Given our FA signings, I don't see a TE or WR being a pressing need.   I do see OT and LB/DE being the top so Slater or Parson would be great in Round 1.

I'm not concerned about TE but there's still some concern for WR with me. 1st... if KG misses time for any reason this WR Corps is just as stagnant as it was the last 2 years. 2nd as much as I dont want to believe it, Shep is probably getting released next offseason as he would save us around $10M. So unless we're absolutely positive that Slayton is the guy, AND Ross comes back to the form that made him a 1st round pick we need to make a move at WR within the first 4 rounds.

    All seem like good players.

What's the deal with Carlos Basham? His production, workouts, and profile seem like that of a 1st rounder, but most mocks have him falling to rounds 2-3. Seems like he could be a steal there.

Gonna be real... I have no idea. My cousin brought him to my attention and after watching highlights and seeing where he was being mocked I was on board.

  3. Scenario A: Rd 1 - Micah Parsons (LB Penn St.), Rd 2 - Wyatt Davis (OG OSU), Rd 3 - Collins (WR Mich)/ St. Brown (WR USC), Rd 4-6 - BPA

Scenario B: Rd 1 - Rashawn Slater (OL Northwestern), Rd 2 - Chazz Surratt (LB UNC)/Carlos Basham Jr. (Edge WF), Rd 3 - See above

Scenario C: Rd 1 - Jaylen Waddle (WR Bama), Rd 2 - Wyatt Davis (OG OSU), Rd 3 - BPA

Scenario D: Rd 1 - Trade back to 15-20 picking up an extra 2nd... Rashad Bateman (WR Minn), Rd 2 - Davis (OG OSU) and Surratt (LB UNC), Rd 3 - BPA

My #1 player is Ja'Marr Chase and if he falls to 11 idc who else is on the board... I want him in a NYG Uniform, but that's kinda unrealistic so these are my backup wishes.

Rudolph admitted that during a interview today, Judge sold him on the team.

Sure money has something to do with it but these guys Golladay, Jackson, Williams they want to play for Judge.

This team this program the culture sure has changed by hiring a guy no one thought we would hire.

When we hired Judge I thought and said "who the fuck is that???" 1 introductory press conference later and I wanted to run through a wall for him myself.

Shows you what I know. I didn't even know we had an Abrams. :LMAO:

Lmao don't quote me on that. Idk for sure how he does his job but he's a holdover from the Reese era. I've just heard he's the number cruncher that gets DG's contracts under the cap.

If the big three WRs and Pitts are all gone (and somebody like Sewell isn't somehow still there) I think this is what you do. I wouldn't hate Slater in that spot though either.

I think our pick is completely unpredictable until our 3-day visit with Adoree Jackson is over. Without him Surtain has to be in play as well. And even if the top 3 WRs are all gone (which I seriously doubt) there will still be guys like Bateman, Marshall Jr, Stevenson, Collins, and Surrat (sp).

Interesting. I'll have to watch more youtube videos, being the nerd I am.

I'm bringing him up solely as a backup option. Im still firmly on the Chase bandwagon and Smith looks like Beckham. If either falls to us I want them.

  8. Terrance Marshall WR from LSU. I had forgotten about him cause I've been on the Ja'Marr Chase bandwagon for at least a year and Davonte Smith really caught my attention. Marshall opted out mid-season but he's a huge target at 6'4". Something we haven't had here in a meaningful capacity since Plax.

    EDIT: "Terrace" Marshall

This is a fair point and one that until recently I've agreed with, but what about Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert? Jones keeps  making the same mistakes over again... locking onto receivers, turnovers, no pocket awareness.

He's had a really bad O-line and his best WR and RB have been out. I've been giving him the benefit of the doubt until now but like I've said, he has to turn the corner before the end of the season. The O-line is finally playing well and the running game has been better than adequate the past two weeks. The time for excuses is over.

Right now the problems from September 2019 are the same problems from November 2020. That has to change (and for the record, I really like the Jones and hope it does).

What I'll say in response to this is, I believe Shurmur's offense allowed Jones to hide his deficiencies better. This may be a Mandela effect on my part but I remember there being a stat last year where he was getting the ball out faster than every other QB in the NFL... part by necessity and part due to play design.

Idk... I guess I'm just tired of being ass and instead of hoping for a changing of the guard I'm hoping what we have now can succeed.

I think we need one game in which the D actually shits the bed, and DJ can put the team on his back with no running game and actually keep us competitive if not outright win the game. If that happens, that flips a lot of switches and things start improving in every department. Until then itll always looks like quicksand.

But Ive not given up on DJ - he seems like he has the mental makeup to be a QB in NYC, has all the tools, excellent running the ball, strong enough arm for the NFL, can make every throw, has zip and touch, can throw on the run - everything. Just that every time 1 mental error costs us the game. Not a single game this entire season has been a blow-out - maybe the 1st Steelers game thats it. If only 1-2 things went our way we could be 6-2 or some shit. The division is still up for grabs. This weeks Philly game is an absolute must win.

I actually did the math while debating my cousin earlier this week. If you subtract the SF game, which was the only total shitshow for us so far this year, our losses are by an average of 4.66 points which includes the 10 point loss to Pittsburgh.

The questions are 1... are we a bad team or a team that just doesn't know how to win yet? And 2... what happened between 2019 and 2020 that caused DJ to decline the way he has?

Imo for the 2nd question it's a combo of transitioning from Shurmur's WCO to Garrett's scheme, DJ's own lack of pocket awareness and slow progressions, skill position players that create little to no separation, and OL growing pains.

I don't think that was the Mara game.  We kicked the shit out of the skins in the Mara game like 35 to 7 or some shit, but Tiki's final year, it was like the 2nd to last game of the year and we were, if I remember correctly, fighting for a playoff spot with the Eagles the last week.  Tiki single handedly won that game.

Final game of the 06 season. It was Tiki's last regular season game. Ran for something like 234 and 3 TDs. He was a monster and although I think he had to leave for Eli to grow into the eventual 2X Super Bowl MVP QB he became, part of me wishes it was a backfield of Barber, Jacobs and Bradshaw in 07.

  12. As per Schefter 2 contingency plans have been set up in case of Covid causing an issue with the NFL season. 1st if there's a chance the season will be delayed by around 2 months the first half of the season will just be moved to the latter half assuming the Super Bowl can be pushed back. 2nd, if the NFL feels they won't be able to play a full 16 game season they'll attempt 14 by moving weeks 1 and 2 to the end of the season and dropping weeks 3 and 4. Not sure how bye weeks play into any of this cause they didn't say anything about it on the radio but at least the NFL is on top of things.

    Fun fact.

According to PFF Hernandez played every single snap this year on offence.

Know how many sacks he's accredited for giving up?

    Zero.

    Not bad for a "bust"

PFF also has Dwayne Haskins rated as a better QB than Daniel Jones.

I'm hoping Hernandez proves me wrong, but Sunday was horrific. And again... I'm singling him out because I expected him to be way better than he's played.
