Now you guys planning all this shit, I am getting the itch. It doesn't help she's got strep throat right now, my kid is on her very last nerve, and me bringing up taking off for a weekend will just make things miserable at the moment. I did check flights (Southwest has a round trip web-only special for 89 bucks), and I'm still trying to figure out stubhub. I am sure between now and then I'll hit something at the casino to make up for the cost, so that shouldn't be an issue. It's the bitch factor that I don't want to deal with right now. I'll keep you posted.

I can get out, that's not the problem. It's a bad time of year for me to splurge on something like that with the holidays around the corner, ya know? I'd love to go, been waiting for a 'Cards game on the schedule just so I could see my first live game. Besides, even if I could go, I'd have to bring the old lady, and Dallas is playing them as well, so I'd have to get stuck at a Dallas/Cards game....the whole thing would just get .......ugly. But I'll be looking for a Sportswrath banner on TV.

I think the new rule is way overdone. Some of the calls I've seen were incidental contact. If a defensive player is reaching out to tackle, and the tackle-ee lowers his shoulders and gets his facemask glanced by the defender, that's not really a dirty play, now is it? I'm not by any means defending dirty, spin one's head around facemasking, but seriously, some of the 'new' calls are ridiculous. They're out there tackling, playing football......not Checkers.

Anyone seen Fishy around lately? He left Colston in, and didn't rotate anyone in for the postponed games. I hope he's ok.
