  1. So then next season is another lost season. Nice job, Dave Gettleman.
  2. No Offensive Lineman = Another lost season. 6-10
  3. Most mocks I've seen have him in the top 15, and several in the top 10.
  4. According to Spotrac, the Dead Cap on his $6mm is zero, implying that if we cut him, we save all of the $6mm.
  5. So no love for Kyle Pitts at #11? And then perhaps Olave or Marshall in the 2nd? We also get to in the process dump Evan Engram and save $6mm in cap space.
  6. Interesting. I'll have to watch more youtube videos, being the nerd I am.
  7. On the rushing, what are the stats for JUST RB's, not QB's. I don't give the OL credit for Jone's runs, especially not the 90 yard scramble where he fell on his own. Overall the offense was worse. But look point taken guys. At the very least though, the 2020 line is still a BAD one. We have a lot of work to do.
  8. I think they were an F in the first half, and a C- in the second half. Better, but they had stretches of games where they were inconsistent and where the offense went nowhere. Also keep in mind, that's with a sorta okay Kevin Zeitler, who because of his massive $14mm cap hit, likely isn't going to be around in 2021, so we really have some serious slots to fill on OL.
  9. Also, this is all the more reason DG should be fired. We're in a position where, in year four, we have to fill THREE starting OL slots, and we're in a precarious cap situation with limited resources to do so thanks to him.
  10. The running game is worse this year too, and it was bad with Barkley! LOL Even if we agree to disagree on the OL being worse this year vs 2018, it's still a BAD OL nonetheless. We need to obtain at least three starters this offseason on the OL, presuming we're cutting Zeitler loose because of his massive cap hit.
  11. And I say again, if we go into 2021 relying on three 2nd year players (two of them being Peart and Lemieux) plus Nick Gates, as starters, then that's a failed off-season, and the offense will struggle. Also also, if Nate Solder is on this roster in 2021 (and not cut before Free Agency), then the Mara's should fire Dave Gettleman immediately.
  12. He wouldn't of been on the books for 2021 but neither would guys like Bradberry or Martinez lol That's not true, I just found you all the cap space you needed, plus extra cap space, to sign Bulaga and Glasgow easily. I found it for you in both 2020 and 2021 using both scenarios, opt out or no opt out.
  13. Here are his figures: Year 3: $16.5mm cap hit. $10.5mm in dead cap, meaning $6mm in cap savings if he's cut. Year 4: $18.0mm cap hit. $4mm in dead cap, meaning $14mm in cap savings if he's cut. Year 3 WOULD have been 2020, and Year 4 2021 if Dave Gettleman had cut Solder BEFORE he opted out. At this point, the cap savings if we cut him now is Year 3...only $6mm.
  14. 1) He's had far too many times where the OL simply looked horrendous...as evidenced by the OL stats. 2) Having Barkley back helps, but it doesn't make this team a 7 or 8 plus win team on it's own. 3) Last year, who were our three WR's? Who were they this year? 4) No, but I don't agree with these points.
  15. Yes there was. Solder didn't opt out until the summer, right before camp at the end of July. They were counting on him being on the roster, lol. That's on DG. Even given the opt out and current situation, your cap savings is as follows for 2021: $6mm on Solder, $12mm on Zeitler, $2.7mm on Pulley, and $3.1mm on Toilolo. There, I found you cap space to cover Bulaga and Glasgow. I didn't even factor in Cody Core and David Mayo as well, lol. Another $4.6mm.
  16. 1) Do you think Jones's regression had anything to do with him playing behind an offensive line that was WORSE this year by every metric versus in 2019? 2) The giants record WITH Barkley is worse than the Giant record without him. 3) The giants WR's this year were essentially the same as last year. 4) If you want to argue that their receivers are not that talented, whose fault is that? I realize this is besides the OL point, but that then comes back to DG. I'm sorry, but if we're going into next season with only replacing Zeitler on the OL, and doing nothing else to improve the OL, this team is in for a 6-10 or 7-9 season at best, and bottom tier offense.
  17. Yes, we should have cut him lose in last year's offseason, before the opt out. The cap savings in 2021 would have been $14mm had DG done that, on that move alone. Of course he didn't, Solder opted out, and now any cap savings from cutting him in 2021 is only $6mm. In other words, Dave Gettleman, through this one move alone, spent $10.5mm of our cap space in 2021 on NOTHING. lol. There are plenty of other moves I've mentioned, such as not signing Levine Toilolo and Spencer Pulley. That's another $6mm in cap savings on those two guys alone.
  18. Also I don't see problem #1 being the Oline. What's the main driver of this offense being one of the worst in the league this year, plus worse than it was 2 years ago? So if OL is not the top problem, if we just had a stud WR and stud RB (Barkley), we'd be magically better? See 2018 for that one. Better than Solder, Hernandez, Hiphpphilloo, Zeitler and Remmers lol Every metric on this OL has them being worse than in 2018, and the offense is worse in general. I'd like to see what the Oline looks like with a full year of non Columbo coaching and a real running back not fucking Gallman or Morris. It would be a disaster and sign of gross incompetence to go into 2021 with the current OL, without signing at least one prominent FA OL and/or drafting OL high. Zeitler and Solder alone have $14 and $16mm cap hits respectively. Thomas, Lemioux, Gates, FA and Peart isn't a bad thing to be looking at. If we're going into the season relying on Lemioux, Gates, and Peart as 3 of 5 starters on this team, then the season is setup to fail, and we're in for another terrible offense.
  19. No we wouldn't. We should have signed them, cut Solder, plus never re-signed Engram, and that would easily pay for it in 2021.
  20. Eh, while I hate Engram...I think this is overblown. At best, he cost us 1 win. Also the Football Team handed us a victory, plus when 4 out of 6 of your victories are in this abysmal NFC east, that's nothing to write home about. DG did a great job in both free agency Did he do a great job on the offensive line, when he could have signed Bryan Bulaga and Graham Glasgow, but instead we go? Cam Fleming $3.7mm cap hit. Spencer Pulley $2.8mm Levine Toilolo $3.3mm Kyler Fackrell $4.6mm Nate Ebner $2.0mm Cody Core $2.0mm Dion Lewis $1.5mm That's $20mm in precious cap space on these scrubs. Bulaga and Glasgow get you two more wins easily. 8-8 at least, and you're in the playoffs. That's why DG should be fired.
