Thank you jim. It's been a good season for me. I have been to so many great games this year, that I began to feel a little spoiled. I was there for most of the good, but none better than the marathon game against the Mets. That was a game I will never forget. The NLE clincher on Saturday was more than fabulous. Taking abuse from you guys was not so bad, mainly because in the end, my team came out on top. None of the smack was THAT bad and frankly....I can take it. Being a Phillies fan here (where I live) is easy but being a GIANTS fan...not so. If I am bold enough a fan to wear a GIANTS jersey to Lincoln Financial Field, for an Eagles game...trust me, I can take anything. GO PHILS!!

Not at the moment. Thank you all for your congrats. Being there to see them win the title yesterday was a dream come true, and a bet I banked on in February that paid off in spades!

Thank you, 86. It was a fight to the end, just like we all expect from these great teams. I was at the game yesterday...and my throat still hurts from the yelling. Going into the stadium and seeing the Mets score on the board, added the pressure for sure. I am sure the fans felt it and I know the players did. It was a nailbiter at the end...but it ended perfectly with that amazing double play.

....even after Brett Myers tried to open the door for you... and personally escort you to the top.

Nice to see someone is able to put their heart aside and reason with their head. Aside from that Manny statement. Frankly, my answer was not purely based on my love for the Phillies or Ryan Howard, but more on the statement made about how stats get you the MVP award. Hate him or not, Ryan Howard leads BOTH leagues with his numbers. What good does an impressive batting average do if you don't have the things that count like RBI's and HR? Sure Howard spent alot (too much,IMO) of time striking out and not being the producer he is supposed to be. All you Delgado fans know he spent his share of time on the non productive side.

I did not say "stepping it up". It depends on the caliber of the team. Two good teams-we did not get totally beat. That is "stepping up". What's with 3-4, anyway? We went 4-4 against the Dodgers. :brooding: I wouldn't be a Mets fan. but hey...that's just me.

True. We did lose 2 (although we should have won them) out of the 4 game series. The Dodgers were not in the slump that they are currently in, prior to playing us and the Cubs are considered the best team in baseball.(not my words)

Seems we step up for teams like the Dodgers and Cubs....and can't seem to beat the crappy Nats. :brooding:
