  1. I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill, but this is the type of thing that can really hurt an organization long-term as well. If you're a player, do you want to go to Philadelphia knowing that putting your body on the line every day might result in your team losing on purpose? If you're a guy looking for a one year, "prove it" deal, why would you go there if you may be pulled due to your success in the final game? If you're a coach, do you want to go there knowing the front office may ask you to lose? What if the public backlash forces Lurie to fire Pederson? What other coach would give fellatio to a water bottle like he does? This could be a real shitstorm.
  2. Honestly, I'd love if we swapped picks with the Niners or the Pats if there's a QB there that either team likes, and picked up an extra 2nd or 3rd. Use the extra pick to grab a guy like Marquez Stevenson... for my money, he's the most "Odell-like" WR in the draft. In the third or maybe second, I love me some Pat Freiermuth... his nickname is "Baby Gronk." Probably should be taken in the 2nd but is having offseason shoulder surgery so he might still be there in the 3rd. Tamorrion Terry also intrigues me but he reminds me a little too much of Ramses Barden.
  3. I'm not sure who was calling the plays/personnel, but these past six weeks or so I've had a real problem with the "give Gallman a series, give Morris a series" stuff. Gallman gets hit and can still fight for 3, where Morris gets hit and that's more or less the end of his run. I get that Gallman isn't a world-class runner... but when he gets you eight on first down... and is averaging six a clip... I think he deserves at least another run that series. It's not like we needed to preserve his legs for next season or something.
  4. So are the Giants still closet racists for passing on Haskins and drafting Jones?
  5. Honestly, I'm hoping we trade this guy just to move up a few spots with our 2nd round pick back into the 1st round. I fucking hate Evan Engram.
  6. I said in another thread... we don't know what's going on behind closed doors... it's possible the Mara's told Getty "win with Eli now" his first two years. In that case, he's actually in year one of the rebuild. It's been slow. The roster is better than the 2017 roster though. There are some really good FAs that we can build around, we have at least two starters on the OL, the D-line and defensive backfield looks good. We have a top-end LB finally. I think he deserves another year. Stability is good.
  7. I like him the best of the "top tier" pass rushers in the draft.
  8. So now what do you guys say? I still think I'd give him one more year, unless Judge really wants "his guy" in here.
  9. There are plenty of good WRs in this draft, and one will be there at #11. I'm happy with BPA though.
  10. Yes. They did almost everything I had wanted. This isn't a playoff team no matter what happens tonight and it wasn't reasonable to expect that out of this group. I had hoped that during the second half of the season we'd start to beat the bottom feeders, maybe beat a team better than us, have good coaching, and see Jones make the next step. Three out of those four things happened, and I'm very content with that. I think the coaching staff in particular is excellent.
  11. Eagles offense coming alive. Looks like they're about to go ahead.
  12. Daniel Jones is not showing me anything.
  13. Can we just hand off to Gallman every play?
  14. I'll tell you what, he doesn't play small. That string bean motherfucker will block downfield. I'm definitely still worried though... pro ball is a different game.
  15. LOL I wasn't necessary talking about you. I think there was some guy on here too that kept insisting that Sinorice Miss and Ramses Barden were going to break out this season... can't remember who that guy was though.
  16. I love him but I'm really worried about that thin frame. You can't really send a guy like that across the middle.
  17. This is all true, but honestly, it's better shape than we've been in for a while. Let's not forget a few years ago we were wondering how we'd replace Markus Kuhn and John Jerry. I think the situation you described is one that most teams are in. Sign a few quality free agents and have a good draft and that covers up many of these worries. Of course that's a big "if," and I'm not necessarily sure Gettleman is the man for the job.
  18. I think this too. If we have a top-3 pick I'd even be ok with picking up that Peen Sewer kid who plays LT. Looks like a beast.
