Absolutely!!! I mean at one point, the Giants were in the game 10-16 Jags. Defense did ok (minus that 'rock' #23, and #47...I wont call their names, just numbers)...but Eli and Co. can't get 3rd downs converted is the killer in the 1st half.

Yea... ...but let's look at facts. Not bashing Eli BUT Eli just doesn't have 'it' yet. We're STILL dealin' with his 'mechanics'. We're still dealing with his 'sad' demeanor after each failed play. Eli has NOT taken this OFFENSE by the 'neck' and commanded respect from Shockey nor Plex. I mean do these guys even practice with Eli? All of the overthrown balls to Plax and the non throws to the third best TE in the league???? I truly believe that Eli is intimidated by Plax/Shockey. They prolly get sooo mad with him after a errant pass that it has shook Eli to this point that we see today....this lack of confidence. Another thing: Is the playbook too much for Eli? In regular time Eli seems VERY unsure of the plays called. But in 2 min, 3 min drill...he is slightly more confident running the O. Why?

Eli could possibly be benched next week. Seems like he's not grasping the 'mechanics' thing nor is he comfortable with the plays on offense. Tim Hassleback (sp)...you're up kid!

I think the Giants are done for the season. I see 8-8. Too many injuries and too much of an inept Eli! I wish for ONCE that ELI get some balls and fire in his belly and show some emotion other than that sad ass look....

I remember being this frustrated...after the Superbowl season (loss to Ravens)...the next season the G men stunk it up. The Ray Handley years, the Dan Reeves years... ...What's up with Eli? 5 games in a row he's looked LOST! Is the play book too much for him? Is he getting any sleep? Does he PRACTICE with Shockey and Burress? Was Toomer that important to him? ...after 2 and a half seasons, we are STILL talkin' about 'mechanics' with this #10 guy. FUCK!!!

This team looks 8-8....I would be SHOCKED if they made the Wildcard even. #23 and #47 have NO clue on Secondary play. Fuck callin' their names...they're numbers to me. I cannot stomach this team anymore. Offensively we aren't on the same page with each other...Eli is a 2 min drill QB at best and the play calling is atroiciuos! I am going to BED!!!!

Simms was a TUFF bastid! Wheres I am a lil scared for Eli...he's so emotionless. For once I'd like to see him get feisty with anyone on the opposing team.

Wow! I forgot how feisty Phillip Simms was! They showed a tape of him and the Tuna gettin' they yell on! Simms told Tuna to 'shut up'!!!! And I'll never forget the MNF game with Simms and Lott going face to face after the Giants lost 7-3....I knew that Phillip was something special!

It's his 3rd season....and so far Eli is progressing slowly. Question is: can this coaching staff make a playbook that is great for Eli? Because Eli isn't confident in these current plays that the Giants run.

IMO, that makes Simms a tad better than Montana. Simms had ZERO hall of fame all pro recievers to throw to. AND all Simms really had was Bavaro for 2-3 seasons.

This year Eli has a better supporting cast. A big reciever, Toomer was the go to possesion guy and Shockey is the TE that's top 5 in the league. My concern is Eli hasn't really looked comfortable EVER in a normal huddle up offense or the Giants play calling on Offense. Eli looks great in a hurry up offense. I think he's allowed to do what Eli feels comfortable with in a 3 min or 2 min drill. Sorry for forgetting Tiki!!!!

Once Eli fixes those 'mechanics' he will be okay. Once Eli learns to execute in a standard offense (he already excels in a 3 min, 2min drill)...he'll be okay. And Once we turn Tiki into what the Chargers have in L.Tomlinson the Giants will win more... ...that being said. IF I had the chance to take Phil Rivers, Ben Rothllisberger or Eli...I would grab Eli....he fits the Giants system. Ben isn't that great when he throws over 30 times, Phillip wasn't ready 2 yrs ago. Eli has won some big games despite the depleated WR core. Pittsburgh has Ward and had Randle El. Chargers has Gates, Mccardel and L. Tom. Giants (in Eli's first yr) had Toomer, Carter, Tyree, Shockey (and Shockey played hurt). Eli has impressed me more with less.

Fuck. So much for the minimal fumbling. On another note: I can see why he wants to retire. I finally saw 'it' last night. This is a greuling sport. Thumbs, knees, ankles, achilles Fibulas, back spasms...Giants are a walking M.A.S.H unit.

THAT might just happen. Tiki has a sore thumb and we DO NOT wanna see that thumb severely injured come Wildcard time.

That ESPN will probably have a '4 Quarters' segment debating wheter to cut losses with Vick and trade him "If they were GM of the Falcons". I listen to an Atlanta Sports Zone station on line and they actually had callers saying Vick should be traded for a 'go to reciever' and draft picks. Shaub should start.

Thank God I can choose to watch Directv and NFL Network. Plus I love the thing they do with the head ref explaining some calls that seemed questionalbe during the week. Somebody has GOT to help explain 'roughing the passer' when Grossman got tapped in the helmet. Such a BS call. There I go venting again!

You guys STILL watch that garbage network ESPN? NFL network clearly is the class coverage of the NFL, a great idea for those who love consistent analysis and real football stars that cover games.

I'll give u a FEW reasons why we couldn't shut them down. Corey Webster....has NO clue on how to corner. #85 Tyree isn't #81 Toomer! Eli is so uncomfortable in this Offensive scheme (he's much more 'free' when he runs two minute and three min drills). The defense out there yesterday ran out of gas. Those guys are used to rotating and staying fresh! #77 went down and BOOM! There goes Eli's protection. Plaxico (although he's very good) is way too cocky. Not enough passes to Shockey. ...shall I go on?
