BlueInCanada
Found an old stash of Giants articles in my bookmarks from back in the day. Here's one of my favorites about the Oline. https://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/giants/giants-offensive-line-article-1.334055 Shame to see we went from that to 10 years of just trash O-lines especially these last 5 years. CrazedDogs
Indeed. Highest drafted player on that unit was Chris Snee. IIRC, Seubert was undrafted, Diehl in the 5th round, and O'Hara and McKenzie were free agents. A big part of the reason those teams were so good is they had the good OL despite spending little draft capital on the position.
jranieli
Probably should have sent the OL coach packing as well. Terrible drafting and bad coaching
TaylorBanksCarsonVanPelt
Yep... Offensive Lines have been the key since the days of the old Steelers, with Alex Webster as the center who was one of the first three hundred pound guys with massive forearms. O line covers up a lot of faults. If a QB has a clean pocket and at least three seconds to throw they can reliably shred a defense. Even top tier.
