  1. I can't have those long term type dreams for me.

I did have a nightmare one time though that Bob Sheppard announced Eli Manning into the game but it was Dave Brown that broke out of the tunnel and played until I woke up.

LOL.........hey, that wasnt funny. :brooding: :P

  2. And don't forget the senior citizins named Brunnel and Bledsoe... lol, Bledsoe got tore up by just Osi last year, and thier o-line hasn't gotten any better... Brunnel scares me a little, but one good hit he'll be done for too... I don't want them to get injured, but face it... they are old and fragile now, and we IMO have a top 5 'caliber' defense

Agree, definatley top 5. Finally. :TU:

I predict we get to the NFC Championship game this year, this team is special.

  3. Sam Madison's experience will be helpful, but I'm concerned with his showing his age. I agreed with his signing, but I think the biggest benefit will be his leadership role over guys like Webster, Deloatch, etc. I agree with Gibril and Demps being lightyears ahead of Williams and Alexander. And I'll agree further that I like McQuarters as a 3rd CB. All the moves look good on paper, but until the unit plays, I'll still be concerned, given the overhaul. Changing one spot isn't a big deal, but to only bring back two starters in the whole unit (Gibril & Webster) forces the unit to have to gel, which can take time. I guess I'm just being cautiously optimistic.

By the way, Will Peterson is gone and isn't coming back. That info was released a few weeks back. Shame, because I liked the guy a lot, but injuries killed his career.

True, about only bringing back 2 starters. Might be tough to gel quickly. Esp.with Webster being in his 2nd year.

Will Pete is gone???? I've been away for awhile, but I tried to check news regularly.I guess Imissed that one! :o I liked him too,but youre right, too many injuries.

  4. Our defense as a whole will only go as far as the secondary. Our DBs were pretty much horrible the vast majority of last year. We played the run pretty well, but against the pass we were terrible. It didn't take a rocket scientist for a offensive coordinator to realize that they needed to pass first to open us up against the run.

Our LBer depth is vastly improved with Arrington, Short, and our draft pick (Wilkinson, or something like that). Our D line is fine. I was concerned with the DT position, but with Joseph, Cofield, Robbins, and Seawright, I think we'll be okay. Again, it's going to be the secondary that will be the true test of our defense.

True, bwe've made changes, acquisitions, which in my opinion were good. With Gibril and Demps, we have two young and talented Safetys. A huge upgrade over Shaun Williams and Alexander. As far as the CB's go, I believe Sam Madison can still be a threat, and either Will pete or Webster on the other side we should be fine. Granted Will Pete dont get injured again. I like McQuarters on nickel packages, decent experience there.

  5. Its ty[ical AL East. The Sux blow out of the gates, like theyre sumthin. The Yankees lose a few, then rally towards the end makin a strong playoff push. Win the division while the Sux fizzle out at the end. Like always. :LMAO:

  6. Just so any of you Gay Sux fans know, just because he is 4/4 in save oppurtunties does not make him a future HOF.

Papelbon, Declaremen, and Hansen are not the next 3.

No, they are decent prospects, the first in a long while for the Red Sox.

No need to blow it out any further out of proportion.

I am so sick of you Peter Gammons knuckleheads going on about how awesome your prospects are.

Yes, compared to your 2004 "Purchased" championship team, you do have a lot of young talent, but that is compartively speaking.

After years of having the worst farm system, you finally have someone besides a mop up pitcher.

    Congrats.

We are stacked in AA, so shut up

    I couldnt agree more. :clap::clap:

  7. Id have to put Tiki's 3 2000 yard season above anything Hampton did....Don't get me wrong I love Hampton but Tiki's the all round best back we have ever had....Back to back years he has lead the NFL in yards from scrimmage.. Over the last 4 years he is second to only LDT Total Yards(by less then 10yd)...Isn't he the only back to get atleast 1800 yards running and 500 receiving in the same season?

    TIKI TO THE HALL

Couldnt have said it better myself.

  8. You know, the fact that he can come here and stick it to the Skins alongside another former Skin Pierce, should be the deal breaker right there. If healthy, he is one of the best. Does he want a ring, or more money?

  9. It's hard to argue anybody but Tiki here. Even with HotRod being my favorite player. Of course, different types of backs are hard to compare in different eras and on different teams but like I said, it's hard to argue against what Tiki has done.

I totally agree, except Rodney being my favorite of all time. He's one of my fav's, but Tiki is the best of all time. Hard to argue that. :TU:

  10. Damn. Thats a tough schedule. First 3 games are all very tough. The easiest part looked like it comes in the middle, when we play texas. Unlike last year, there arent any gimme games. The only "easy" one is against Houston and they're going to have Reggie Bush. Fortunately, I think the Giants are going to be one of the best teams in the NFL this year and will be able to win the NFC East and make the playoffs.

I agree, we're bein underestimated, thats good. :TU::TU:

    EliTD.jpg

  11. Yes, I am one of those - Ben's QB rating for the entire 2005 regular season is 3rd in the NFL - Eli's is 23rd. Eli threw 24 TDs, but on 557 attempts - Ben had 17 TDs on only 268 attempts. If Ben threw as many times as Eli , he gets 35 TDs.

Finally, of the 12 playoff QBs, Ben's QB rating is 1st and he got the Lomabardi Trophy - Eli's rating was 12th (Last) and he got his butt whooped.

Ben's Stats were much better than Eli, and that is why he has a Super Bowl ring while Neiither Manning does. If Ernie selects Ben in the 2004 draft, the Gaints have the better QB and all-pro shawn Merriman from the 2005 draft.

Dude, I hope your dumb ass isnt a Giant fan. :brooding:

Ben's QB rating...IS NOT 1st among playoff QB's. His stats in the SB were horrendous. And no, if he throws as many times as Eli, its not assured that he gets 35 TD's. Puhlease. He has a ring....BECAUSE HIS TEAM AROUND HIM IS REAL GOOD. Eli is needed to do more than Ben. Get a clue schmucky.

  12. The only people crying are those Giant fans who are smart enough to realize that our "Bert Jones " crazed GM picked the wrong guy !!

EA should have picked Big Ben??? Are you one of those people that think Ben is doing so great at QB, when realistically, his stats stink, and his team around him is so good, that he excels? Are you one of those schmucks?
