everything on Gilbride. The Eagles had a professional QB in McNabb. Meanwhile, Eli did not have anyone who could trap his errant throws against their helmet. Or maybe ELI ws so bad against the Eagles that not even Tyree could have pulled off another improbable circus catch...
  22. They can go 0-16 this season, I still will not be out $200 + bucks on an "authentic" jersey. Did you know you can get your own name on the back of these jerseys? Next time, buy # 17 with the name "Dumbass" printed on the back. The jersey will hold it's value better. :dance4:
  23. I hate to break it to you, but the jersey was worthless before this bum got arrested. And, unless he had his gun to your head when you bought it, you have nobody to blame but yourself... Jerry Rice indeed. And who said he was going to jail from the beginning? Who? Thats, right. Badegg. :bye: Bye, bye Burress...
  24. Why was your license suspended, Bigblue?
