Giants 2nd Round Pick (44) -- Sinorice Moss, WR, Miami

Adds a new dimension to our offense. Stretches it vertically and will be able to give our offense another look. Also great depth for ST. -

actually we don't have 56. we traded 56 and one of our 3rds for it. -

Giants 1st Round Pick (32) -- Mathias Kiwanuka, DE, Boston College

Youboty is one of the most pro-ready corners in the draft. Him or Cedric Griffin would be a great second rounder. -
At least we aren't Bills fans who traded up into the first round to draft John Mccargo... a guy lots of people thought might go in THIRD round.

Giants 1st Round Pick (32) -- Mathias Kiwanuka, DE, Boston College

everything about him reminds me of dayne. all of his "great" highlights are plays that when I watch them I think, "NFL defense tackles him for a loss there... no gain on that play either..." He's able to make plays because its against weak college defenses but I think when he gets to the pros he will have lots of trouble. -

WR rarely ever come into the NFL and perform well. Just look at all the top 10 WR's chosen over the past couple of years. NO chance they would take Toomer's spot. Lendale is going to be an awful pro. He's just like Ron Dayne. Watson is arguable, but I think we will be able to get a solid DT later in the draft. And Mathias is a better player than Watson. -

It's not a given Holmes/Jackson would have beaten out Carter/Taylor for the 3rd WR slot. -
hes a backup too!!! he wont be starting before Mathias on our team. If you forgot we just signed LA to a 7 year contract. Where does Ryans fit in?

This coming from the fab 4 who would have killed EA if he had drafted an offensive player and have said that with every comment leading up to the draft... -

It is, but you don't do it by playing rookies. I dont think there was anybody available that was a big impact player this year. Everyone would have been a backup/player for the future. If you can name someone who would have come in and stared, Ill be suprised. -
I actually think he might have been BPA who didnt have major character issues. I think hes better than: Jackson Lendale (ron dayne II, trust me) Moss Watson Eric Winston 2 players who are more talented but have character issues: Jimmy Williams Justice

we've got lots of picks to use as trade bait if we want. -
Torbor Arrington Pierce Mathias K. That's a pretty sick LB corps if we do go 3-4.

Mathias is a great player and the draft is for the future, not now. I think this will work out for us in the long run. -

Jackson is at least a year or two away from being a starter too so I'm not upset about passing on him. Also we have Taylor and Carter who still have a chance of breaking out. Justice has more character questions than anybody in this draft, glad we stayed away from him. -

Anybody we picked in the first round would have been a backup so that doesnt matter. -

I think that this is a long-term pick. Since we didnt have any big holes, I was a big proponent of taking the best player available. Granted, I didnt think he was the BPA but he's a damn good football player. Also, since we picked up a third and fourth with the trade, it allowed us to grab the BPA and fill our holes later. This is a pick that will be judged in time. I think he might end up being great. -
My big board (order in who we should pick) looks like this right now: Cromartie Jackson Jimmy Williams Holmes Justice

I understand the thought process on this one though. Mario is a stud. People say that they should have traded down but they couldnt have traded down and gotten Mario. Houston is set on Young or Leinart and they don't need to trade up N.O. doesnt need to trade up for bush Jets were the only trade partner but then they wouldnt get Mario. He's going to be a great defensive player in the league and this really helps the Texans who already have a great running back. Their team just got a lot better.

Can't bellieve reggie is not #1.

OK, since the draft is less than 20 hours away, I thought we should start a who do you want/think the Giants will draft thread. Give one name. It should be the guy that if you were GM you would pick. It should be a player that you think has a high chance of being available when we draft. I think a draft day trade is a possibility, if not likely for us. I doubt it would be up (maybe only a few spots to grab somebody, but I dont think so), but trading down to Indianapolis, NY Jets or Pittsburgh would not suprise me in the least bit. However, I dont think these trades would effect our pick too much. I think there's a good chance we good move down a few spots and get Gabe Watson, for example. MY PICK: Bobby Carpenter

Wow, I can't wait anymore. The anticipation.....It's KILLING me. Im going to try to work tomorrow but wanted to make sure I was home by the 20th pick at the latest. Anybody have any idea when they think that will be, roughly? Or our pick?
