  1. why couldnt we have resigned him for that?
  2. Just wait. If you think that he isn't going to help them then you are fooling yourself.
  3. Andy Reid is the Jim Fassel of the Eagles.
  4. TO is a great player and will only improve the Cowboys. Do you really think there isnt some clause in his new contract that if he acts up or speaks out against the team that he loses money or is automatically benched? If you think that, you are retarded. This signing is very scary. Especially considering they let go of Keyshawn to do it...that's like saying we don't give a shit about him because TO is coming in here and he's going to be a football player.
  5. their WRs coming out of college were very similar though, is what I'm saying. They were all highly scouted and drafted high and the Lions WRs definitely have some potential. I just think Harrington was in a bad position with WRs who couldn't catch, the worst front office in the league, and a pretty bad coaching staff (though they got most of the blame for the front offices failures).
  6. True, blogs arent generally very realiable unless they come directly from the horses mouth.
  7. well Houston offered a 4th...but anyway, you're right, he has no trade value to speak of, but it's not to say the Giants would ever trade away a starter for something that small...there's no benefits for either side, really. Giants would lose a starter with no replacement and the team that traded for him would pick up an overpaid, but suitable tackle that is injured 5 games a year.
  8. I just think Arizona is a defense away from going somewhere.
  9. Amani Toomer could not play #3, first of all. Second, we'd be trading in one aging, no upside player for another with little to no drop off in talent in production. Amani Toomer put up similar numbers as Keyshawn as a #2, there's no reason to pick up a 33 year old WR that isn't that good anymore and who has no upside. It would be a completely stupid signing and I really hope it doesnt happen.
  10. uhh no. what do you not understand about it? the giants would never do that, it's not worth it at all. No other team would give up more, of course, but the Giants would never trade him for a 4th round pick. It's stupid. Try reading all the posts, and you'd understand.
  11. true, Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin are definitely better at this point...the Detroit receiver sure have a ton of potential though.
  12. yah, especially when you got a guy that is slated to be a starter...as proven by free agency so far, the Giants org. believes the team is built to win this year...there's no way Luke Petitgout would be dealt for anything less than a 2nd rounder, it really is insane.
  13. the Cardinals do have the benefits of having a decent coaching staff...but their offense and especially offensive personnel is eerily similar to Detroits...
  14. i think at some point you have to ask yourself if it's worth it...or at least I hope the Giants organization does...I mean, you'd be losing a starter for a 4th round pick that probably wouldn't pan out.
  15. I personally think he would have done a lot better anywhere else but the Lions...meaning he should be starting somewhere else...eventually.
  16. for sure, i dont think you'll have to worry about TO 'ruining' this team, either...they are a completely different team than the Eagles. This signing makes me way more nervous than when he signed with the Eagles, mainly because Drew Bledsoe can actually throw to WRs... However, I can't see any reason any of those players are any better than what we currently have with Shockey, Plax, Amani, Tiki, and Eli...we've just had this combination a lot longer (exception of Plax) than the Cowboys have.
  17. umm you said his athletic ability 'doesn't mean shit'... but anyway, all of you are disillusioning yourselves if you think TO isnt going to help the Cowboys. I guarantee that Bill Parcells and the Cowboys don't let TO do what he did in Philly.
  18. he has 716 career receptions for over 10,000 yards and 100 TDs. Wtf are you smoking?
  19. are you kidding? Terrel Owens had like 6 good seasons in San Francisco.
  20. that's been the debate since day one, man...the front office is pushing for him but the coaches dont want him...
  21. I would be outraged at this signing. There is no reason to ever start Keyshawn Johnson over Amani Toomer.
  22. uhh am i missing something? how is this proof that we arent going to get Lavar Arrington? The only thing I even saw on that page was that the Bengals have 'entered the Arrington chase'...
  23. no, but that was the point of what you posted, right?
  24. I consider Kerry Collins to be "career scapegoat." Especially considering he had one the best seasons of his career last season.
