  1. Yerrrr. Once again I am using Pro Football Network's simulator and I am ONLY controlling the Giants so the picks I make are based off of our needs as well as whether the Sim screws up or screws me over. No trades whatsoever.

    5. Evan Neal OT Alabama (he's been my #1 since I started looking towards this draft. Fills an immediate need at RT and a massive upgrade over who's currently on the roster)

    7. Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner CB Cincinnati (Seriously doubt Bradberry is still in blue around the time of the draft. Here's his replacement)

    36. Jaquan Brisker S Penn St (and here's Logan Ryan's and Jabril Peppers')

    67. Cameron Thomas Edge SDSU (seriously hated waiting until the 3rd to address the Edge but --->)

    81. Kingsley Enagbare Edge South Carolina (I'm double dipping here to make up for it. These guys join a group of young edge rushers that could grow to wreak havoc on an offense).

    112. Cade Otton TE Washington (we cannot go into the season with RSJ as our only TE. If I'd allowed myself trades I would've addressed this sooner, but we have too many holes of a higher priority on the roster).

    147. Cade Mays OG Tennessee

(Speaking of which... Mays should provide a valuable depth piece that could potentially work his way into the starting lineup).

    173. Zamir White RB Georgia

(trying to justify this pick when you see there are 5 RBs in our stable might be tough, but I just like what this kid brings to the table).

    182. Kyle Phillips WR UCLA (this was a toss-up between Phillips and SMU's Danny Gray, but Phillips' return ability tipped the scales for me.

What if we traded Jones and a 3rd for Faker Mayfield, then drafted Neal or Ekwonu in the first and Zion Johnson in the second, along with Kayvon Thibodaux? Do you think we could be a 500 team this season?

I am in no way saying we should do this or that it's possible (I think Mayfield is a punk bitch and we have no cap room) but it just popped into my head this morning.

I doubt Zion makes it to the 2nd now. Dude showed off at the Senior Bowl and has been rising ever since. Ppl saying he's over Linderbaum now.

That being said I wouldn't want Baker anywhere near this team.

What about that Asian dude that played for the Broke Backs on defense... forgot his name.

    Dat Nguyen I think...

Anyway lemme throw my name in the hat. I'll take a coaching spot.

  4. Thats why it's a dream scenario. Lol. Even if it isn't Neal there are other prospects like Cross from Miss. St. or Ekwonu from NC State that should be available in the teens (although Ekwonu is being viewed as a OG... we need that too).

  5. Right now we're sitting at at 5 and 6 in the draft. Originally I wanted to grab Hutchinson and Neal but with Hutch playing like he wants to go #1 overall that may not be a possibility, so if I'm in the GM seat this is how I'm playing this draft (and next).

Disclaimer: this is all based on how things keep falling in my PFN Mocks

    5: Evan Neal OT Alabama

6: trade into the teens picking up someone's 1st next year and take Linderbaum or David Ojabo (preferably Linderbaum if he's available.

2nd and 3rd Rd picks: I want to come away with at least 1 OG and 1 Edge here regardless of what we do in the 1st. My OG targets are Zion Johnson (BC) and Lecitus Smith (VT). If we go Ojabo instead of Linderbaum in the first I also want to look at a C here like Patterson (ND) or Lindstrom (BC).

4th-7th: fill out Edge, DT, LB, CB, OG with BPA (looking at Emil Ekiyor OG Alabama around here to keep some consistency with the Neal pick)

Next year we roll with Jones (pending health) and a vet backup that isn't Mike Glennon.

2023 draft: If Jones doesn't put up pro bowl numbers, cut our losses and put together whatever package is necessary to move up to #1 and take Bryce Young.

Pipedream? Maybe, but as numb as I am to this team right now, I'm honestly tired of being the doormat of the division. Tired of our fans being outnumbered in our own stadium. Tired of just being ass in general.

    Let's get this shit fixed.

Winning against the Panthers was the worst thing that could have happened this season. Now we've missed the trade deadline and we're still only going to win 4 games.

This team continually finds all new ways to disappoint.

Trade deadline is today isn't it?

See I feel the opposite, if you have him on a limited carry type of thing then his body isnt getting used to being tired or getting hit.

I would expect though if he's ready to go the Giants have done everything they can to ensure he's ready.

Plus I assume he's going to be "limited" in the sense that he wont tote the rock 25+ times a game.

In a normal situation I'd say the same thing, but the Washington game is a Thursday night game and far more important than Denver. I'd rather he be ready for that than a non-conference game.

I'm surprised at just how down the football world is on the Giants.

I don't expect contention, but I think it's more likely they'll contend than Judge will be the first coach fired.

Professional overreacting. I honestly think if the OL can gel and become a semi competent unit this team wins 10 and the division.

  9. I dont like Barkley starting week 1 unless he's on a major pitch count. We have a division game 3 days later. I'd rather let him loose there with a long week before we play again to make sure he's good.

not a one Sunday night football appearance? how about that. The league must have very low expectations for the team this year, that's pretty unusual for a draw like the Giants to not get a SNF game.

It is strange but the flex potential is absolutely there with 5 of our 6 divisional games coming after the bye.

Here's my mock from back in February, I think it's still somewhat in the wheel house the Giants do. WR/OL/Edge/RB/OL/Skill position.

Round 1) Jaylen Waddle, 'Bama WR.

Eventhough Smith might be sitting there the Giants skip him for his counterpart on the other side of the field.

Garrett loves the big play making WRs and Waddle fits the mold.

Injury concern is there but face it the Giants will never have a WR finish a healthy career.

Round 2) Samuel Cosmi OL/OT, Texas.

Big bull dozing tackle that can start day one at RT. Would allow the Giants to try Peart out along the line at different spots.

Round 3) Quincey Roche DE/LB, Miami.

Solid OLB/DE pass rusher and run stopper. Needs to add some pounds to his frame but Graham will find a way to utilize the kids speed.

Round 4) Javonte Williams RB, Carolina.

Big power back with quickness and receiving ability. Good goa lline runner.

The rest of the draft; another guard and CB prospects.

My one issue with this is I think Cosmi is gone long before 42. Other than that I love it.

  12. I'm also starting to favor taking Ben Cleveland (OG Georgia), or Deonte Brown (OG Alabama) if we don't address OL in the 1st or 2nd. Cleveland for familiarity with Thomas and Deonte Brown because he looks like he picks his teeth with defenders.

FYI: Waddle, Smith, Chase, and Slater were all taken before #11 so I traded down to #15 and still got a quality lineman in the first, and quality reciever in the 2nd.

I try to stay away from PFF cause I'm not a fan of their rankings but that's a damn good draft.

  14. Well there's a couple reasons I went WR in the first. Only 4 QBs went in the top 10... one of which was Washington trading up to 9 for Trey Lance. Pitts, Sewell, Slater, Chase and Smith were also all off the board when Dallass took Surtain. That left me with Waddle or Parsons and as much as I like Parsons, he's more of a luxury pick to me than the WR as the defense is the clear strength of the team right now.

The other thing is that regardless of the Golladay/Ross signings we still had the 31st ranked offense. God forbid KG goes down for any length of time and this offense is right back to what it was in 2020. The argument about the OL is valid, but just improving the OL doesn't solve the full issue. Part of the OL issues were caused by our skill position players being incapable of dealing with press man and other team's just pinning their ears back and sending 7-8 rushers on nearly every play. I dare a team to try that with Golladay and Waddle on the field rather than Tate and Slayton.

I'm all for an Edge after the 1st as long as it doesn't conflict with a larger need... so if we go OL in the 1st and the WR names in the 2nd aren't worth pick 42 then by all means... go Edge. I just don't think its as big of a priority as some other think it is.

  15. I was messing around with the mock draft simulator on Pro Football Network and this is what I came up with for us. I didn't accept any trades this time (as the offers were terrible) and some players fell to unexpected places, but I think I'd be ecstatic if this was how the draft fell for us.

11 - Jaylen Waddle WR Alabama

42 - Wyatt Davis OG Ohio State

76 - Alim McNeill DT NCST

116 - Quincy Roche EDGE Miami

196 - Camryn Bynum CB California

201 - Larry Roundtree III RB Missouri
