  1. Only gave up 4 hits. That makes me fell like throwing up a little.
  2. Huh. Maybe Al was all politics in the dugout like its been rumored.
  3. Damn! forgot they were playing this afternoon. I missed the game because of work, but as far as the hitting mistakes go....all of the interviews I have heard from the Mets hitting coach, he preaches that if you get a fastball you think you can hit you take a rip. Thats probably why they were swinging on 3-1, good fastball count. D. Wright is struggling in the field a little at the moment, but it seems to me that if a player thinks a ball is gonna roll foul, 90% of the time they let it go. Sometimes it just doesn't work out the way you want it to. Congrats on the new edition!!
  4. I've been watching his stats all year, and I just find that whole trade situation depressing. Al Leiter may have gotten a bum wrap in that deal also. I think he was blamed for pushing Kazmir out because he didn't like that "ego".
  5. Won't we have Gonzalez - Pedro - Glavine going for us? I would say that gives us a good chance at taking 2 of 3.
  6. Reyes so far this season - 14 walks, .331 OBP March-April-May 2005 season - 8 walks .305 OBP He's gettin' better. Willie is getting him to take some pitches. (Maybe not when you are watching )
  7. Wow, we have seen some seriously bad umpireing in the last couple of days. First AH vs the braves, now these clowns in Philly. I can let one bad call go, but the same umpire blows one assignment (making the call on Reyes blooper in outfield) which allows philly to force out Pedro, then blows the call on Reyes at 2nd. Then the ump calls Kaz out on a pitch by his chin, in the ninth with 2 outs and 2 in scoring position. If they are gonna make these horrible calls, then they have to get some thicker skin. Stop looking into the dugouts, no one is showing them up, when they are complaining from the dugout or on deck circle. They are sensative like freakin women for god sake. Grow a pair Mary.
  8. Why the love for Heath Bell. I can't ever remember him doing anything but mop up work, cuz he always gave up runs. Am I missing something? I asked this question before, but I don't remember seeing a response.
  9. They are a buch of assholes, but thats really funny.
  10. Well I'd love to see another comeback, but Lima vs Smoltz wasn't looking too good anyway. This fuckin umpire crew SUUUUUCKS! You can see the folds in the guys pants move when LoDuca tags him. weak call man weak.
  11. I think he had a couple of strokes, thats why he sounds like that. I kinda like to hear the old school stories. Baseball is kinda about its deep history. It good to hear that history from one of the greats.
  12. Wow, that was freakin scary. D. Wright almost got plunked in the cheek
  13. Welcome back Mr. Beltran. That was a blast to center
  14. Too bad he couldn't grab that big hit in the eigth. Would have been a great day all around. Good D though.
  15. Beautiful catch by Floyd. Hope he didn't hurt those ribs too bad.
  16. Doesn't seem like Glavine is getting the same low strikes as Thomson is getting tonight. I hate that.
  17. I'm glad Wagner hit him with one of his fast balls. That'll teach him. Why does every Mets closer feel the need to load the bases before they make their pitches? Oh well, 1 down 2 to go. Good win tonight. The D. Wright returns

    P4P!!!!!!!!!

Happy B-Day Plax. Here's to many more!
  19. Oh how I hate the Joneses. There aren't many sounds I hate more than the gay ass tomahawk chop. Playing the Braves is aggrevating. :brooding:
  20. I doubt it. They are probably hoping he will have a couple of good starts, starting at shea, so his trade value will spike and they can unload him. Maybe I just having a case of wishfull thinking.
  21. Trachs will hit his groove. He hasn't given up many runs, even though in his outings he seems like he is struggling a little. Remember a couple of years ago, he was our most consistent starter when he was healthy. I think Bannister has put more people on base than Trachs has. I hope his hammy is OK, cuz he has the signs of a real good pitcher. Definately can pitch out of a jam.
