  1. If madison stays healthy for the year, his experience should reflect positively on guys like Webster and Deloatch who now have somebody to learn from. This is a major pickup. I liken it to when we got Everson Walls from the Cowboys, that was one of the final pieces we needed to win the bowl that year. Will Allen gets to be a high priced Cardinal next year probably. Now, please get Clancy done. Anybody think Lawyer Milloy would be a good pickup?
  2. Didn't members of the fab 4 claim they left the GMB because of stupid threads like this.
  3. There was nothing wrong with Joseph last year when he played. His position is not a concern as long as he's healthy. Clancy's is. I love how guys beat up on a guy who played his best year last year, but give a pass to guys like Robbins who turned up into camp in bad shape and lost his spot. But then again, William Joseph is out of Miami. And we know who doesn't like Miami guys, don't we?
  4. Legree could warrant a look at camp in a backup role. I'd have no objections.
  5. He is a malcontent though, and do you think the Eagles want another one of those with what went on last season? But hey Dayne, if you want him, take him.
  6. Where is he going to play in Philly? He's going to have to know what his role is and stick with it which is the very reason he's gone from DC.
  7. We need to draft a LB. not take some other teams damaged goods. For crying out loud, most players would be drooling to play in Gregg Williams defense and here's this guy who they had to bench because he couldn't conform. Don't touch him I say.
  8. Madison is more likely as he's less expensive and we need a corner more. I'd stay away from Arrington, he's damaged goods, can't adjust to new schemes and will want someone to pony up that extra money he's giving up in DC. He's really limiting his options if he wants to stay in the East and doesn't want to play in Dallas. I can't see the Eagles wanting him. If we get Madison, sign Clancy, Tyree and Chad Morton, convince Feagles to stay another and draft the rest of our needs then I'll be satisfied, Giant fans shouldn't expect a big splash out this year.
  9. Wow, now that's FAB!. No team can afford to double, double teaming ends. A full back may block down on an end but he won't stay in the block. Our Tackles did a good job getting pressure, they got no help from guys like Brent Alexader and Terrell Buckley. Our Secondary should always would hard don't you think??
  10. Money, New Orleans need to draft a qb and start over. How happy is Collins going to be knowing he's going to a losing situation and the minute the team turns the corner, he's out the door. Kerry didn't have such a good time the last time he was there, not sure why he'd want to go back.
  11. I was thinking in terms of Collins's mentality in that he believes he can start. He went to the raiders because they told him he'd compete for the Startign job and take it over, which he did. Detroit and Miami are 2 clubs that have questionable QB's to begin with and bringing Collins in would probably make him the favorite to start over the incumbents. No matter what Collins does in the future, he'll never be automatic first choice. I don't see the Ravens because they have a hard on for Boller to succeed so he'll be the starter next year no matter what.
  12. Houston is part of the mix to because the more money they have to share with other teams means less money available to them to pay down the debt involved in buying the team. dallas and Washington are the biggest dissenters though. Snyder could give a fuck if teams folded if it meant he lost money.
  13. I agree, they need to pick up a corner in the 2nd or 3rd. regardless of whether madison signs or not, the Giants have to go with experience in the corner.
  14. Collins may have been released, but don't think for one second he thinks he should be a backup. I'd be surprised if he ends up in Baltimore, because no matter what Collins does in training camp, Boller will start the season as starter. Collins will not be going to New Orleans, he had a bad time there the first time, he's not coming back here because we can't afford him. He's not going to Green Bay because they just drafted a kid 2 years ago to take over from Favre. I think he'll end up in Miami or Detroit. I know Millen and co said they are going with Harrington, but I'm sure now that Collins is available he'd be worth a look to them. Gus Ferrotte should never be a starter period.
  15. The Giants need an experienced player for the corner position. Madison fits the bill and won't cost a whole lot. This is exactly the type of move the Giants should persue. Madison and Corey Webster as the starters with Deloatch and Peterson backing them up would be good. Bringing Madison in though pretty much ensures that we won't be drafting a corner in the first round.
  16. St. peters beat up on Manhattan last night. On to the NIT I guess. CJ Anderson, improve your grades will ya???? :brooding:
  17. I know, I don't get the Whittle waiver. The guy is flexible position wise, something this organization shouldn't be forgetting.
  18. Well Money, not rubbing it in, but you're 0 for 2 so far.
  19. Fuck that Peter, how's the Starbucks at Dulles Airport?
  20. Interesting, what goes around, comes around! Penny Hardaway goes back to Orlando!
  21. Yeah but the Nets never bother with Carter if Kidd doesn't start talking about trades because the franchise doesn't look like it wants to compete after letting K-Mart go. Ratner wanted to lower payroll but he turned tail when his franchise man was unhappy, which is when they committed to Carter.
