4 days later too.  They might just stay out there.  Thank god az will suck

I think this is what's happening. Which eliminates 1 west coast trip. The problem is the week we play Vegas and then Dallass. Do we come back home then?

Assuming we stay healthy and keep the brainfarts to an absolute minimum I can see us getting through this at 11-6.

The Dallass opener is a lot more appealing than I originally thought as they're changing coordinators. AZ is ass and Murray should still be out so... who's their QB? SF is gonna be rough, but the mini-bye before Seattle should be enough to help us get a win. Miami and Buffalo are gonna be rough, but Washington and the Jets are winnable. We should stomp the Raiders and probably lose to Dallass in Dallas, and then after that we HAVE to win those next 4 games prior to the Christmas game in Philly.

If we split with Dallass, take AZ, Seattle, sweep Washington, beat the Jets, Raiders, Pats, GB, Saints, and Rams... that's 11 right there with the possibility of Philly resting players in week 18.

  2. Lol oddly enough I set this up as favorably as I could think up for us. All the road divisional games in the first half of the schedule, SF before the bye so we don't have to deal with them in a playoff push and I wanted to end the season with Washington, but crushing Dallass' playoff hopes would feel so much better. The problem is our opponents on paper are tough as hell so there's no real easy way to schedule this.

  3. I'd been thinking about my ideal schedule all night in between bouts of dying at this desk. This is what I came up with.

Week 1 Jets @ Giants MNF (it just makes sense. Season opener on 9/11... both teams on the rise)

Week 2 Giants @ Commodore Commandos

    Week 3 Giants @ Dolphins

    Week 4 Packers @ Giants

    Week 5 Giants @ Dallass 4:25 game

    Week 6 Giants @ Saints

    Week 7 Rams @ Giants

    Week 8 Giants @ 49ers SNF

Week 9 Commodore Commandos vs Giants

    Week 10 BYE

Week 11 Giants @ Eagles TNF (Cause u know it's gonna happen)

    Week 12 Giants @ Raiders

    Week 13 Patriots @ Giants

Week 14 Giants @ Bills SNF or MNF (cause u know that game will be prime time)

    Week 15 Seahawks @ Giants

    Week 16 Eagles @ Giants

    Week 17 Giants @ Cardinals

Week 18 Dallass @ Giants SNF

  4. 4 for 6 on 1st rounders... McKinney... Made the trade that landed us Kayvon as we would've drafted Neal at 5 if we didn't have the 2nd 1st rounder...

I'll give DG credit where it's due, but im still not forgiving him for DeAndre Baker, only managing 1 good offensive lineman in 4 drafts, his shit coaching hires, nor his inability to adapt and grow with the league. Not as bad as Reese to me, but still pretty terrible.

  5. Was being an ass and restarting the sim until at least one of the CBs fell to me at 25 and thankfully it was the one I wanted... again.

25: Joey Porter Jr. CB Penn St.

    57: Steve Avila C/OG TCU

89: Eli Ricks CB Bama (doubled up cause who knows what happens with Adoree Jackson post 2023 season)

    128: DeMarvion Overshown LB Texas

    160: Isaiah McGuire EDGE MIZZOU

172: Andrei Iosivas WR Princeton (homer pick... just rooting for the guy.)

209: Jalen Green S Miss St

    240: Malik Cunningham QB L'Ville

    243: DeWayne McBride RB UAB

    254: Justin Shorter WT UF

Tbh... I think we're trading up. For who? I have no idea, but we can't actually make all these picks. Not enough roster spots.

I doubled up at CB because after Adoree, Williams and Robinson can't seem to stay healthy, and Flott (while I saw some good out of him) is undersized. If Jackson isn't extended after this season I'd rather already have his replacement on the roster. After Yoshi (Iosivas) everything was just me selecting names and/or positions.

but then CB (not Forbes but the name escapes me at the moment).

Gonzalez, Witherspoon, Porter Jr, Deonte Banks, Cam Smith (hearing character concerns), Kelee Ringo (eh...) Clark Phillips, DJ Turner (from Michigan... ran sub 4.3 40), Tyrique Stevenson, Eli Ricks, J. Bennett are the names I'm the most familiar with in the 1st 3 rounds.

Tippman in the 3rd? Hmm that a little low. Especially some mocks have him going in the first.

None of it is an exact science. Hell, Schrager had Jonathan Mingo going in the 1st in his mock and I haven't seen this guy earlier than day 3.

  8. Tbh, the Tippmann pick was me taking the best available C at the time and that's just how the board fell. I have my eye on literally 8 different guys we can take at C. It's the same with the Porter pick. He's my ideal pick (unless by some miracle, Gonzalez or Witherspoon drop to 25), but I seriously doubt he'll be there.

Would love Porter in the 1st but don't see that happening.  Highly doubt he goes below 20 and I don't want to trade up for anyone this year.

Tippman is a guy I have an eye on too.  Love the idea of IOL in 1st 3 rds.

Byron Young is a guy that site has ranked low but I think that might be wrong.  If he is there, absolutely take him.

Late round RB I like is the cat out of Minnesota...Ibrahim.

All that said, like your postion choices except I think S and backup QB should be sprinkled in.

Idt Porter gets by Washington, and if he does Pittsburgh is right there and that story writes itself.

For S I'm keeping an eye on my guy from Florida State, Jammie Robinson.

I was thinking grab a project QB but the only one I'm looking at in that role would be Dorian Thompson-Robinson from UCLA and someone took him.

  10. I completed this last night while I was at work. I once again used Pro Football Network's simulator as PFF is full of shit for hiding theirs behind a pay wall. Admittedly the simulator went a bit off the rails and I don't expect to get some of who I selected without trading up, but here we go...

25: Joey Porter Jr. CB Penn St. 6'2" 193lbs

    57: Cedric Tillman WR Tennessee 6'3" 213lbs

    89: Joe Tippmann C Wisconsin 6'6" 313lbs

    128: Henry To'o To'o LB Alabama 6'1" 227lbs

    160: Kenny McIntosh RB Georgia 6'0" 204lbs

    172: Andrei Iosivas (Yo-shi-vash) WR Princeton 6'3" 205lbs

209: Thomas Incoom EDGE Central Michigan 6'2" 262lbs

    240: Byron Young DT Alabama 6'3" 294lbs

    243: Bumper Pool LB Arkansas 6'2" 235lbs

254: Caleb Murphy EDGE 6'3" 254lbs Ferris St

After a certain point I was just picking names at positions I feel we need to improve, especially since I don't believe we're gonna make all 10 picks. I'm keeping an eye on the 2 small school guys in the mock (Iosivas and Murphy). Iosivas was a gamer, albeit at an Ivy League school and Murphy recorded 25 sacks this passed season. Gimme 1/3 of that on a regular basis and I'd be ecstatic.

Anyway... lmk what you guys think.

  11. Was gonna post a YouTube video a content creator did explaining the different types of fieldturf and why ours sucked so much but I think he made it private. Can't find it anymore.

Basic premise was that the turf we were using has slits in the individual blades of artificial grass which would cause cleats to get stuck.

Either way it goes, thanks to the World Cup we'll be playing on natural grass by 2026 no matter what anyone says.

even if you adjust those to current numbers, it’s hard to get that successful of a haul.

I'll add to that. 2005 draft was Webster, Tuck, and Jacobs, with our UDFAs including James Butler and Chase Blackburn. And he didn't contribute for us, but we also got Ryan Grant here and had to go through him in GB in Jan 08.
