  1. Oh, a figure of speech..................Thanks Ralph!
  2. I'm still waiting to find out the thousand words that this picture says?
  3. Yeah, 5 million lira, because I'm that big an idiot.
  4. I'm your King, and what I say goes peon. Seriously dude, you watched the play 100 times? I don't think the booth can review that play.
  5. Well, if you beat the dreaded Texans by 14, then you'll probably beat us by.........minus 10.
  6. Blu, I'm 37 years old. I have no desire to go onto a messgaeboard for the sake of being different. That would be sad. The GMB board is not a moot point because it happened while we were there so it can happen here also. People have to allow for other points of view. Both you and VG indicate that I've got a background that indicates I swim against the current just for the hell of it. That's an unfair statement and shouldn't be based on a couple of posts I made this weekend.
  7. VG, real simple, we had 10 penalties , 10!. Compared to 3 for the Colts. C'mon. What does my "opposing" view have to do with that?. The refs weren't wrong on all ten. When Carter went to turn on that play, he pushed off with his elbow. You can make that play without pushing off. fact is you can't put your hands on the defender 5 yards outside the line of scrimmage. It was the type of penalty that could have been let go sure, but it was called and that's it. I'm more annoyed about the play on Robbins where he was clearly held on the play, by the neck of his shirt, and Manning threw the ball downfield and Wilson got called for a penalty. As for my opposing view. People have to be objective, otherwise we are going to have the second coming of the GMB. We can't always look for the blame elsewhere. I'm not a big Carter fan, ask Money when I said we should have waived him. I'm looking forward to getting Moss on the field, I think if he's anything like Santana Moss, then we'll have a steal. I'm as much of a fan of the G-men as anybody else, I just have this opinion that teams must look internally first to improve and then externally. I'm this way with myself and everything else in life, I check myself first, then I look elsewhere for solutions. What the fuck is RIDDLIN?
  8. If he hasn't done much right then that would include route running. His asset is speed and if he's going to be of use to us, then let him get downfield and use it. Some streak routes perhaps?. They throw long passes in the NFL, that's not playground football like you said, they actually do it. What do you mean I take the alternate view a lot. See this is what I'm talking about when I mention the GMB, because everybody here complained about that board but I'm seeing a lot of here already. Case in point. Somebody starts a thread, the refs cost us the game. Anybody reasonable can see that even though the refs didn't help us, we cost ourselves the game. The ref didn't tell Eli to air the ball into an area where there were no Giants that cost us an INT. They didn't miss 3 should be interceptions by our players. Did one of them blow at the ball when Feely missed the field goal, no. They didn't design a safety blitz on our 20 which left Strahan in Coverage. No, simply put, we played well, well enough to win but we made errors out there that cost us, plain and simple. And I apologize for the earlier outburst.
  9. Mike Sweatman is actually a good special teams coach, but the unit just stunk it up last night. I'm sure that'll improve as the season goes on. i can't be as optimistic about the defense though. Lewis doesn't adjust well at all.
  10. The Redskins could be guilty of overcoaching. Didn't they say that Brunell spent his entire summer away from his family learning the playbook and still doesn't have it down.
  11. Morton is fine as a return man, he got fuck all to run through last night.
  12. What the fuck are you talking about? So now if I post a view that disagrees with other I'm a contarian?. Quit fucking crying, take that shit to the GMB with all the other 12 year olds if you can't thake a different opinion. And read my posts will ya, you'll see I'm not contradicting everything. Didn't I just agree with Gorilla on carter. The whole thing with carter is not ridiculous, he's not the best route runner on the team, and if he has the speed that everyone raves about then let him run his fucking ass downfield and let Eli air it out. Amani is much better coming back to the ball than carter. And it was a push off, Although I AGREED it was a weak call. And didn't I just bring up the hold on Robbins that wasn't called. Good grief!!
  13. Guys with all due respect, carter didn't graze the guys elbow, he pushed off with it. But that's the only place I disagree, because in reality that was such a ticky tack foul as Madden said. Much like the Burress "crackback" (how low was the guy anyway), Carter never put his arms out to push off. I don't see how the refs can call that in a close game and then on the other side of it, let go a clear hold on Fred Robbins when the Colts lineman almost choked him because Robbins has broken free. Other than that Gorilla brings up a good point. I only want to see carter do 1 thing as Giant, run downfield as fast as he can, not out routes!!. It's not the first time he's trapped the ball in a big game when it counts. Play to the guys strength, he's fast, use it.
  14. If Feagles punts, it's likely inside the 20. Doesn't matter if it's Unitas/Elway/Montana, you want them going 80plus and not 50. Lavar is not good with defensive schemes. Ask Greg Williams.
  15. Smalls, I think this is going to be a problem and may lead to some serious frustration later on in the season. Coughlin had a shit load of talent in Jacksonville, but they got so far and then went backwards from there. I hope he's gotten better. Lewis is overated, I don't care what anybody says. We sign more free agents for defense than offense and 4 of our last 5 top 2 draft picks are defensive players. There's talent back there.
  16. We were 3-0 down with 10 minutes gone. Pin the fuckers down and get the defense after them. Instead they start around midfield and need to only sneeze and they are in field goal range. Which is what they did.
  17. We can say fuck the refs all we want, but the bottom line is that, if we don't stop taking dumb penalties, we'll beat ourselves every game. And what's worse is it wasn't false starts or holding. That said, that Colt team won 14 games last season and were a dumb corner running the wrong way on an interception from winning the superbowl. I thought we looked pretty damn good out there tonight. Tiki and Jacobs were great, Plaxico saved Eli's numbers and the offensive line opened up bus lanes and gave Eli time. That said, here's my problem, we could be getting into a situation with this team, where we actually have the talent, but now the coaching is lacking.I've always thought that Tim Lewis hype was overdone amd when I see Gibril wilson blitzing on our 20 yard line and Strahan dropping back in coverage, well my feeling's about Lewis don't improve. Arrington and will demps were non factors. Corey webster needed serious help with Harrison and got little. If we are going to blitz, why do we wait until they are in our redzone and why don't we use linebackers. Coughlin going for it on 4th and 5 on our first drive by the way is just beyond dumb to me when you have a guy like Feagles on the sideline.
  18. You're kidding about the Titans Nem surely. I love that uni, it's one of the best to come out. By the way, Phil Knight, owner of Nike, is an alumnus of Oregon and donated a shitload of money to the university and the sports programs and one of the agreements was that Oregon become a guinea pig of sorts for new designs. That's the reason for this, It's fucking horrible, I was watching them play Fresno last night and the white jersey is bad also.
  19. I think Frank Walker's upside is bigger than Curtis Deloatch's, but it's not due to arrive till 2010!
  20. A lot of people were high on Thomas Jones who went to the Cards at 7.
  21. that's because nobody did!. The argument was should we pick Thomas Jones or Dayne.
  22. The Giants drafted who they thought were the best players at the position they needed to fill. That meant Allen, Joseph, Dayne, and Williams as examples. We weren't the only teams to think that, all those guys would have gotten picked in the first round by other teams. Mccargo may well be a tweener, but anybody in the 20-32 range could easily have fallen into the 2nd round. His stock had been moving in the draft, and some people had predicted he'd go in the first. Pressure is not an option for first round rookies, they are all under pressure. Hell think about Mario Williams for a second, that's pressure.
