  1. Well, there it is. Now no wondering what to do with Finn, we need a full back. Tell me, how scary is it that we may end up w/ a full back who's never dressed to this point?
  2. AWESOME! I loved Armstead.
  3. He didnt lose his job to Harrington, he got injured, and Harrington replaced him. Theres a difference. But were not here to argue that, its a matter of would Culpepper be a better backup than what we have. IMO, not better than Wright, but better than the rest. I actually like Lorenzen, but dont know to much about him. Havent seen him do anything but QB snaeaks. Better than Hasselbeck, but I like his genes and his experience as a backup. Also, w/o Moss, Daunte has been trash. Coincidence?? I dont know, but it concerns me. Wright has done a splendid job as a backup in Baltimore (eventually started) and in Dallas. So, I'd take him over Daunte at this point.
  4. Im startin to see the communication breakdown now, we are saying the same things and not realizing it. I misunderstood you guys, Treehugger and booyah. It sounds like youre saying that its partly Eli and partly coaching and the injuries. Thats what Im saying.
  5. But Tree, how do you know that if the team stayed healthy, that there would be no slump? I find it highly coincidental(its not IMO) that his slumps come when we go down to injury. Look how he played when we werent. I agree he has to be more consistent, but what makes him inconsistent? Him? Or alot to endure early on? I know you would say "Great QB's step up in those situations" They do, after they struggle, just like his bro.
  6. My bro comes thru....... Great post, exactly my thoughts, just worded better.
  7. No, Im just saying that Eli is not fully responsible, and that injuries, esp. as many as we had, can make a difference. Some things were Eli's fault, and some were just because we were in such dissarray. I am with you though...JUST WIN!
  8. ...and also, just because you are the QB and make the big bucks, doesnt mean you dont go thruough growing pains, ESPECIALLY when youre team gets raveged by injuries.

  10. LOL shut up egg, go back to the Cowgirlz page. booyah, youre not gettin it. Youre lettin your hatred of Eli cloud your thoughts. Hittin RB's in the feet outta the4backfiled? Sometimes. Hittin Toomer in the last seconds of the Bronco game PERFECTLY, startin out the Girlz and Egirlz game with perfectly thrown bombs to Toomer and Plax, commandering an offense that obliterated the Cowgilrz on Mon. night, leading a 17 point comeback to beat the Egirlz, and having the ability to see the defense and call an audible against the Cowgirlz in his 1st year to win the game? Yeah, he's shown us that too. Ya see, Im not sayin Eli is not accountable for ALL his actions, quite honestly, it was TOTALLY his fault for a couple of the throws he made against Tennesee, and I know he's made other, YOUNG QB mistakes. But youre actin like he has NO TALENT. Thats just absurd.
  11. See, and this is coming from a GIANT FAN!! Dude, Eli didnt have a midseason slump......THE GIANTS had a midseason slump. How can you not see that? A ton of injuries, esp. your most exp. OL, will make a young QB play bad. Peyton, Aikman and Elway played worse thier 1st 2 years and had healthy teams. Culpepper seems like a real good idea, but I question his sole ability. What I mean is, once Moss left, Culpepper stunk. So, was it Daunte, or was it Randy who was the one that made them good? We do have Plax, who is somewhat like Moss, so maybe it would work.

  13. I ask this question all the time? Why does anyone ask why we played so poorly at the end of last year? And I didnt mention any of those 3 as the injured players now, did I? Those 3, along with Eli, did a great job getting the lead, a depleted Defense helped lose the lead, and Im sure not having a healthy Oline and sp. teams players at WR didnt help the situation. C'mon, you got anything better than that weak attempt???
  14. Although it was fairly impressive...you make a good point.
  15. Its like Im listening to a broken record.
  16. LOL..I love when you try to sound like you told someone how it is.... OK, one more time for your dumass. So, you're tellin me, that it was nothing more than a draft blunder? Eli is just no good and Rivers is the best thing since Marino? I hope your not that stupid. No, it wasnt the team around him that made him throw the ball to Pacman, but it was the team around him that lost the big lead. When you have 11 starters out due to injury, things like that can happen. We arent saying Eli is thje best ever yet, but we are saying he's young. And no, Rivers wasnt throwin to Rice, Harrison etc, but he was throwin to Gates, and Tomlinson( Theres only ONE LT ya schmuck) and handing off to Tomlinson a gazillion times. He also had a top tier HEALTHY defense , that helps. As for the hint of people who had better passer ratings, its kinda like your boy, If you dont throw alot, you have the chance to obtain a higher passer rating than someone who does. Homo played what, 6 or 7 games? So he could have a better passer rating than someone who played all season, and it doesnt mean he was any better. He just didnt have as many opportunities to fuck up. And by the playoff games we witnessed against Seattle, he's gonna fuck up alot more!
  17. And no one is writing that Eli had as good a team as Rivers had around him. Dumass. Look, all Homo had to do was hold on to the ball. They had a retarded monkey doin it in practice just the day before, with no problems.
  18. Oh yeah, that pass was thrown perfectly, only the TE/WR coulda got that. And that pass from Wright.....IMPRESSIVE.
  19. LOL!!!! The caveman one......LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. ....and why are we putting so much stock into a fullback?? I mean, I know they can be more productive, but do we need that? Is that our most pressing concern? He does fine.
  21. Anyone hear that Paris Hilton is out of jail already???
  22. He's suddenly available because he was asked to take a pay cut, and said no. The Cards got some young guys that stepped up and challenged for the job.
  23. You beat me to this. I believe we should entertain the thought of him coming back. If this price is right, he would provide much needed depth to our Dline. (probably the area least needed, but D depth is great anywhere it is) HGe is familiar with the system and team, and was a pretty decent DT if I remember correctly. Well, hell, anything is decent compared to W. Joseph.
  24. No one went across the middle better, and no one was tougher, besides maybe our last 3 Tight Ends, and Cross is questionable on that one. (Luved Howard, just not as tough as Bavaro or Shock). I gotta say this again guys and gals, but he is THE NICEST GIANT PLAYER I have met in a long time. The guy went outta his way to sign stuff for me and my buddies, and when I had my son w/ me....fuggedaboutit! The guy would sign eveything my son had, talk to him, high five him....you get the picture. Met his wife, tailgated w/ her and some family friends in AZ once, Ike's a class act. :worshippy:
  25. LOL...Mowatt I know he was highly touted comin outta college, but this topic is referring to overrated Giant players, and as a Giant, I didnt think he even was considered. He didnt play long.
