  1. pulling out all the stops = signing a receiver with 35 catches to a contract larger than Plaxico Burress's. pulling out all the stops = overpaying and giving up 2 prospects for an unproven number 2 that makes the occasional amazing catch. pulling out all the stops = signing a tight end that averages 25 catches a year and is old pulling out all the stops = overpaying for Adam Archuleta. those signings make me glad I'm a Giants fan and not a Skins fan, personally.
  2. they publicly announce all their signings at once...normally...i think it's a policy thing...
  3. no offense man, but you are slow.
  4. The Sam Madison's as opposed to the Barry Stokes...
  5. what was all that shit about the internal conflict between the coaching staff and front office? I was scratching my head at that 3-4 comment. It was in the KFFL article...
  6. 4 million is easily maneuverable around. You just sign them to longer contracts (which would be ideal for someone like Rocky Bernard or Will Demps)...
  7. it has nothing to do with that, lol. why are you even bringing it up? he said 'this is an abnormal situation'. Not we are handling this abnormally or 'hmm what can be done to make this situation abnormal'...the signings were already done when he made the comment and he's right, we have an abnormal situation at CB. but since you asked, i would still draft a CB in round 1 or 2.
  8. and Randle El at most will be a #3...i dont see him beating out Brandon Lloyd...
  9. yah, i know what you're saying man.
  10. i dont think he mentioned anything about the way the giants are 'handling' the situation. It's more the fact we have an aging starting cb, a cb that is coming off injury and might not be able to return, a sophomore, and a bunch of backups...the situation is definitely weird.
  11. it's more like our CB situation isn't what one would call 'ideal'...
  12. good ole NCAT....sound like some kind of entrance/aptitude test...
  13. yet, we have gotten 3 decent players for the price of one Antwaan Randle El. That's good enough for me .
  14. yah i was going to mention that, he's a beast.
  15. I don't know about that, chief. I also don't know about this whole filling in Webster as a starter solely because we have some 'obligation' due to the fact he's a second round pick. He has a good training camp/preseason, I will be singing a different tune.
  16. that is definitely true...i have to grudgingly admit that...he downright sucked at times though.
  17. there's no reason he deserves trading away two future prospects AND the money, though...
  18. no offense man, but last time I checked EA was a general manager. I'm guessing he really doesnt attend many practices either. With that being said, how can EA believe this when he saw him in games get burnt left and right to the point where Tom Coughlin signed Terrell Buckley and put in Corey Webster to replace him...
  19. yah but why slate a second year player as starting CB before you have a chance to evaluate his progress? that makes no sense at all. Nothing says you have to start a player because he was a second round pick...I dont get EA's 'logic' either, especially sicne Deloatch sucks donkey dick. When you have better veteran players on a team that is built to win now, you need to start them. Depending on Will Peterson's condition our starters at this point should be Will Peterson and Sam Madison with RW at nickel and Webster at dime. Deloatch shouldnt even be in the NFL.
  20. Will Peterson and Sam Madison should be our starters with RW at nickel and Corey Webster at dime, as it stands now. Come training camp and preseason is when Webster will either A. make a run or B. stay at dime...but as of now, there's no reason Corey Webster should be slated as a starting CB for us.
  21. wait, i was under the impression R.W. was a starter last year...? Why would he be dime here...? We have a shitty secondary...
  22. yah, from the description he sounded like a Shaun Williams type player...big hitter, good in run support...slow and average in coverage...
  23. yah, I meant to ask you if you thought Mcquarters would be playing nickel or starting over Webster...I would have to think that it would depend on how well Corey Webster does in camp and such...and I guess it would also depend on how we draft in the first... Could the signing of one of those 2 DTs signify that we will go LB in the draft...? Especially if we dont pick up Arrington?
  24. that would be insane. btw, why are these guys so worked up about the skins overpaying and giving up a 2 prospects(B. Lloyd) for 4 mediocre players?
  25. why is everyone so worried? Not one of those signings is big time. Didnt they pick up Clinton Portis and Lavernaeus Coles in the same year?
