Wilks is a Gettleman guy though. I cant see Caserio who most want, because 1. They wont wait until February to make this hire 2. Caserio most likely will want McDaniels, who wasnt the most player friendly guy in Denver or even now 3. Would want COMPLETE control and like you said Mara still has a say

Wilks is not old only 48. He is also not as stubborn as Coughlin and DeFilippo is very personable unlike McAdoo. I think thats a good combination and if DeFilippo gets HC looks down the road they cross that bridge at that time. Its rare to have a McDaniels/Belichick combo, but I think thats their goal

Wilks is the guy I like too, and I wouldnt mind Shurmur. Apparently the Giants really like John DeFilippo(Eagles QB coach was Giants OQC in 05/06) but theyd want to make DeFilippo OC and groom him since hes young and only has one year experience as a OC

Agree and Flowers has actually come around and theres nothing they can do with him until probably next draft. We wont find an upgrade from Flowers in free agency or the draft. Honestly theres not been good OTs taken since Tyron Smith in 2011, so drafting OT is a risk. Most called for Tunsil over Apple two years ago(including me) and hes struggled. IOL should be the focus its easier to find a guard than a OT

But if we have that already? I think this team is in position for an immediate impact player

1. Draft Saquon Barkley. I dont want to stash a QB after just stashing a QB. Also dont want to burn a 3rd rounder, theyve done that enough 2. Keep Spags/Sullivan/Abrams(for now) I am honestly fine with keeping things the same this time maybe these should of been the guys two years ago, instead of headstrong McAdoo and letting Reese destroy another draft 3. Offensive line-Theres not much in free agency. Resign Fluker and Pugh and theres your right side(yes Pugh belongs at OT) you can draft an LG in round two, though Quenton Nelson may be considered at 2, then the back. At C no Richburg please, sign Travis Swanson, Ryan Jensen or John Sullivan and draft one 4. LB who cares, they put zero on emphasis on a LB making a difference on defense, who cares, corners are more important in this defense. Draft one and hope Eli Apple quits 5. Avery Moss has not been bad has young depth behind Vernon/JPP still need another EDGE

Pete Carmichael for the Saints, Pat Shurmur for Minny. Bring in Carmichael and Joe Lombardi(yes that guys grandson) as OC. Another cool fact...Carmichael played for Coughlin at BC

Was never more infuriated with a draft pick than I was two years ago with Apple. Reese should of been fired the day after that draft when they made it public knowledge they wanted Conklin or Floyd then panicked and drafted Apple

Condensed version Most believe Darnold wants to stay in school like Luck/Leinart. Darnold doesnt want to go to Cleveland, but suppose could pull an Eli and force a trade. Seems even in 2019 the Browns will still have the 1st pick so it doesnt matter. I think Reese and McAdoo both do suck. Reese did come into a great situation and has failed to replace EA guys on the Oline specifically. Might be good they suck because theyve kinda been stuck in mud since 2012, they were either just bad enough or just good enough to make the playoffs like last year after spending in free agency. That spending spree has also left them stuck with guys at least through next year. That spending spree also said we need changes, but we are not going to change anything coaching wise and made a very ho- hum hire after an extensive coaching search. Not sure if Eagles really wanted McAdoo or if it was a coo to make the Giants keep him. I know one of the problems with a new coach was they wanted to keep the same coordinators and a new coach was most likely to want a total different staff. Not sure who I want for next year, do they go the inexperienced coordinator route again or bring in say a Jim Schwartz? Schwartz would clash with this organization, I dont see someone with that strong a personality being head coach though thats probably what they need.
