I think Odell would come back just to get close enough to kill Dave which would increase the number of people who would take Odell back.
Considering who our current WR starters are for Sunday, yes I would take him back. I hope he ends up on a contender, becomes the player he used to be, wins a super bowl. He has shown very little emotional control throughout his career.

Interesting that Damien Woody brings up accountability. That problem spans generations.

I don't get why Engram hasn't been traded either. Wonder where he ends up in FA.

The Denver Broncos have agreed to trade Von Miller to the Los Angeles Rams, the eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker confirmed Monday.
The Rams will send to the Broncos a second-round pick and third-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft in exchange for Miller, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Broncos will also pay $9 million of Miller's remaining $9.7 million base salary for the remaining nine games in the regular season, sources told Schefter.
It's expected that Miller will have to pass a physical before the trade is completed.

There's a good chance I watch the game on Monday, since there's not much happening at 8:30 in November here in New Hampshire.
There's also a good chance I turn the game off halfway through the second quarter when we go down by 3 scores.
Stuff happens in New Hampshire besides snow?

The problem is, this can easily turn into a Marvin Lewis scenario.
Years of mediocrity and losing records simply because ownership believes they "have their man"
Also what I worry about is if/when DG gets fired, does ownership force the new GM to keep Judge? Do they let Judge go out and pick the next GM?
Either way it's not a great position to be in, coaches hiring their own GM has never worked out, and I don't think any successful team has forced the GM to keep the HC outside of maybe Bill in NE.
Lets focus on Monday night and not thirteen years later. Not worried about Dave Gettleman getting fired simply because his job is secure. Mara & Tisch are not replacing their GM at this point. If they do move on from Gettleman, it will be a hire from within the organization and he will keep Judge. Judge doesn't have the credit to pick the next GM, at best he gets notified before the media.
Next year however you have some big contract decisions to make and that would be a time to clean house and bring in another GM to take the team in a different direction entirely.

A coach shouldn’t get worse in their second year.
Yeah a coach should not get worse than his first year. He shouldn't lose the trust of the team he coaches, the GM or ownership.
I think about McAdoo and his second year. It wasn't just the losses but he also lost the team. Then he lost ownership and he may have lost Reese, who knows. Judge hasn't lost the team.
Judge still has the team, the GM and ownership firmly behind him with a 2-5 record. There are plenty of games left to be played this season.

Another example of how Gettleman screws the Giants with his draft picks.

Here's my prediction:
Think win gets management into a "hey we won with everybody hurt" mindset, we don't trade anyone, and we still go 4-13 the rest of the way.
I don't care that we beat a Panthers team with Sam Darnold at the helm, this team fucking sucks.
Yeah there is room for improvement.
-
Joe Judge just beat the other guy the Giants wanted to hire. They both have roughly the same professional record so far.
-
I don't believe either team was intending to build around the RB position yet that is the automatic assumption when a team drafts a RB high in the first round.
Have to remember this was a completely different team when Saquon Barkley was drafted. Odell was still on the team, Eli was still on the team, etc.
-
It was a game the Giants absolutely had to win and they did. You have to beat the bad team and it doesn't make up for losing against Atlanta. Now the Giants have to play a demoralized and hurting Kansas City. Giants can't become the pick me up for Kansas City to turn it around. Giants have to be the team that kicks Kansas City while they are down.
-
I'm upgrading our chances against Kansas City to a Win for next week.
-
Win today, lose next week, win the following week. enjoy our bye, completely healthy team plays Tampa Bay and we win again just to tick Tom Brady off again.

Gold Star!
I would like to see what Saquon Barkley has to say about going 1-5 again. Went 0-5 last year but he was hurt so maybe it bothered him less? There is a whole lot of football left in the season fans wrote off two weeks ago.

That is an old video from Shurmur's first year back when Saquon Barkley was a rookie.

I feel bad about how I have lost complete hope in Evan Engram and wish we trade him while he still has value. I see him out there on the field putting in the effort and sadly that effort isn't rewarded with positive results. I'm not going to rip into him anymore and just want him to have a healthy & productive season so he can sign elsewhere and become the highest paid TE in the NFL.
-
It is a good idea, let him heal and rest.

We suck but they’re a bad team on the road. 2.5
We're a bad team at home

I think the Giants just got taken apart out there today, an unfortunate continuation of the previous week. Now I didn't think the Cowboys were good until I saw them play last week and I knew the Rams are ready for a Super Bowl this year. Clearly the Giants the way they are playing can't handle a playoff caliber team. Giants have to beat the other teams to call this season progress. Should have won against Washington and Atlanta. Carolina is a must win.
The season isn't over yet.

And I got something else I would rather do now so...toodles
-
Ok so I get home and turn on the game, Giants up by 3. Phone call and a quick meal, Rams up 14-3. Score a TD as I type this, 21-3.

Spending quality time at Firestone instead of watching the kickoff.

So the Giants win a football game against what arguably was a good team. Just going to take the win and not try and break it down. Back after the bye with a healthy and confident team.
