Yeah we have a knack for getting backup qb's more money than they deserve.
LOL...we do.
-
My prediction is:
Giants 140
Eagles -7
The Giants will score more than any other team in football history ever has and the Eagles will get stuffed so hard that the refs will have no choice but to deduct a TD from their regular season schedule.
Result will be that the Eagles are eliminated as a franchise and replaced with a team called the Tinkerbells in honor both of Paris Hilton's pooch and the average testicular fortitude of a Red Sox fan.
YES!

Hey, that mutha beat us before. :brooding:
-
Yeah, at times I wondered if they were playing to get T.C. fired.
-
We are in. Cant ask for more than that. Any true fan would be rooting for them to go all the way. You can count me among those folks.
As sad as it may be, EVERYONE has a chance now. I think we have a good chance of beatin Philly. They show some weaknesses in areas we excel in. (i.e. bad run D, Tiki respectively) Its after that I start to worry. But even then, it wouldnt be the wierdest thing to win another.

It was ridiculous. He had 4 days to prepare. It was Hufnagel's offense, with Gilbride's play-calling.
This incredible offense had 355 yds, of which 97 did not involve Tiki Barber. I guess you could give Gilbride credit for using Barber, but that's not really all that impressive.
This, is what scares me. Unfortunatley.
I hope Im wrong.
-
I agree with Hufnagel being gone, his play calling stunk. But, I actually dont know how to feel about everyone else. We suffered massive injuries right in the heat of our success. Every team has a couple every year, but what we endured, was unbelievable. It HAD to do with how we started stinkin up the place. We were pretty good before that. It will be Eli's 3rd full yr as a starter, right about the time star QB's start to get it. Gilbride seems like he knows how to call the right plays, and Tim Lewis had it under control B4 the Defense went down.
I just dont know.
But I will tell you this......we DEFINATLEY have a good chance to beat the Egirls.
-
Fuck these bums. They must be too stupid to realize that the NFC is weak and we had an extreme amount of injuries, thats the only reason they won the East. Every team has a couple of injuries, we sustained a ton, very not normal. Otherwise, we would have swept them. Its anybodys game in this conference, and I believe we play better on the road. They better watch thier asses.
GO GIANTS!!!

Mostly due to injury and coaching incompetence.
Ahhhh, coaching incompetence. That too.
-
It has been truly, an embarrassing season. Mostly due to injury and Eli's youth, but emabarrasing none the less.

The problem, in my opinion, is not whether we need to run the WCO or not. I think we should be versatile enough to adjust our gameplan if the opposing D got our #. I think our philosophy should favor the run in order to open up the passing lanes and run the play action pass. Yes, we need to pick up the tempo as well.
I'm still an Eli supporter and will never give up on him. Not when he lacks receivers who can run routes, get seperation, and give 100% on every play.
Very well said, which is why I think I believe in him.
-
you mean the one TD where it was AGAINST strong wind gusts?
There were more than one. The TD pass in the N.O. game, the one that beat the Egirls, I remember one against the cowgirlz and the Panthers.
-
Too bad they did not demote Johnny Lynn *cough cough* Tim Lewis.
Johnny lynn.......I feel like you just punched me in the chest.
-
GREAT CALL!!! PLAYOFFS BABY!! WHOOO HOOO!!!!!!!
-
the west coast offense replaces running plays with quick, short passes...the WCO would be a colossal waste of Eli's talent, since it is more suited for weak-armed QBS that need simple reads and outlets to the running back...you don't draft a QB #1 overall to run a WCO, since you can pretty much insert anybody smart enough to run it and they don't have to be physically talented...look at Drew Brees...he doesn't run a pure WCO, but it's similar....his numbers look great because all he does is throw swing passes to Reggie Bush....the short pass is Eli's weakness and he can't hit a swing pass to Tiki if his life depended on it.....
His short passes are better than his long, look how many times he underthrew Plax.
-
WCO is short 3 step quick realse passes by the qb with good recievers that can break tackels no OLD Miss did not run it
No, Ole Miss didnt run it, but I actually think, if implemented, Eli would succeed in it. When he has time, it seems like he stinks. Go figure.

7 words.
Bill Parcells, Bill Bellicheck and Lawrence Taylor
Hard to argue w/ this. Im 36, so I remember those seasons vividly.
-
you need precise accuracy in the short-intermediate passing game for the WCO... A.K.A. Eli is not the perfect candidate for it :brooding:
I dont know, I've seen Eli be pretty effective in the 4th qurater when trailing. When het directed comebacks, there were alot of short precise passes. Thats pretty much what the WCO is. I think the WCO would be a good fit for someone who plays better in the crunch.

Giants fans are not considered a "race'.
Me thinks maybe the joke went right over your head.
BTW, it depends who your talkin too.
-
I have a woodie right now, just thinkin about it.
-
Never mind.
No, what do you mean, "YOU PEOPLE?" Huh??? Just because we are Giant fans, do we have to be treated differently? Im so sick of all the racist crap goin on in the world, ...you people. We are humans, just like the rest of population, I mean, just because of our color, BLUE, do we have to be referred to as..."YOU PEOPLE??"
-
Damn do all of you people come on here at the same time?
????
What do you mean?
-
Who would u rather have? Romo or Eli?
Right now, neither. Maybe Eli. I mean, Im just startin to trhink about jumpin off the Eli train, but at least he's shown for more than a couple games that he might be good long term. Romo has played about 7 games and did good in only 2 of them. I dont get why everyones on Romo's nuts so soon.
-
Not sure about all that, but one thing I have to say about Eli is that it was very, very disappointing to see him not make an effort at that ball that was on the turf after the botched snap. He didn't have any interest at all in throwing his body on it, and that's alarming. He just looks defeated. One thing you could always say about him is that he always gave an effort and never blamed anybody else. Now even he looks like it's all gotten to him. We are up Shit Creek.
I have been one of the biggest Eli supporters. He has shown great ability at times and much promise. Its early in his career, etc. But he's startin to woryy me. He looks like a retarded little kid with no energy. I agree w/ ya mickeef.
These Eagles think they're going to dominate now...
