Maybe part of the problem is Posada? Their decline in performance does happen to coincide with his return behind the plate. Just stating the obvious that pettitte sucks now. You're a hard man to convince. They flashed some stats yesterday during the pre-game. Team ERA with Posada about 7.50, all others about 3.80. Probably the only reason they play him is to cover up Cashman's or Steinbrenner's fu for giving him a 4 yr deal at his age. I won't be surprised if they're playing him every day so he'd blow out his shoulder or hamstring again so the insurance can pay his salary.
