  1. from the 1972 Dolphins and myself, Thank you Giants Thank you New York Thank you Eli Patriots-18-1* 1972-14-0 Congrats guys, you guys deserve it
  2. did you catch the 12 times Nick Saban said he wouldn't be the Alabama Head Coach?
  3. he's going to pull a Papelbon, watch and see
  4. yea, chump change for a pitcher of Santana's calibur
  5. As long as he's not in Boston, I'm fine with it
  6. Dear Omar Minaya, Please land Johan Santana...so Boston doesn't. Yours truly, Every Yankee fan
  7. aw But in reality, the Patriots don't even belong to Boston. Yea, Gilette Stadium is in the city, but there's a reason their called the New England Patriots. If you look at it like this, 16.6 percent Boston's...lame
  8. Ok, let's allow the expert to make some sense out of this. First off, we all know JJones wants his ring and won't stop to get him. If he feels Dfads is the one missing piece from the puzzle, then that's his guy (and the Arkansas ties don't hurt either.) For anyone who doesn't see why they're willing to dump Barber, Marion proved in the Division game that he is 2 back system Runningback, not a feature back. Sure, his second half drought could have been the result of an exhausted O-line, desperate playcalling, or the Gmen stepping it up on D, but at least some of it has to be attributed to Barber being worn out and needing to be spelled. That being said, as GreyHoodie said, the one positon Miami doesn't need help at is seemingly at RB. Everybody on my Dolphins board is freaking out about Ronnie Brown not being the same player he was before the injury because its an ACL. I personally think he'll be fine. I don't know if you guys remember, but through about 6 games, he lead the lead in yards from scrimmage with about 3 consecutive 200 yard games. The Rickster is a joke, and I expect nothing out of him aside from maybe a trade. They guy I'm looking at is 3rd round pick Lorenzo Booker. Did great catching but not much running. So yea, we could use Barber back there, especially because he and Brown are very different backs. On top of all that, none of the "elite" prospects this year fit Miami's system. If Tuna wants a 3-4, Dorsey's services won't be maximized because its difficult to interrupt the line from that position and he'd be a slow DE. Chris Long doesn't fit the size requirements for BP. There's no point in getting Dfads because of this trade scenario, leaving Jake Long and Matt Ryan. Ryan my be good, but I don't think anybody believes he's worthy of the first overall selection, and from what I've been hearing, Miami doesn't want to shell out 60 million for an OT that's never played a down. I'll take the 2 firsts, 2nd, and a 1st or 2nd and 3rd next year along with Barber, Bobby Carpenter (another name I've heard) or another player, in return for the pick. Please remember that I hate the Dallas franchise as much as any of you, so I want to rape them in this deal. If we don't trade: As of January 27, 2008, I want Jake Long. (if we keep the 4-3, Dorsey for sure...not that any of you guys care about Miami opinion lol)
  9. yea, I always root for the Mets and Giants as well. But you know there's always those chauvinist pricks who feel like traitors for doing something like that
  10. If Jets fans are anything like Miami fans- New England is public enemy number one. And even if all the Jets fans in NY were pulling for NE, Bills fans would be pro-Giant anyway
  11. Boy do I miss this guy. He never did much until his final year in Miami, where he lead the team with about 670 yards. When I heard NE was trading a 2nd rounder and a 7th for him, it was unbelievable. Who gives that much for a slot receiver? A year later, I'd say the trade ended up being equal. Obviously he does better things with a better QB. And I've been maintaining all year, I could catch 100 passes in the NE offense

  13. that's an accomplishment when you consider Miami won 1 game on the road all season and NYG won 3 consecutively against good teams
  14. Ricky hadn't played contact football for 8 months. Cam thought it was a good idea to play him 3 days after getting reinstated on Monday Night vs. the Steelers in the most pitiful game in recent history. Beck looked decent in his first 2 starts- 0 TDs, but 0 INTs as well, and I'd rather see that than 5 TDs and 12 INTs. The O sucks, withered once we traded Chambers. I'd like to pick up Joe Flacco or Eirik Ainge somewhere in the 3rd or 4th round for at least some competition. Miami's my team, but one of my best friends is a Giants fan, so I always root for the Gmen, and I especially hate the Cowboys, absolutely despise them. I'm hoping to rape Dallas in a potential trade down- 2 firsts this year, a second, a first next year, and Bobby Carpenter sounds good to me and those flamers can take Mcfadden anyday of the week
  15. jesus...pain doesn't describe it. My sig is the best way of expressing it. They say we were the best 1-15 team in history because we lost like 6 games by 3 points, but not many 1-15 teams were too good. Cam was terrible on a week to week basis. My the time the season was over, 8 of our day one starters were on IR plus god knows how many safeties we went through, the entire Ricky Williams fiasco was just a laughing stock- 6 carries, 15 yards and a torn pec for the year- not to mention that SOPCAST stopped carying Phin games after week 6, so living in NJ, I didn't see any games except for the London game and the two vs the Jets. Midyear when all my NYG fans were complaining about Eli sucking it up, all I do was look at them with a solemn look and bow my head. Kurt Warner in 04 does not compare to a season of Cleo Lemon. In other words.... can't wait for 08
  16. 32 belongs to us ...anyone know if that's still considered a first round pick, or the first pick of the 2nd round?
  17. I'm talking about what he did for the Yanks, like only what RW did in your one example in the game. Boone- .254 BA, 48 hits, 6 HR, 31 RBI, 30 K to 11 BB in 189 at bats i rest my case
  18. I said that to myself the other day. This Superbowl seems like 2001 when the Rams were major favorites and New England came out of nowhere
  19. and the only thing Aaron Boone did for an entire season was hit 1 big home run for the Yankees over Boston, but look what happened to him (regardless of his basketball aspirations)
  20. not to mention the fumble after the interception was priceless...
  21. guess this is appropriate...little late but still fun
  22. if Aquib Talib is there, he's your man. I don't know if he'd fall that far, but I'd love if Miami got him with the 32 pick
