  1. He was a WR in HS and at Ole Miss for one year but, had to stop playing sports all together in 1993 becuase of some sort of disease that affects the spine. If he would have continued to play, he risked paralysis so, he retired.

Oh shit, really? Thanks, I didnt know that.

    Did he have any skills?

  2. Yeah, I know that we've been doing the 4-3 for a long time now. But when Tim Lewis came in, because of the athleticism of our DEs, there was talk about lining up in a 4-3 and dropping a D-linemen back into coverage, which would be virtually identical to lining up in a 3-4 with one of the linebackers on the line of scrimmage. Likewise, we could easily line up in a 3-4 and blitz a linebacker, thus becoming a 4-3. If I were to favor a particular lineup, it'd have to be the 4-3 simply because that's what we've done well with recently and I don't want a massive overhaul of the defense. But if we were to become that hybrid off the two, it would add much to the unpredictability of the defense.

Our secondary was terrible and I'll hold on any evaluation until they play this year. All I know is that if Madison shows his age like some think he might, we could very easily see Corey Webster covering their #1, which is rather scary. At the same time, even if Madison does show his age, he's far better that Will Allen in my opinion. I like the Demps signing more than anything.

Oh, w/o a doubt, the Demps signing was huge. He and Wilson back there give us a young, formidable Safety tandem that should be around for awhile. I also agree about the CB situation. I do believe Webster will be fine in time, but for now he is untested. It really depends on how Madison is. If he doesnt show his age, we are fine. And yes, he is better than W. Allen IMO. This is one of the most exciting seasons upcoming that I can remember in a long time. This team just seems special. REAL special. :TU:

  3. They Got Kitna and Josh McNown. Kitna did well in Cincy, albeit he hasn't anything special, but McNown took advantage of having Boldin and Fitzgerald in Arizona, I think he could be a really good fit in Detroit.

Oh thats right, I live in AZ, so I remember McCown. Actually, I thought he could have done fine in AZ, not a bad young QB. Kitna to me is a career backup, and Josh is yet to prove he can do it all year long. So I dont know why he makes the Lions rate so high.

  4. No mention of Shockey or Tiki as recieving threats, yet they managed to mention Gates and Tomlinson.

Falcons at 16? I'm a Vick fan and I know thats a joke.

I'll accept the Lions and Saints, both tems have better QB's this season, maybe they can take advantage of the receivers on those teams.

The Saints, OK, w/ Brees I'll give ya that. But the Lions????

Who exactly are thier QB's?? John Stamos or somebody? :P

  5. I've been saying it for the longest time. Tiki iwill be the greatest RB in NY Giants history.

I believe he already is. He has the most yards, thats impressive. But what seperates him from the rest is his endurance, and his awesome abilty to be a receiver. The guy is phenomenal. :TU:

  6. 1. How can I start with anything other than the fact that I'd like to see us play a close game in the playoffs. If recent memory serves me correctly, in the past few years we allowed one of, if not the, largest comeback ever in a playoff game when we lost to San Francisco. And last year's debacle against Carolina wasn't a whole lot easier to take.

    2. Eli to develop further. I'm sure he's in more control than what he looks, but he seriously looks a lot like a rag doll getting thrown around at times. I'd like to see his accuracy improve. You can give him all the weapons in the world and if he can't hit them, it's a big problem.

    3. Tiki to give us another good year and for us to groom Jacobs further to see if he's going to be a full time replacement when Tiki moves on or whether he'll continue to be used in predictable short yardage situations.

Honorable mention: I'd like to see this 3-4/4-3 hybrid defense that we've been talking about for a few years now.

Well, we've been doing the 4-3 for a few years now, Im not sure if I want to toy around w/ the 3-4 defense. What we've had up front has worked for us so far, up front that is. Of course our secondary is another question. :brooding:

  7. I honestly don't see how Dallas is considered to be better than us. To be honest with you, I actually see Philly winning the division again.

I agree w/ Dallas not being better than us, but Philly will NOT win the division. It will be us agin. Not because Im a Giant fan, but honestly, what other team is as complete as us in the div? Dallas, no O line and average running game. Wash, NO QB. Philly has ABSOLUTLEY no running game, no passing game, and OLD CB's.

  8. The way the 'skins wrapped up the season last year, they deserve to be up there close to us.

The 'boys should be under us, but not too terribly far. Their defense is young, but they've got some good talent there. The o-line/running game does need help. Double teams on TO should help that.

The Eagles always play us tough. They'll come back better than they were last year.

Your assesment is much better. We all play each other well, thats the only reason it will be close.

  9. Those power rankings hold absolutely zero merit.

And sense. Not just because Im a Giant fan, but we are w/o a doubt the best in the NFC East. Its absurd to have the Skins, and even more so, the Cowgirls ahead of us. Just because they get one rec. no matter how good the guy is, cant make them jump that high. Their D is still average and they have no Oline and an old average QB.

And Im sorry, but the Seahawks #1????? Ridiculous. <_<

  11. This is the stupidest rankings I have ever seen. Yeah Detroit's WRs have really kicked some ass. And the Saints WRs had a great year last year. This article is the type of shit that gets put out when there is nothing going on in the NFL because it's June. I'm sure that it took a lot of time and research to write this article.

    :TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD::TD:

That HAS to be a joke. That cant be real. Someone cannot be that unknowledgeable about football, and make a living reporting it. Are you friggin kiddin me? So, this guy's tryin to tell me that the Lions , Rams and Vikings have a better QB than the Eagles? And they had the CARDINALS....thats right....THE CARDINALS, ranked higher in RB than the Gmen. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
