  1. Haiti and Colombia its a musical transaction...
  2. Also bullshit Chargers fans there was only one LT and that was and is Lawrence Taylor. Your ersatz LT don't mean shit outside of that bs city called San Diego. The Chargers even left your asses...
  3. Chargers fans just love the fact they won nothing with Rivers yet we have two rings over Brady's Patriots with Eli... oh well they can go to their graves with that stuff.
  4. Wow I remember him. After a bad head coaching gig... these guys would do well to disappear into Division I and/or better Division II football in college. Careers that last 15-25 years by just being ex NFL and staying quiet.
  5. Arbitrary views of what it is and how it will be applied. PI and holding writ large...
  6. I went to school with a Boykin... any relation he is probably mediocre...
  7. I worked ten years from 1996-2006 for ACS New York City child welfare and the stories could be mind numbing. My Ex Battle Ax was big on it.... but I dissuaded her from it. It is rife for dealing with disturbed kids.
  8. He is just being realistic and knows what he is coming to. I think that is a good thing to tell you the truth. As long as he is not the next Toney I am fine with his responses... and the "off field bullshit". Tired of the Giants looking for Boy Scouts. It is like armies looking for priests and nuns during a war... you may find them but do you want them. LT probably snorted more cocaine than the next ten people combined but he was the best player ever for the NFL. Changed the game all by himself. He was so good that the Giants got rid of Brad van Pelt, and Gregory who were good inside linebackers for the Giants and were perceived by management as negative drug influences on LT. The team wanted Harry Carson (top notch ILB in 3/4 system) and Harry Martin (great DE in a 3/4) and a good soldier as LT's main influences. Ancient history from 1981 onward that is forgotten. Knowing now.... van Pelt and Gregory were probably just convenient scapegoats and turned LT on to where he could score rather than the ones who "influenced" him to where he could score.
  9. I like Odunze more but would be happy with a Nabers. I would be happy with a top tier QB. I see pick six as a great opportunity to get the best available athlete as in the old days.
  10. Nice impactful story line. Here's hoping for him.
  11. That was the famous draft. Elway and Marino were worth it... the rest were mediocre.
  12. He seems to be getting a really close look. He may go higher than expected.
  13. This... take a shot... and he will be paired on the opposite side from Thibs and Dex. It is up to Dex and the LB's to stop the run.... and the edge guys to contain. I think this will help Thibs as well as Burns. I think this is an upgrade reminiscent of the early lines that Spags had.
  14. For sure... football at that level is a violent and unforgiving sport. I would rather have three years of beautiful QB play as opposed to six years of nothing.
  15. For sure... why would you cripple yourself after winning the football lottery?
  16. We just have to roll the dice bro... L'audace... audacity when faced with adversity. We should not stand pat...
  17. I agree completely with this assessment. Running backs are not to be overpaid. Barkley IMHO was not better than OJ Anderson, Tiki, Joe Morris, Jacobs, and Bradshaw for the Giants... he was a Hampton for me. A big part in winning mostly meaningless games and a shelf life of 5 years. He may find himself more of a focus in Filthy and get pounded repeatedly. I expect to see Barkley leave the league in no more than 3 years at best. RB money... not breakthrough money. I only wish we we had tagged him and let DJ walk. The average Giants fan would have died... not me who has been watching since 1968. I have seen a lot of lean years and great years.... it gives you a lot perspective. We have to just turn the page...
  18. I concur with this... McCarthy may be all that and a bag of chips. He may not be. All of these QB's are pretty much crap shoots. The thing about the college QB's of today is that most of them are mobile and have a better feel for the pressure. I have more faith in all of these college QB's than in Duke DJ....
  19. With Johnson gone the line improves on just that. Also I don't think the Giants are finished just yet. First year QB won't see much of the field anyway... So it will be a wash either way. None of these guys are Eli in my opinion. It is what it is...
  20. I would rather have Penix and an extra pick. You just have to roll the dice.
  21. I think of a power forward as a banger...rebounder and garbage scorer there to help out the center. It is the off guard... shooting forward that are the scorers in my mind. With the point guard setting up the plays and getting the ball up court.
  22. Old style power forward.... thinking old Knicks from the 80s. Modern game no way ... he would have to be at least 6'6"... best if he was 6'8"
