feefifoefum Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 13. Now that's impressive. *The Giants did not commit a turnover in Minnesota and finished the season with an NFL-record 13 turnovers in a 16-game season (the mark was tied later in the day by the Miami Dolphins). The Giants lost only three fumbles all season only one by their running backs on 502 rushing attempts. http://www.giants.com/news/headlines/story...?story_id=33870
Dragon Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 That is impressive... especially considering that Eli had two multi-interception games.
Lubeck Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 What that stat shows is an impressive feat of coaching. Developing the football fundamentals to keep the ball safe is historically the key to long-term success.
BurnThePhilFans Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 If Manning doesn't throw that meaningless last second bomb in the second dallas game up for grabs as time expired we would own the record... Still a major accomplishment
Jay Lesner Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 This is an impressive feat by the New York Giants and the Miami Dolphins. The less turnovers you have, the better. I knew the Giants were good with turnovers, but I didn't think they were this good. Kudos to both teams for this record.
ppodlesny Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Wow I did not even realize this....we have been so used to Eli's interceptions and Tikis fumbles that no one was even paying attention.
Nas Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 That is impressive... especially considering that Eli had two multi-interception games. Impressive and surprising...
