  1. Minus 7 yards for where the ball is set, it's really 3-12. Deep in the red zone.
  2. Yea, I could only remember one drop by Ballard. He's been very solid. Stay safe Tim. And I've watched Strahan's reaction literally about a dozen times today.
  3. Yea, I was talking to a friend of mine today, I believe he is BobPapa4Prez here, but he doesn't come around often. And we agreed that first down inside the five, every play should be a dive to Jacobs or play action until a touchdown is scored. Nothing else (except a Bradshaw leap if healthy). And, mostly dives.
  4. You're the man Jack, don't listen to the haters. If it comes online be sure to post it.
  5. That's probably as awesome as a first game can be, too bad he didn't give you each a ticket
  6. That's nonsense. He was a force on the field. And far better than any LBer on the Giants now. But I guess 5 pro bowls for an 8th round pick is overrated.
  7. Bizarre. The Giants have not had a linebacker as good as Armstead since he left.
  8. Boothe. He's not highly rated, but he is overrated. Ridiculous that he's on the roster and not Seubert, I don't care about age or injury history, Rich is flat out better.
  9. Yea, that Ravens defense was incredible and their offense decided to play well that game too. But I kinda put them up here to bait Nem on Hilliard Nicks is probably the most athletically talented WR in the discussion, but other than Rote/Gifford, no one comes close to the receiving threat that Tiki was out of the backfield. I was thinking of the 2000 Giants, but I loved Shockey, good call
  10. No, it isn't. There's much more to the position then getting at least an arbitrary number of yards in a game. By the way, Calvin Johnson only has 14. And, Toomer, who is arguably the best WR in Giants history had 22 in 189 games. While Ike had 8 in 96 games in Blue. So, Toomer's 11.6% of games vs. Hilliard's 8.3% is not that big of a difference.
  11. Bro, I thought the same thing. I liked Ike a lot, he was one of my favorite players.
  12. I think he's talking to bigblue25 about how Dave Brown only played for Spurrier one season at Duke
  13. that is pretty awesome. Good for him, I hope he continues to improve.
  14. Yep, I didn't include playoffs, but that would make it 9, 7 with Collins. He had something like 10 rec 150 yds and 2 TDs. A monster game. Dude, you don't know the half it. I started looking at games played with each QB per 100 yd game. It got bad. I had to stop and just submit the post. You can check out his game logs here: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/H/HillIk00/gamelog// That's a great site.
  15. Ha, well for the 8 vs 9 years. I looked up his stats to find a correlation between 100 yd games and who was QB and saw it was only 8 seasons. 6 of his 8 100 yd games were with Collins. 2 with Kent Graham. And zero with Kanell, Warner, and Eli. Warner and Eli split his last season with the Giants.
  16. I agree, Ike was a solid receiver and 100 yd games weren't his forte. He was a possession/3rd down guy, who was very dependable over the middle. Before the Giants had Boss to go over the middle and get clobbered, it was Ike, poor guy took a ton of hits. Plus he had Amani Toomer and Tiki to split receptions with, and he had Kanell and Kent Graham throwing to him for a couple of years. Additionally Nem, he only played for the Giants for 8 years, which was more like 7 because of the neck injury.
  17. This Giants team does not have 5 future HoFers. That is ridiculous. The 1980's Giants have 2, LT and Carson and it took Carson forever, despite 9 straight pro bowls to get in. This team doesn't even have a Carson, nonetheless 5. And with the number of great WRs in the past decade through today, it will become increasingly more difficult to get in as a WR because of such a deep talent pool. There was an article about that recently, I think it was Peter King.
  18. Boothe sucks. He always has, he always will. I said it before the season when they let Seubert go and resigned Boothe. That was moronic. Tollefson is the man.
  19. Very cool BB01. Armstead, Banks, Papa and a great Giants win, I'm jealous
  20. I believe there is a rule that would award possession of the ball to the defense if it was obviously recovered by the defense, but there would be no forward progress. Possession would take place at the site of the fumble recovery.
